festival day!
Who: EVERYONE
Broadcast: Up to you
Action: Everywhere in the Yadrolla system!
When: 5/30
[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!
There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.
Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.
Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

He tried to punch me.

[It takes more than an amped-up sports fan to ruin Thor's day.]
The poor man was very passionate about his team. I think he tried to pull down the Starstrikers' decorations before that.

No. Certainly not the kind he wished to have. It's fortunate as well - he would not have lasted long if I was of a mind to take him up on the challenge.

Well, I would not subject a misguided man to that kind of attack. The Marsiva earned my ire.

It can only take it because it repairs itself. It's not impenetrable on its own.
[He'd seen the damage his lightning caused in the split seconds before things were repaired. Once might have been a trick of the eye, but several times? No.]

Like fighting my mentor. [She smiles a little.] Although he doesn't heal quite as fast as that ship was.
no subject
Your mentor could heal at such a rate?
[That's a rare skill, even for someone as well-travelled as Thor. Asgardians heal at a much faster rate than humans or other species, but even they can't heal within the space of a battle.]
I suspect they could be using the same technology we found on that last system.
no subject
It's pretty rapid. He has an accelerated healing factor. If you do enough damage at once he can't keep up with it though.
Hmm.
I wonder if the same would be true of the ship if attacked from several different points at once.
[She tips her head.] The resetting technology?
no subject
[It had nearly done so to Thor and to Loki. He doubts Castiel fared much better, close-lipped though the angel was. At the point of retreat Thor hadn't much though to spare for anyone else.]
Yes, the replicator. It happened nearly as fast as the resets on Nariba Relia. Perhaps that's why we stopped there to begin with - they could be related in some way.
no subject
Hmm...you think we stopped there so they could hand us a clue? [She doubts this tech is new for the Marsiva. She's not even sure it's tech after seeing that oilslick thing.]

[Belatedly, he takes a mouthful of his drink. Spotting an empty table over at the corner of the dancefloor, he beckons Kitty to follow him. It doesn't seem like they'll get much more dancing done with this topic of conversation.]
Well, I would not be that charitable. I doubt they want us to know anything. I simply do not think it a coincidence that the Marsiva's regeneration looks similar.
no subject
She follows along. She had really meant to have fun and not get too deep into it, but they can probably do both.]
Maybe not, but why drag us through places that could give us clues. They're the ones in control. Overconfident?
no subject
Considering nothing seems to draw their obvious attention, maybe. I have not once heard the voices of those so-called hosts.
no subject
I'm never sure if their representatives are also part host or if they really are just people working for them. But even they don't come out much and one of the times they did they were super murdered...in the communication. [The music quieted down just as she yelled, "super murdered" so that got some looks.]
no subject
He blows out a breath, drumming his fingers on the table.]
Yes... I have heard the recording of that. It was terrible. [Regardless of how complicit the hosts are, gruesome deaths like that do get under the skin.] Other than then, though, there's no direct line of communication to the Atroma, is there?
no subject
Not that I've heard. It's like they're afraid of opening up. Making connections. I'm worried about them. [The humor is dry. There's no actual concern for the Atroma.]
no subject
I have met rocks more receptive to connections than these Atroma, so you're not wrong there.
no subject
Maybe we save ourselves by teaching them to love. [Not serious in anyway, but she is amused by the thought.]
no subject
Someone else can do that. It isn't what I have in mind.
no subject
We probably aren't going to solve it tonight. Want to dance instead? [Ahem.]
