[The face of the pretty sword of the fleet comes on and he smiles pleasantly at the camera, bowing his head in a way that makes that wing-like hair sway like the flapping of wings.]

A good day to you all. After a welcome suggestion from one of the captains here, I have established a dojo aboard the Iskaulit. It is open and welcome for all but I do wish to mention that I will be offering lessons in swordsmanship here. Please feel free to come and use the space for your purposes.

[He tilts his head just a little.]

For those who have already asked for lessons, they are ready to begin. I look forward to seeing you.

[Another smile and he ends the transmission.]

Action - Dojo

[He has been rather pleased with his find here and has taken a number of days to make sure that the dojo is properly setup. Now it looks like a dojo one might find in Japan and he's even crafted some pieces of wood into practice blades which hang on the wall. Naturally there are a number of sizes since not everyone will be able to wield the same length of blade.

Today he is in a more simplistic outfit. A modified version of what his citadel attire looks like. Something he's put together after gathering some clothes from one of the systems. It will work well for teaching others to use a blade. And this is how one will find him when they walk into his dojo. Sometimes dancing as he waits, sometimes kneeling, sometimes practicing with one of the wooden swords for himself.

No matter how you find him, he will offer a smile in greeting. Welcome to the dojo...]

[He laughs lightly at that.]

[The thing about being a sword? You're not nearly so bothered by a child saying such things. Especially not after all he's seen over the years.]

A smaller blade would help you to move faster against an attacker which will greatly aid your smaller form.

You've got a good point there, it would make me a lot faster! Like a ninja who can sneak up on you and pop right out nowhere!

[She said before kneeling down and then suddenly popping back up with a sudden 'Boo'!]

Maybe I might give a small sword a try! Who knows, maybe I'll like it!

[Fetching a blade more her size, he gets one to match and beckons her to the middle of the room.]

[That gets a gentle laugh from him.]

Not at all. You will find these do not have quite the same reach or flexibility.

Oh? Then it just means I need to work extra hard to make sure that I become better at it! Or else!

It does. We will begin with how to hold the sword. There are a couple of ways with smaller blades like this that help provide versatility. The first is with two hands.

[He demonstrates what he means before slowly releasing one hand from the sword as he continues.]

[He nods to have her try holding the sword as he is.]

[As soon as Mabel held the sword, she eyes quickly lit up. She couldn't believe it, she was actually holding a sword and she looked so cool!

She almost forgot about the lesson and was tempted to swing around in it like there was no tomorrow!]

Oh my gosh, look at me! I look really awesome, don't I? [She squealed before attempting to hold it just like him. So far, things are going good!]

[And this is why she is learning with a wooden sword FIRST. He can tell that was the right decision just by the look in her eyes. Even if he finds it delightful.]

But, he does walk her through three different moves that she can do with her sword, coming over to help her correct her form. For a few minutes, he goes through them with her before stepping in front of her to watch.

Just continuing like this she's sure to start feeling how tired that makes her arm since she's not used to it. But he is pleased with her desire to learn all the same.]
