festival day!
Who: EVERYONE
Broadcast: Up to you
Action: Everywhere in the Yadrolla system!
When: 5/30
[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!
There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.
Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.
Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

[He doesn't need a dog. He doesn't. He can always borrow Umbra or Pryna if he's missing them. A pet is just, so much responsibility! Not that he wouldn't dedicate every moment he could to a sweet little pupper. He spends some time looking at them, regardless. And then he wanders around looking at what else was available.]
A bird could be cool. Those are easier to take care of. Right? Are they?
[ Shopping ]
[He can be found all over the shops, poking at things, overall bewildered and indecisive, picking things up, then putting them back a moment later. Sometimes he mutters about the quality, or the colors. Someone has a birthday coming up, and he wants to find something perfect. It's harder than he anticipated.]
[ Festivities ]
[His team did not win, but he's going to celebrate anyway. He's got confetti stuck in his hair and glitter everywhere else, and it's fantastic. He'll be cheering as the parade rolls by, sampling food from the stalls, and bobbing along at a party, drink in hand.]
festivities!
Prompto!
[Once she gets through the crowd, she grabs his shoulder to balance, grinning. She's got an oversized Starstrikers jersey on, despite not having joined a team. On the back it says 'Ihlefeld' with a large 02 underneath the name.]
Hey, what're you getting to eat? [She looks to the stall.] Mind sharing?
no subject
Kebabs. Or something like it.
[As the vendor wraps up his order, he looks back at her and gives the jersey a little tug.]
This is cute. Wrong team though.
no subject
Thank you.
[Kaname reaches out to take the food while Prompto's focused on her shirt.]
How so? They won after all. [She turns to the side to look for a less crowded area to eat.]

[When she turns, he catches sight of the name on the back her jersey. Oh. He knows that name.]
...Is that Messer's shirt?
[His voice sounds a little strained, though he tries to force it into merely curious, not worried at all.]

[Kaname finds a small area that looks to have a little room for sitting or leaning, and moves to head over when she hears the question.]
Mhm. He gave it to me, since he'd never wear it. Today seemed like a good day to try it out.
[She's already making her way over, keeping an eye on the spot, lest she lose track of it.]
no subject
It makes sense. Friends give each other things. That how friendships work. Still, there's a weird pressure in his chest that he doesn't want to define.]
Right. Sure. Of course.
[When they reach their spot, he turns and leans back.]
no subject
Here.
[After he takes it, Kaname steps back just a bit and pulls the jersey off. Underneath is a yellow workout top that leaves her stomach exposed. Luckily for her, the jersey's sleeves are long enough to tie around her waist. That done, she goes to his side again and holds out a hand for one of the kebabs.]
Is that better? [Despite her question, she still smiles at him.]
no subject
You don't have to do that.
[Though, let's be honest, the yellow top is much cuter. He sighs, and pulls on a smile.]
I'm sorry. I'm being dumb.
no subject
You're not, don't apologize. I always want you to be comfortable with me. [Kaname takes her food stick and spins it, letting it cool.]
If the roles were reversed, I might feel a little displeased as well. [Leaning against him slightly, she hums a little.] But if I get cold, that's your responsibility.
no subject
I'll take it. You can borrow my jacket. [Without the sleeves. It works for him! Though he could live with her putting the shirt back on. That ... that would be okay.]
no subject
Oh wow, this one's very good. We might have to go back for seconds.
[She peers to look at his.] Did you get the same one?
no subject
He takes a bite of his own, and nods.]
Yeah, they're the same. It is good. You can have the rest of mine?

[ She's not here to get a pet herself. But, seeing the animals is rather nice, she thinks. It's a nice change of pace from everything else that's been going on. ]

[Which, he's guessing, are nothing like taking care of birds.]

[Research kind of took the fun out of having a pet, even if it was necessary.]
You're probably right. Ahh, it's just an idea. Pets aren't something to take lightly.
