Welcome to the dojo
Who: Kogarasumaru and YOU
Broadcast: Yes
Action: At his new dojo on the Iskaulit
When: The rest of June
Broadcast
[The face of the pretty sword of the fleet comes on and he smiles pleasantly at the camera, bowing his head in a way that makes that wing-like hair sway like the flapping of wings.]
A good day to you all. After a welcome suggestion from one of the captains here, I have established a dojo aboard the Iskaulit. It is open and welcome for all but I do wish to mention that I will be offering lessons in swordsmanship here. Please feel free to come and use the space for your purposes.
[He tilts his head just a little.]
For those who have already asked for lessons, they are ready to begin. I look forward to seeing you.
[Another smile and he ends the transmission.]
Action - Dojo
[He has been rather pleased with his find here and has taken a number of days to make sure that the dojo is properly setup. Now it looks like a dojo one might find in Japan and he's even crafted some pieces of wood into practice blades which hang on the wall. Naturally there are a number of sizes since not everyone will be able to wield the same length of blade.
Today he is in a more simplistic outfit. A modified version of what his citadel attire looks like. Something he's put together after gathering some clothes from one of the systems. It will work well for teaching others to use a blade. And this is how one will find him when they walk into his dojo. Sometimes dancing as he waits, sometimes kneeling, sometimes practicing with one of the wooden swords for himself.
No matter how you find him, he will offer a smile in greeting. Welcome to the dojo...]

Here, however, he found himself gravitating towards it. Curious to see what it looked like. He found some comfort in the familiarity of it.]
Not bad.
[His black and white kimono hangs limp off his missing left arm. He also has a katana he's managed to find on the last planet. It's not a very good in his opinion. At least not compared to his ones back home. It was still better than nothing.] I wonder how good the owner is.
no subject
[He steps forward with a smile, looking up at the man. He doesn't look like a swordsman, this tiny dojo owner, but he is. Kogarasumaru slides his gaze to that sword then back up again to the man's face.]
Might I have your name?
no subject
[Can't let himself get too rusty after all.] My name's Manji. And your name, sensei?
no subject
[He waves a hand to the wooden blades.]
Will you pick a blade to use?
[And while he does that...]
This one is called Kogarasumaru.
Manji sometimes you're a giant moron
[Although this guy looks like a twig and will likely snap just as easily. Probably best not to use a real blade anyway.] This one is fine. [He picks one that is about the standard size of a katana.]
/laughing a lot already
[His choice is one that is clearly still meant to be a katana but smaller. With that chosen, he pads quietly to the center out the room.]
We can begin when you are ready.

Action
She had her eye on a rather big blade that was a bit too big for her.
Come and help her out?]
no subject
I am pleased you came. I apologize for the delay in starting out lessons.
[His eyes stray to the wooden sword she was looking at.]
That one may be too long for you. There is no shame in a smaller blade. I am one myself.
no subject
[Although, now that Mabel got a good look at him? Huh, she was rather surprised to see that she was almost as tall as him! Good to know that she's not that short around here!]
Yeah but it just doesn't scream out superhero material though. I kind of want something that will scream bloody murder into the hearts of my enemies.
[Just saying]
no subject
[He lightly rests a hand over his heart.]
I am known to be very small for the type of sword that I am associated as but that does not mean I have been tossed aside. I was cherished by those who used me and am considered a treasure now by Japan.
no subject
[Now she was interested!]
Then please, do tell me more about how these small swords will help me make my enemies scream bloody murder!
[Mabel...!]
no subject
If it is your desire for those cries then that will be up to you. I can only teach you the skill.
[The thing about being a sword? You're not nearly so bothered by a child saying such things. Especially not after all he's seen over the years.]
A smaller blade would help you to move faster against an attacker which will greatly aid your smaller form.

action
He tipped his head in greeting to the other, politely waiting at the entrance for Kogarasumaru to call him further in as he took in the state of the dojo. ]
Wow, you really didn't hold back when it came to authenticity, huh?
no subject
Should this father have held back instead?
[He lifts a finger to his perfectly painted lips.]
It seemed as if it would be best to do what I know. This is that.
no subject
It's stunning.
[ And he meant it. It was so different from the usual metal halls, just being in the space was a breathe of fresh (recycled) air. Remembering himself, he held up the scabbard of the weapon he had brought, the blade within. ]
Ah, this was the blade I had mentioned the last time we spoke. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for the lessons, but I thought it best to bring it, just in case.
no subject
May I hold it?
no subject
Oh, sure.
[ He leaned forward and placed the blade in those tiny hands. The blade itself was well balanced and obviously well kept despite the fact it had seen use. Clearly not ornamental. ]
I admit I don't know very much about it, or blades in general.
no subject
Sheathing it again, he holds it back out to him.]

He approached the dojo, studying it closely since he had never seen this version of one. Not that he really needed swordsmanship lessons though he would never turn down the chance to practice with someone else. Besides, it was Kogarasumaru's so it is worth coming to look at]
Hello again.
I did not lose this tag. Nope.
Welcome. It is good to see you again.
[He means that too. It's always good to see familiar faces. Particularly ones he hasn't been able to see in a little while. Ulaz looks well too. He's glad.]
Did you come to train or practice?
Nope you did not
It's good to see you as well.
[He means that as well. He was getting used to being around people after so long being isolated either physically or mentally. He could have easily done something similar here, put up the same barriers... but he didn't want to. He wanted to be around the people he'd met here]
Practice I suppose, but there is always the chance to learn something new.
Exactly
[Of course he smiles warmly at him and waves for him to come further inside.]
The practice blades are here. I prefer these to try to avoid damage to my dojo.
[He would hate to bring harm to it so soon, after all.]
You are welcome to pick one your size.
no subject
[Practice blades were understandable. This sort of facility wasn't as durable as the ones the Blades used, but there was something aesthetically pleasing about this as well. He would be happy to pick a practice blade to prevent damaging it.
He stepped up into the dojo area and moved over to where the practice blades were set up, picking up one that was on the longer side because it suited im better with his height]
This is a common style of dojo where you are from?
no subject
There is a beauty to simplicity as well as a balance. These are something valued by the culture I was created by.
[He looks up to him again.]
May I teach you the etiquette of sparring in a dojo?
