Maggie | OTA
[It was a good distraction having them land planetside because Maggie has been trying not to worry, looking for their tiny Captain around every corner. With a new crewmate on the roster and plenty of new inventory to sort through from the last planet, Maggie keeps busy with a datapad in hand and her thoughts as focused as possible.
Anyone looking for her might find her hard at work between the lounge and the Medical Lab, but otherwise she's walking the ship trying to find Takeshi, carrying his panda with her as she goes. Really she could be anywhere on the ship.]
Planetside
[Taking a minute to herself is important, she knows, which is why she's exploring the planet, Takeshi's panda her companion of the day. The whole team business wasn't catching on for her, but it didn't stop her growing interest in the sports competitions. Specifically, she might be caught up taking a look at the cars available to race and stopping to enjoy what food she can get her hands on for a few credits. Lastly, the beach was a solid destination spot for her. It had been a long time since she could enjoy some where without worry and she was taking full advantage of it.]
[ooc: If there's specific locations within these two starts you want to meet up with Maggie, feel free to state that when you respond! Options include SS Goldstone's lounge, the med bay and anywhere else throughout the ship of importance while Maggie looks fruitlessly for Takeshi. Planetside includes any competitions with racing cars, the beach, and food locations.]
Beach!
When he approaches, he plops down next to her in the sand. ]
Not swimming, yet?

[It was pleasant enough. It was a good break with everything that was now going on in their lives - Carol was here and Maggie had done a double take seeing Daryl Dixon on one of the ship rosters that morning. Then she had Hoi Hoi to take care of, while she still couldn't find Takeshi.]
You could go swimming though.
[It might even be good for the both of them to actually try and enjoy this.]
no subject
[ Things are starting to feel better. To feel closer to home with the others showing uo, but they're not there quite yet. There are still things to consider- questions to answer. ]
I guess I could. I dunno.
[ He probably won't, though. He doesn't really want to get his eye patch wet. Carl does at least take off his boots and socks so he can dig his toes into the warm sand. ]
no subject
[As for the swimming thing - she can't help but frown at the way he dismisses the idea. Not that he did it outright, but that she can tell the insecurity is there.]
It's up to you. If you're worried about bandages I can change them for you. If you're worried about other people seein' you know it could just be you me and Carol if she wants to come. We could find our own spot to enjoy the water.
[Not to make him feel pressured or anything. She takes his hand.]
You should enjoy yourself, as much as you want to. This place is good, isn't it?

Lab/Med bay
He's reviewing the crew's medical files when he hears someone else walk into the med bay, and doesn't even raise his gaze from the datapad to greet them:]
Good morning.
no subject
She gapes openly at the cloak just floating in the middle of the air beside him. Then she shakes her head. It wasn't even close to the weirdest thing she's heard of.]
You must be Doctor - Strange, wasn't it?
[He was definitely strange alright.]
no subject
Mmm. Doctor Stephen Strange.
[While he keeps his eyes on the datapad, wanting to finish reading the files before looking up, the Cloak flies to the young woman, fabric brunching together in a 'hand' like corner, that it offers to the lady. If she's to take, the Cloak will fold over slightly, the top of the collar pressing lightly against the back of her hand, as if it's 'kissing' it.
Stephen, in the mean time, finally raises his eyes from his datapad and corks an eyebrow upward at the Cloak's antics.]
You must be Maggie?
[He's read her file already, but all if them only contains general medical information.]

Felix Harrowgate | ota
[A new system means that Felix doesn't spend all his time aboard the ship, but that doesn't mean there aren't some things that need to be done - and a new system also means there are sufficient supplies to help finish up the last of the repairs from the substantial damage the Goldstone sustained some time ago.
Find him tinkering about in various places in the ship, some panel exposed and various small smart scattered at his feet as he replaces damaged components. As is typical for him, he opts for simpler dress when it comes to getting his hands dirty, wearing only trousers and the fleet-issue undershirt, long hair bound in a messy braid to keep it out of the way.
If you stumble upon him in the engine room, you may find him doing a very different sort of maintenance. Placed in a metal stand right in front of the engine housing and carefully chained in place is a large dark stone sphere and shimmers inwardly with ripples of gold. Here the wizard lingers, ringed hand placed lightly atop the surface of the stone, his eyes closed as he lends power to the nexus of the ship's wards.]
B - Chores
[Other times that Felix returns are for smaller matters. Usually that matter is laundry because he's spending enough credits elsewhere and his wardrobe is still not as extensive as he would like.
Curiously, today he might be walking down the narrow corridor towards the rooms struggling with a laden basket of clothes and a small bowl of diced fresh fruit balanced on top of it]
Oh, it's you. Thank the powers. Help me with this, would you?
[Are you assuming he means the fruit bowl? Do you take it before he presses the the whole basket into your hands and then lifts the small bowl up to carry himself?]
Chores
Sure, buddy.
no subject
I knew I could count on you. The room isn't much further, but I was sure I was going to lose all of it.
[Smiling and seemingly oblivious to Mon-El's troubles for the time being, he beckons the man to follow him down the remainder of the hall into the slightly larger bedroom that he and Crowley shared.]
Just set it down on the bed, please.
[He gestures vaguely towards it, not quite looking behind him as he moves over to the side of the room to a set of shelves housing, among other things, a glass orb containing a small glowing fish and a small terrarium containing a rainbow-scaled snake. It's the second that he begins to drop the pieces of sliced fruit into]
no subject
He sets the items down on the bed.] Have you ever thought about just trying to transport fewer things at a time?
[He turns to watch Felix. He's never actually been in their room before. He definitely wasn't expecting the serpent or glowing fish.] Who's that?
(no subject)
Engineering
The demon is sitting on top of some ship part of other, watching Felix work while drinking a glass of wine. He has to get his entertainment from somewhere. ]
Anyway. I'm pretty sure this whole 'healthy competition' on this planet is going to just end in some horrible war or something, but I'm also morbidly curious as to what a competitive Jenga competition would look like so I kind of want to suggest that to the crazies just for shits and giggles.
no subject
Felix peaks up over the open panel, hands still questing for the problem area.]
Going by the logic many planets ago, competition might just be a way to avoid war.
[A beat] What is...Jenga?
no subject
Hmmm, you have a point. This whole system might just be teetering on the edge of it. Wonder how long it'll take the other members of the Fleet to knock it over?
[His grin widens. ]
It's a game. Basically you've got this little sticks of wood together to make a tower, then you take turns in removing a stick from it and placing it on top of the tower. If you make it fall over, you lose.

Engine room
The pulse of magic is strong here and Strange watches in silence the young man as he infuses what he guesses is the center of power of the wards. He doesn't hide as he waits for the other man to finish, knowing better than to disturb a magic user during a spell.]
That's an interesting idea. They're protection spells, right?
no subject
Yes. Very perceptive of you. [It's one thing to sense magic - many people in the fleet could recognize it on the basic level, if they had anything similar. It was another to recognize the form as being more than that. Color him intrigued.]
You'd be our newest arrival? We haven't been properly introduced. Felix Harrowgate. [He offers a hand]
no subject
Mmm, it was a lucky guess. [Not really, and Strange doesn't say that out of modesty, that's not in his nature. But he's not either about to reveal too much about himself either. Not until he knows the crew better.]
I am. Dr. Stephen Strange, [he offers, moving to grasp the man's forearm instead of his hand to shake. It's just as polite, and much less painful for Strange. His grasp is firm despite the scars on his hand and the light tremor of it.]
I arrived a few days ago. [Form the thin, tight line of his lips, it's easy to figure that this isn't a place he wishes to be stuck in.]
I wasn't aware that this ship had sorcerers on it.

Dr. Strange | OTA
[Why go for the protein-based goo stuff when you have transmuting magic at your disposal? Strange was wondering that very existential question as he looked down at the bland food in his plate. Even if it was flavored, it didn't smell that much appealing. Masters of the mystic arts were not supposed to use their knowledge for personal gain, but this surely qualified as using his magic for the greater good, right? Him being hangry wouldn't do any good to anyone.
And so, somewhere while moving from the counter to the kitchen table, the protein-based goo in his plate had turned into one of those delicious turkey and bacon sandwich from the Deli close to the Sanctum in New York. Even the green tea in his cup had changed into a jasmine-perfumed oolong tea, teh same one he would get from Karma-Taj.
He might miss New York, but at least he wouldn't miss the food here.]
Med Bay/Lab Station
[Even if medicine knowledge had dominated his life, Strange found that the equipment in the med bay was very different from the one he used to work with at Met General. It was why he sent most of his day in the lab, reading all the reports available, all the research done on the augment that was permitted to read. As a neurosurgeon, he was rather curious on how these...things had been attached to their brain, while how they could feed information to their user.
Whenever he read on the datapad, the Cloak of Levitation would move off his back, looking around the med bay too, though it seemed to be careful enough not to touch anything. If anyone were to join him there, the Cloak would raise a corner of fabric, and wave it as a sign of welcome.]
Planetside
[Stephen's top level can be found here.]
Kitchen
Um...hi. Are you a friend of someone's? [No particular person.]
(OOC: Is he wearing the cape?)
no subject
No. I was transferred here a few days ago. Didn't you get the memo?
[His words were lightly laced with sarcasm: he would have assume the crew would have been informed of his transfer from the Marsiva, no?]
[ooc: he is!

I'm Mon-El. [He holds out a hand for a shake, but then looks uncertain.] I guess you have your hands full though.

Med Bay;;
A floating cloak that's waving at him. ]
Hey, Mag-- umm. [ He looks around quickly, not spotting her. ]
What..
no subject
He turns around when he hears someone in the lab, and Strange smirks lightly at the surprised expression the teen wears while looking at the waving Cloak. The Cloak's friendliness might be a bit annoying at times, but it never gets old watching people realize that it's sentient.]
She's not here at the moment. [Stephen offers while walking closer to the boy.] Can I help you with something?
[The kid is not on the crew roster, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't help him.]
no subject
[ He moves further into the medical bay, leaning against one of the counters. His attention splits between Stephen and the cloak just.. floating on its own. It's weird, and kind of funny. ]
I haven't seen you around, you must be new?
