By releasing information in bits and pieces through specific channels and avenues, I'm hoping it will yield a more concrete understanding of their surveillance network.
It's a forgone conclusion that Atroma is monitoring our communication devices, of course. [Cas is...not as familiar with technology, but Sam and Dean have Charlie have 'hacked' into things often enough for Cas to get the general gist.] While using the comms, I will only refer to this as an attempt to rescue Sam. Details such as who will attack where, our exact numbers, our methods and so on will be revealed away from the Fleet, away from the comms.
...I may ask for a volunteer unafraid of the danger to allow me to speak of their role in the plan aboard the ships, to test their ability to monitor us there. If I have no volunteer, I'll use myself for it.
If Atroma knows and prepares for everything, then that means we're absolutely being monitored somehow through our augments, and at least we'll know that for certain. Of course, the effectiveness of this strategy depends entirely on how Atroma chooses to respond to the threat. If they kill us instantly, with no quarter, all we'll know is that they at any cost want to protect the Marvisa from us.
[He's given it some. Cas does still tend to run off half-cocked more often than not.] It isn't outside the realm of possibility. [Cas is most acquainted with organizations that operate exclusively with extremes, so that's what he's betting on.] They may have stated prior that we're valuable merchandise to them, but I doubt we're as valuable as the preservation of their operations.
I doubt they'll bring in those who were not. A certain level of activity is required too, I imagine.
[ Thor would be a draw. Loki too. They're god and how often can you boast about that? It was such a topic of conversation on Sakaar, where the rules were similar. ]
But the level of power they put out will let us know for sure. Why kill if they can simply incapacitate?
[For the first time, Cas hesitates before sharing.]
Heaven kept most angels in line through propaganda. It worked. Many angels are just made to serve, myself included.
When status quo failed, more extreme measures were used. It wasn't seen as extreme at the time, and even now. It was just what we knew. [Naomi, if she were alive, would just say that she did it for the good of Heaven. Like Zachariah, like everyone else. Like Castiel had too, once upon a time.]
Sam and his brother Dean spoke with me. Befriended me. [Though apparently Cas had disobeyed many times before, not that he can remember any of those, either.] Their willingness to explain to me concepts they found simple helped me to see that Heaven's course was wrong.
[ For a brief moment, there is a surge of jealousy. When Loki had his revelations, he was alone. His "friends" left him alone, his father was asleep and his mother was concerned about Thor, Thor who plagued Loki's mind with fear and nightmares, because Loki knew, the minute Thor came back, it was over. He was alone and he's been alone for so long that he hates it with a spitefulness that comes back to blame others for it.
He forces it down. Asgard is dead. ]
Having views from the outside does wonders to a narrow mind.
Yes. [Which is also why he can't be as hard on his siblings as Dean tends to be. Especially with people like Hannah who genuinely try even when they don't understand, because they want to understand.
Still, he doesn't miss that twitch of Loki's expression. Like he kind of wants to hit something (or someone).] Are you familiar with the concept? You seem it.
That's not true. [Buddy ur so bitter Cas could make a drink from u] Our various complexes have nothing to do with the mission at hand, however. Do you have any concerns?

[ It may not yield much, but it would give them a good idea of what the Atroma is capable of beyond hearsay. ]

So you've given this a lot of thought. Do you think they'd kill us?

As far as points go, it may not be the best one. Especially if they have the power to bring us back. Death stops becoming a deterrent.

[ "Tyranny" doesn't quite fit the profile of the Atroma. ]
You are very upset about this Sam's disappearance.

Sam showed me faith and kindness when I least deserved it. Without he and his brother, I would still be a slave to Heaven's desires.
