[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!

There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.

Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.

Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

Not your precious jacket. [Luckily she doesn't feel remotely sick. Helps that she's still pretty young with a strong constitution.] Could you ever forgive me?

Do you have any idea how expensive this is to dry clean?

I mean, it cost nothing because I don't bother dry cleaning it... or well, anything I own, but could you imagine how expensive it would be if I did!?

I'll try to spare you that fate. I feel fine except for a little dizzy from spinning. You could always take it off if you're really worried. [Maybe he collapses into dust if he takes it off.]

I could, but then I'd have to carry it. That sounds like a pain. [Somehow he manages to find them a table ledge to at least lean against in the crowded club.]

I don't know. You seem reasonably strong. I think you could carry it. I bet you could carry me. [Stretching up to slide her arms around his neck. She might just climb him. Maybe not the right dress for climbing though.]

[She's not wrong. Even without his robotic left arm he has the strength to carry her. He can't help but laugh as she starts to climb Mt. Vash.]

If I'm carrying you then I'll be carrying you home. I'm not exactly a taxi service.

Home? I thought you weren't up for more tonight. [She gives him a teasing smile.]

Well, yeah, home. So you could go to bed an-- [Oooooooh. He gets it now as his whole face goes red for a moment. He walked himself right into that. He speaks hurriedly as he suddenly finds himself caught somewhere between being amused and highly embarrassed.] I-didn't-mean-it-like-that!

[Leaning in close.] Your face matches your coat.

Hahaha, does it? [Please stop that face.] Well, it looks like I'm carrying you now. So what are you going to do if I start walking home? [This isn't his lame attempt to change the subject. No way!]

Why don't you try it and find out. [Looking pretty smug about her chances of victory here.]

Alright! I will! [He's going to start striding back home. She may look smug, but she''ll likely end up disappointed with the end results.]

[She holds on tight and then leans in to kiss his neck. How is his plan going?]

Ah! [CRAP! That felt good. He falters a bit in his step at the distraction. It still didn't feel right. She was drunk and he was certainly not Winn. What should he do? What should he- oh! He knows!]

A-Actually! You're getting pretty heavy! I may have to set you down for a bit! [Indirectly calling a woman fat. That usually ruins the mood pretty good!]

[She returns to standing on her feet.] Yeah? Do you always blush when someone's too heavy? [Looking more smug than offended.]

I do when I'm so out of breath from having to kart something so heavy so far! [If he gets slapped for that he's knows he will deserve it as he puts on a more clueless look to his features.]

This right here [Waving at him.] is you being a jerk for no reason. Why this?

[Well, that worked. Sort of.] Eh? [He blinks a bit clueless.] What do you mean? I'm just a bit weak in the arms. I know! Maybe I can carry you on my back instead. That might work.

[She's so much more annoyed by the clueless act than the heavy comments.] Carry yourself back. I'm staying to have fun.

[He shouldn't feel so disappointed. This is partly what he wanted, right? To avoid an awkward situation later.] At least text me when you're ready to come home?

Are you seriously leaving? [More annoyed at him for implying he's going to do the thing she just told him to do.]

Wha- but I thought that-- it's just-- I mean, don't you want me to go? [Now he's just honestly confused. Which because he's already been trying to act clueless and dumb it could possibly be mistaken for more of the act.]

No. I invited you. I want you here. I just want you, not pretend you.

Alright then. [He's still a bit confused. Mostly about his own feelings and what sort of mess he's making now.] Shall we go back in?
