[ Aerith spends a great deal of her time happily wandering around the ship, keeping things tidy and up to date, before she settles in the kitchen. As the on-ship cook she's more than happy to spend some of her time each day making sure there's something like decent food for everyone with what little they have from planet to planet. She does what she can, and she can sometimes be found sitting in the kitchen as things cook and prepare before she puts them in the fridges or cupboards to keep.

Otherwise, she can be found in her room with the door open, tending to the few flower pots that decorate the place, adjusting the decorations she has up and making herself at home and comfortable. Sometimes she's reading a book, sometimes she's just lying in bed with her eyes closed and a smile on her face. ]

[ Alisha just so happens to enter the kitchen when Aerith prepares to start cooking. She wasn't planning on doing what she's about to ask, but... why not? ]

Good evening. Would you like some assistance?

[ Turning her head, Aerith brightens before she puts her things to one side and offers a smile. ]

If you really don't mind! I'm not making anything too difficult, I don't think...

[aspearing]

[ She'll offer a smile in return. She hasn't had a chance to speak with Aerith very much, but this is a good opportunity to do just that. ]

I'm inexperienced with cooking myself, but I'll do what I can to help. What were you trying to make?

Just something... Like pasta. We don't really have the right ingredients, but there's something that's almost like it...

[ And she just looks... Baffled. ]

[Nami can help out with that lack of variety thing. SHe comes into the kitchen while Aerith is there, toting a basket full of supplies.

...meager, tiny-ish vegetables, but it's a start? And a handful of mikan for the fruit bowl.]

[ Aerith looks positively delighted when she sees the vegetables, pushing herself up and moving over to peer in. ]

They look good!

[Nami grins at the reaction, a little relieved.] They're my first batch. I'm more used to growing fruit, but I thought with so many seeds available I should at least try the vegetable garden idea.

[Girlfriend! Hey, girlfriend!! Zack's poking his head in the doorway to check if she's up or not, smiling in that trying-poorly-to-hide-secret way.]

[ That's... Zack, honey, you're so obvious, but she smiles. ]

[HEE okay okay okay, keep it cool. He sneaks into the room fully, hands behind his back.]

So, I got you something! Well, okay, Nami helped. But I did the legwork.

[Prompto is a visitor! He's here for his girlfriend. But until she's ready, he'll be wandering between her room and her office. Or hovering in the kitchen.]

[Oh, it's Kaname's Significant Other. This is where Nami clearly steps in and intimidates him as Kaname's captain or some such right--

[He plops into a seat. It only takes a second for his feet to start kicking.]

[SHE'LL CONSIDER IT. Bribe her and she'd be your friend for life though. Also, nervous energy alert. It's like watching a bored Luffy.]

No problem. You're Prompto, right? I'm Nami. Friend of Kaname's. She's told me so much about you.

[Kaname's office? You mean Messer's room, right!? Because he's there right now, folding laundry very professionally on the couch. Sup, Prompto.]

[Office. Room. Whatever. He's not going to judge. The whole reason he transferred to the First Breath was so he could be with his friends.]

[Messer lifts a finger to his mouth, calling for quiet, and folds a sheet aside to reveal Q-lulu curled up and asleep in his lap.]

I have no complaints, but please keep your voice down a little.

[Psst, Chocobo-butt. Your hair looks a lot like Cloud's from behind.

Which is why Zack's suddenly draping an arm around Prompto's shoulders.]

[Oh shit, that voice is wrong. Zack lifts his arm off and leans in to check the face, and- yep. Wrong chocobo butt hair.]

[Downtime off-planet means too much free time, so Messer's visiting the Bloodsport again, because he half-lives here now, though as somewhat of a ghost since he isn't the most social. His focus is on examining the equipment and shuttles for any quirks or defects, making sure the ship is up to snuff. He's also guiding a little painted cleaning bot through the halls and letting it take care of any mess it comes across; since the Bloodsport doesn't have a maintenance augment assigned, he takes care of it for his own ship and here.

In other words, he's... around.]

[Man, Nami is never gonna knock back someone doing voluntary work to help out the ship. She's also not the type to begrudge visitors, antisocial or otherwise (boy Kaname does get a lot of them, though none as blatantly invasive as Sam's barging angel).

Mostly she leaves him to his own devices. She's bubbly and he's, uh. Not. So you know, as you do. Except for one day after he passes the kitchen with his little cleaning bot, she calls out to get his attention.]

Hey. Messer. [C'mere for a sec.]

[Messer glances sidelong at her, pausing mid-step; the little bot whirs up behind him, trying to stop, and instead veering into the wall. There's a silent look of exasperation crossing Messer's expression as he crouches to correct it. Stupid Delta 5, why does he keep bringing it when Freyja's not even here?]

What is it?

[Because you look like you want something.]

[Snrk. She glances down at the bot for a moment with clear amusement. Your problem botchild, Messer.]
