[ The camera opens up on... Escha's little white hat on top of her head! But with a quiet, sheepish laugh, she adjusts the angle to her actual face. With a smile, she sits back, and waves at the camera. ]

Hi, everyone! I'm Escha, and, well, I'm still a little new here, so I don't know many of you - but for anyone who doesn't know, I'm an alchemist!

[ Which might be... slightly obvious, considering that in the video shot, you can see that she's surrounded by books, scattered notes (and pens), a few flasks filled with liquids, some jars full of items... Also, specifically, there are a few masks on the table beside her that she bought planetside, and a whole rack full of corked test tubes, with Mist inside. ... Yep, Escha went down there and scooped that Mist into test tubes. ]

And, well, I've been really curious about this mist on the planet! They use it like a fuel source, so I'd love to see if I can use it for some of the same things! And, even if I can't, maybe it has other properties that would be beneficial? I know it makes people... sick... [ Putting it lightly, much?? ] so maybe there's something I can make to help with that? Or! At the very least! Maybe I can improve on these mask designs using some other things we have that maybe the planet doesn't?

[ A pause... and then another sheepish laugh, and an embarrassed (but sincere) smile. ]

I'm sorry for rambling, I just got a little carried away with my enthusiasm. Anyway! If anyone has any ideas, or wants to help me, let me know! Maybe if we work together, we can figure out a whole lot more about this mist and this planet!

I'm just- just be careful. This isn't the first time a world's been poisoned and it's hurt people interacting with it.

[ Nooo she's one step behind! She'll remember, one of these days! ]

It isn't? [ She frowns a little. ] What was the other place like? Was it the same mist stuff? ... What happened?

[monolike]

No- well, I mean, not exactly. Some of the worlds we've been to have been...sick. It wasn't mist exactly- on one planet, it was in the water. And on another, the people were getting sick.

I just think you should be careful.

I see.

Was... anyone able to do things for those planets?

[monolike]

A lot of people tried.

I think- I think maybe some of them helped. I don't think it's pointless to do whatever you can, even if all you can do is ease someone's suffering a little bit.

[appletart]

[ She nods firmly. ]

I agree - I want to do everything I can to try and help. Even if we can't completely fix the problem, there's always a way to make things better and brighter somehow.

But I'll be careful, too. I promise. [ She smiles, determined. ] Like brother used to tell me - I can't help anyone if I get into trouble myself!

[ THAT BEING SAID! ] Hey, um, are you going to try going into the mist too?

[monolike]

[Good, at least she's not thinking of diving headfirst into the stuff.

But he hesitates at her question. The idea of not going in to help people, to try and defeat that monster, to purify...whatever this stuff is...] I-

...I don't know. I may do more harm than good. ...I'll need to talk it over with my friends.

[appletart]

[ She frowns at that - he sounds super serious about it, and that worries her, especially because as far as she's seen, he absolutely wouldn't mean to do harm. Ever. But she doesn't pry, though the concern is clear as day on her face. ]

I see. Well, I was just going to say that if you do go into the mist, you shouldn't go alone either. And that I'll go with you, if you want! I can bring healing items, and hopefully some portable winds to push the mist away.

[monolike]

[Some portable winds...that's a thought.] I won't go alone, I promise. That's what I need to talk to my friends about. [But he's absolutely not about to ask Escha to go with him. Exploring is one thing; possibly subjecting her to hellionization is entirely another.]

[appletart]

[ Oh, good! He has people to go with him! She looks relieved to hear it. ]

Okay! Let me know if you want me to make anything for you to help make things easier. I'll do my best.

[ She'll just shove alchemical items at him instead of going with him, that's totally fair, right ]

[monolike]

Alright. But- but promise me you won't go alone, whatever you do. Okay?

[appletart]

[ She smiles softly. ]

I promise I won't go alone. Besides, I think I'll be more useful studying the stuff in my lab than running around breathing it in, you know? So don't worry about me! I'm here if you need anything.

[monolike]

[Okay, now he feels better.] Thanks. I'll definitely let you know.
