[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!

There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.

Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.

Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

[She stops when he holds his hand out, looking warily at him.]

You have to promise to put it on. It took me a while to find one in decent shape.

[And she's wearing one that has "Ihlefeld 02" on the back. Wonder what that's about.]

[He was curious about the name for a moment, but then shrugged a little.]

I guess.

[He looked at the hat with a small grimace, debating it, and then finally just sighed.]

Fine.

[Did he look less than thrilled? Yes... he was less than thrilled.]

But you have to promise not to tell anyone, and no pictures.

[Kaname grins, nodding as she hands it over. When it's nicely on his head, she chuckles a little.]

It looks good! Very celebratory.

[Isn't it worth it to make a friend happy?]

Thanks... I guess. [Keith huffed a small chuckle through his nose.]

So, you here for just the parade? Or a particular competitor?

[He nodded down at the jersey she was wearing.]

Parade, mostly. [Looking down, she grins.]

This is Messer's. He's a friend from home that arrived at the start of the previous system. [Pretty tall, going by how baggy it is on her.] Since he wasn't going to wear it, I figured I should.

That works.

[Keith shrugged a little.]

Did you participate in anything yourself?

I did actually. Some talent and singing contests. I won a few, which was a nice surprise. [She smiles at him.] Lance caught up with me after a bigger one. He said he wanted to start idol training.

[Kaname wants to see Keith's reaction before elaborating further.]

A surprise?

[Keith chuckled a little.]

You're an idol singer. Why would it be surprising to win?

[Wait... did she...?]

He wants to what?

There was some good competition! I don't want to assume my skills are better than others just because I've been doing it for so long. [She shrugs a little, still smiling.

Ah, there it is.]

He asked for my help with it. Singing, dancing, performing... things like that.

[Well, that was a nice way to think about competitors-

But, Lance...]

I hope this doesn't mean he wants me to do it, too.

He didn't mention anything like that. [She bites her lip to keep back a grin.] I don't think you need to be worried.

[Keith sighed in relief.] Good. [He gave Kaname a tiny smile.] No offense, but that kind of stuff definitely is not for me.
