[At last, the day has come: Festival Day! Once again, the Starstrikers have taken the trophy this year. But that doesn't mean members of other teams, or those who didn't play, can't celebrate with the rest of them!

There are parties everywhere. Ribbons, streamers, and confetti litter every major street in the system. (Remember what they say about glitter...) There is food on every block, and people cramming into shops to get in on the merch.

Don't forget about the reason for the festival-- the pet adoption drive! A large playground-type area has been set up on the Starstrikers' desert moon where people can play and interact with the lovable creatures needing new homes. Whether you're looking for companionship or just something to do, there's plenty to coo over! Every pet comes with an info card listing a fanciful name and a general description of their age and temperament. Maybe Sir Pringle the puppy or Marquess Mariana the fish can become your new best friend.

Sadly, the Fleet will be drifting in about a week... but feel free to party until then!]

[Any celebration, Lance is there. So sue him, he adores parties and the like. Keith had been nowhere to be found when he'd headed out from the Huntress, so he assumed that for whatever reason, he'd already joined in the festivities.

Though he grumbles to himself a bit because really, he should have asked him to join!

It doesn't take too long to find his boyfriend, but he pauses when he begins to approach him and Kitty. Specifically, because he hears his name mentioned, and...well. So sue him, he wants to eavesdrop a bit and find out what they're saying about him.

By the time he hears talk about trading him for Kitty, Lance growls a little to himself and makes his way over. Yes, Kitty looks drunk and it's a joke, but still! He isn't angry perse, but there's still a flare of jealousy in him.

The first thing he does upon reaching them is throwing his arm around Keith's shoulder, giving him a tight squeeze.]

[Yes... Keith was very very very confused. He was about to ask more questions when he suddenly had an arm around him and a somewhat possessive boyfriend draped around his neck.

[Because Keith was definitely not smooth. He tried, and liked to think and pretend he was, but he wasn't. Definitely not.]

[He gives a little pout at Kitty... Then a bigger pout at Keith, as he gives his shoulders yet another squeeze.]

Soooo, what's this I hear about me being traded?

[And suddenly Keith felt that chewy center starting to wilt under the unwanted scrutiny. He just came to make sure Kitty was okay! But he was feeling so attacked right now.]

I- but- no! I'm not trading him- you. I just... why do people think I'm trading Lance?

Because I joked about it and then you started considering it before you got obsessed with ice. [Yep. That was clearly what happened. Her space vodka agrees.]

[Okay, now Lance is just flat out pouting.]

[Keith almost pouted as well.]

I'm not considering anything. [He crossed his arms, a visible sign of his discomfort.] I just came to see if she was okay because her texts were all weird. I have no idea how this even turned into a relationship trade.

And they were quirky and delightful. [She corrects without pouting.] None of this talk is dancing. [Why are you boys being so tiresome?]
