Looma Red Wind
Other than that, when she's not off the ship working at Space Bar or tinkering at Sokka's forge, she can be found around the ship doing various things. Like damaging everyone's calm by caving in a few interior bulkheads to stay in shape down in the cargo hold- don't worry, they'll pop back into place- or making sure the weapons in the armory are properly maintained. She might also occasionally be found hauling some fresh supplies over to the kitchen for Sam, just so nobody has to eat the protein rations unless they really, really want to.
It's also likely she'll be coming to investigate if anyone visits the ship while she's aboard. She does like knowing who's coming and going after all, especially when they aren't one of her people.]

Finding him in the kitchen will see him floating around a few ingredients like hot chocolate mix and some milk to make a diabetic coma in a mug. You can try and snatch some of his mini marshmallows from their bag, but he will have some words about that.
On the bridge, he's sipping the hot chocolate while floating around several objects of various size. A couple of books, a small statuette, and a small string of marbles sail around his head, seemingly heeding only the slightest twirling of his hand.
If you really need some time to talk out your feelings, the office doors are wide open today. His feet are kicked up on the table as he blasts some classical music. You might not get noticed right away, though. A very distracting notebook in his hands is being written in. You can ask what's in it, but answers may vary.]

But lately he can be found every day - morning, noon, and evening - in the kitchen. He needs something to focus on, and he knows that keeping to himself isn't exactly doing great things for his mental health. As much as he doesn't want to get settled in, he does want to feel like he's doing something useful, and setting up regular meal times to cook for people is the best he's got right now.
He'll make a breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, and if people aren't there to get it when it's fresh (fresh-ish), he'll leave leftovers with little notes on how to reheat it. For those who do catch him while he's cooking or cleaning up, he might ask for a taste test for something he's trying to whip together with what they've got. He's often got a little parrotlet from the last system with him, who he talks to like he's expecting to understand him.
Regardless of what time it is, anyone he sees will get a smile and a greeting, like he's trying to make up for the last two months. ]

So he feels useless. Totally useless. Which leads to a lot of wandering around and trying to find things to do that aren't sleep or work out.
His eyes dart from the bird to Sam and he manages a nod for a greeting, because he's still got the social skills of an aggressive kumquat, and kind of awkwardly gestures at the dishes. ]
I can... clean those.
no subject
A nod is good enough as far as Sam's concerned, and his smile promptly brightens a bit when he offers to do the dishes, however awkwardly. ]
Hell yeah, man, that'd be awesome. I might have something workable by then, you wanna try it for me?
no subject
[ It's better than nothing, he guesses. Honestly he's just happy to have something to do that isn't aggressively attacking the floor with a mop. ]
no subject
So this was the cook that Looma had mentioned that they had. It had been the first time he actually met him since his arrival.
Hux gave a nod in his direction as he finally decided to have some breakfast after all.]
Good morning. I had been wondering who was leaving the various meals behind.
no subject
Unfortunately, he cleans with the same intensity that he does literally everything else. It's not uncommon to catch him aggressively scrubbing the floor, a mantra of DIE GERMS DIE YOU FUCKING GERMS echoing down the halls.
When he's not cleaning, he's - well he's trying to find some way to be physically active. Push-ups, crunches, whatever. He just needs to be moving because he's going stir-crazy and he hasn't even been here a full month yet. ]
no subject
I appreciate the effort, but I'm fairly certain the germs do not care what you deem fit to call them.
no subject
[ Everything sucks and this is the best way to vent his frustration that isn't smashing the hell out of everything around him. ]
no subject
Who could tell? I think I've heard you muttering about on the ship. If you want to talk about where that hatred for germs comes from, I happen to be the ship personnel support.
no subject
except not really. explosions aren't safe here. he just glowers. ]
I just don't like things to be fucking dirty. Is that a crime?
no subject
Not at all. If I had known, I might have looked out for devices or supplies to make cleaning easier for you. It seems to bring you your preferred method for working out aggression.
no subject
No, what grabs and actually holds her attention is all the effort he goes through to try and stay active. She can relate to that much. So she may as well try to help there, even if she won't push for it too hard.
She actually was listening to Aizawa when he said how much Bakugou hated coddling
no one tell him.]You can leave the ship, you know. There may not be any planets within range, but the Iskaulit remains an option. I have noticed a few members of the Fleet running the halls as a routine of sorts. It even has a better gym- not that I've used it.
[Just because she was assured some of the equipment was meant for people with strength well beyond what humans are known for doesn't mean she ever believed it. At least with the Bishop she knows she can't permanently damage anything.]
Or is there some benefit to staying in more confined spaces? I'm not yet fully accustomed to living among you humans.

It was more practice for him then anything and learning to improvise with what he had. It was also something for him to do. He missed tinkering and working on hands on projects like this. While, it wasn't going as fast as he would like it to go, it was going at a decent speed. He was used to having everything at his disposal so it slowed him down.]
:D
She stops dead in her tracks as she passes through the doorway, recognizing the man at the table and consequently frowning in his direction. And hey, he's working on some tech. She'd be much more interested in knowing what he's working on and asking about it if she hadn't already formed a general distaste for Mr. Space Military.
After another moment she continues on her way, passing the table on her way to investigate what snacks are available, doing her best not to spare any more glances in Hux's direction. Even though she is curious about what he's working on.]
:)
If she wanted to talk she was going to have to start the conversation. It would be even better if she apologized, but he doubted that would happen.
With a gloved hand and a tool, he was carefully connecting wires together. This was the important part of setting up the droid. The actual construction of the droid wouldn't be so complex.]
awkwardness ahoy~
Once seated, she pulls out her latest iteration of a tablet and allows herself to get lost into her coding work, tapping away with one hand while eating with the other. Enjoy that awkward tension, Hux.]
no subject
Ever so often he would stop to take a drink from his tea and eat the meal he had set out for himself. He eventually got the wiring finished and began to slowly construct the base of the droid itself.]
no subject
So Hux might look up at some point and find Pidge staring at his work like she's forgotten that he himself is there as well. She's zeroed in on the tech alone. She's even kind of forgotten about the sandwich she's holding in one hand.]

I'm putting together an MSE-6 series repair droid. Most people know them as a mouse droid. These droids can do a multitude set of tasks not only meant for repairing. They can be used for cleaning, delivering messages, escort people, surveillance, or even slicing. They're small size helps them go unnoticed, which can be pretty hand at times.
[Hux quietly explained as he continued to put the parts together. He was careful not to make eye contact with her or show any signs that he's aware she's watching. He tried to keep the explanation short and to the point, not wanting to overwhelm or cause her to loose her attention.]
no subject
Which she only remembers to swallow when she attempts to give voice to one of her questions.]
It looks like it would have wheels. Wouldn't it be more convenient to use some hover tech instead? [Rover is the droid she has in mind as she continues to watch Hux work, mentally searching for ways to make Rover's tech compatible with Hux's MSE-6.]
no subject
[Hux answered in a quiet tone while he continued to work. He was grateful that Pidge was asking questions and accepting what was being said and not challenging everything. It helped ease the tension a little.]
no subject
Do you have kinds that can convert themselves as needed, or are they kept separated by function?
no subject
I merely started with the mouse droid because it was something I had practiced on when I was a child. I also felt it was one of the less complex ones to practice.
