[The face of the pretty sword of the fleet comes on and he smiles pleasantly at the camera, bowing his head in a way that makes that wing-like hair sway like the flapping of wings.]

A good day to you all. After a welcome suggestion from one of the captains here, I have established a dojo aboard the Iskaulit. It is open and welcome for all but I do wish to mention that I will be offering lessons in swordsmanship here. Please feel free to come and use the space for your purposes.

[He tilts his head just a little.]

For those who have already asked for lessons, they are ready to begin. I look forward to seeing you.

[Another smile and he ends the transmission.]

Action - Dojo

[He has been rather pleased with his find here and has taken a number of days to make sure that the dojo is properly setup. Now it looks like a dojo one might find in Japan and he's even crafted some pieces of wood into practice blades which hang on the wall. Naturally there are a number of sizes since not everyone will be able to wield the same length of blade.

Today he is in a more simplistic outfit. A modified version of what his citadel attire looks like. Something he's put together after gathering some clothes from one of the systems. It will work well for teaching others to use a blade. And this is how one will find him when they walk into his dojo. Sometimes dancing as he waits, sometimes kneeling, sometimes practicing with one of the wooden swords for himself.

No matter how you find him, he will offer a smile in greeting. Welcome to the dojo...]

[Manji takes a lazy ready stance. Clearly not about to take this all that seriously.] I haven't been in a dojo since I was a kid. Ain't we suppose to bow or something?

That hardly seems your way of doing things.

[He can tell that at a glance. He doesn't mind of course.]

Shall we?

Alright then. Don't hold back. [He doesn't want this to be too one sided.

He rushes in with a fierce yell in an intimidation attempt. This guy may look like a kid and made of glass, but he was still a dojo owner. Probably wouldn't hurt to put a bit of effort into this.]

[There's one thing that Kogarasumaru knows about his combat ability. He's not as powerful as other swords might be due to his size. However, there are advantages to being so small. The biggest one? He's fast.

In almost the blink of an eye, he ducks under the rush to get behind the man with a strike aimed for his legs in the process.

Hold back? Oh no. He's not going to hold back.]

[HOL-FUCK! Manji was expecting someone with his frame to be fast, but not this fast! He whirls, already expecting the attack to come from behind as he tries to bring his sword down to block the attack.

It's not very graceful, more of a stumble, but even as Kogarasumaru's blade strikes his leg he's able to keep upright on his feet as he tries to put a bit of distance between them to recover a bit more.]

[Allowing it, he straightens up and turns back to him, holding his sword with one hand. He knows what kind of injury that would have been if they'd been using real blades. Honestly the reason why he'd said they'd use these wooden ones.]

You recovered rather well.

[But he's not about to let him do so for long. Already he's running forward quickly so he can close the distance again and take advantage of how agile he is to move around the taller man.]

And you're pretty fast. [Manji is at least enough of a gentlemen to praise someone's skills in combat.] I guess I shouldn't expect less from a dojo's master. [Even having taken the first blow Manji was grinning. Now this was going to be fun.

He takes a proper ready stance this time and grips his wooden sword tightly as he waits for Kogarasumaru to make a move. He thinks if he can tell the direction he's coming from that he should be able to block and counter attack.]

[Manji can see that Kogarasumaru is aiming for his legs again. But the sword can also see that the man is reading him now, being more patient and waiting for him.

So he jumps very suddenly to attack from above instead, bringing his sword down towards the man's head.]

[Manji thinks he's got the counter in the bag. Already knowing how he'll follow up the block, but his sword swings and finds empty air.

ABOVE! He's not entirely sure where Kogarasumaru is at this point, but he doesn't stop to think too closely about it. Tucking and rolling forward out of the place he was just standing. He's not even completely done with the roll before he starts to add a spin to turn himself back around. Assuming that Kogarasumaru will have landed where Manji was just standing.

If he is there Manji will strike out with his sword, if he's not then he'll be trying to figure out where the next attack is coming from.]

[The sound of the sword hitting the round is audible for them both. Likely this is where Manji's head would have been a moment ago had he not rolled. Jumping up, he actually taps his foot on the side of the wooden sword that Manji is using to bounce himself behind the man to thrust his sword at his neck instead.

This is remarkably good practice, he's noticing. Perhaps he will have to offer to spar with this man more often in the future so that way he can keep up his own skills. It would be terrible to get rusty while he waits to be returned to his master.]

[Manji is stunned for a moment when Kogarasumaru uses his sword to jump up into the air again. Before Kogarasumaru even lands Manji lets himself drop to the ground. Rolling onto his back at the same time he kicks out and back with one his legs. Hoping to either kick the smaller man or at the very least turn in time to block the attack he knows is coming.]

[Jumping again, he avoids the foot and lands...on his knee. Yep, he perches himself right on his knee like a bird that is just not even a little bit bothered by the circumstances at hand. He's also remarkably light as he balances there and brings his sword downward.]

[Manji isn't able to get all the way back up onto his feet, but he is at least ready to block the blow.

Or, at least, he would have been ready if he had both arms. He's up in time to block, but doesn't have the strength in the one arm to completely stop Kogarasumaru's strike. Perhaps if he wasn't at such an odd angle or had both arms, but it didn't matter.

Kogarasumaru's attack strikes true as Manji lets out a small grunt of pain. It might be wooden swords instead of steel, but it still hurt!

Even so, he still grins after being hit.] Heh, I guess that means you win this round.

[He smiles down at him from where he's still balanced before lightly jumping off. Landing delicately, he holds out his hand to offer to help him to his feet.]

You are a skilled fighter. I would be honored if you would spar with me more in the future. It seems that this lack of one arm is new for you. With more fights you could regain your balance and strength in the other arm.

[That's what he noticed anyway in this fight. Even if his offer is refused he is pleased to still have it extended all the same.]

[Manji shifts the wooden sword under his arm so he can take that offered hand. He jumps up onto his feet easily enough that he probably didn't need the help, but he appreciates the offer regardless.]

It's not the first time, but it is the longest. [As he forgets that's not something most people can say about losing an arm.] I suppose I won't be able to get that arm back anytime soon so it's probably not a bad idea, but I must admit, I'm not the dojo training type. Not my style anymore.

But you're pretty good. This dojo looks like it's going to be in good hands for any other students that might turn up here.

I would hardly call this a typical dojo training.

[He looks amused as he goes to replace his sword on the wall. Since he's currently not using it, he could at least have his hands free.]

You have my thanks though. It is always the desire of a sword to have their ability acknowledged by a strong warrior.

[Manji follows suit and puts his own borrowed weapon back. Did that guy just call himself a sword? No, he must have misheard.]

Yeah, well, I can admit when I've been beat. You're really fast on your feet. I could hardly keep up with 'ya. But next time will be different. [It's said with a grin. Yes, he wouldn't mind sparring again sometime.]

When I was created, I was made small so that my first own could better wield me. Being so small makes me very fast.

[He sure did say he was a sword, Manji. That wasn't a trick of the ear.]

It will be fun to see your own speed in prove as we spare together in times to come.

Wait... did you say created?

[His head tilts like he's mildly confused by the question.]

Yes. Swords are created.

You don't look like any sword I've ever used. [Manji gestures with his hand up and down as if to reference all of Kogarasumaru.]

I am a tsukumogami of a sword. This is the form that my master gave to me. However, I am still a sword.

[Easy to understand. Totally.]

What? Those things are real? [He really shouldn't be so surprised after some of the other people he's met among the fleet.] So-- do you cut people by touching them or somethin'?

The way my master summoned me was in this human form and able to wield my sword form for battle.

[A pause and then he holds up a hand with very long pointed nails. They honestly look more like claws.]

Though I could cut you with these.

I'm not interested in testing those out.

[Although that's still interesting. Manji is sort of wondering how one summons a personified sword.] What sword do you usually use in battle for him?
