Tried To Catch The Fog, But I Mist
Who: Ulaz and YOU
Broadcast: none at the moment
Action: Planet side, Iskaulit, Blameless
When: July
Bird Watching - Planet Side
[Ulaz had decided to explore this world. This one seemed particularly interesting. Especially after having one where all they cared about was competition... even with some of the stupidest thing. This one... seemed to fall into a different technological bracket entirely which intrigued him.
After not long, he discovered this game that they seemed play here, magnaball. Played using birds as mounts. He wouldn't try to play it himself - he was larger than the mounts these birds were used to so he wouldn't attempt it - but he had decided to watch at least a few of the games, standing near the back of arena where it was played. He had no problem with this vantage point, seeing that he was taller]
To The Mist and Back - Planet Side
[It was inevitable. Ulaz was going to check out the mist. He had his Blade of Marmora suit which was safe for space so it was worth the risk to try it. He did however pay attention to what the locals said the signs and symptoms of being effected by the mist were, taking them deeply to heart before he put on his mask and headed out. Of course alone. What else would he possible think of to do?
A short distance out into the mist and he was still doing well. He made sure to keep track of how far he was and how dense the fog was at that current point. Still it wasn't too dense.
Then he hit a patch of heavy fog and he felt it. Pretty much feeling exactly what he had been told about. He was too far into the mist and his suit could no longer hold it off. As quickly as he could, he turned and ran back for the city, knowing that he had to get out of there since his suit was compromised.
It seemed like it took far longer to get back than it had taken to get out, but finally out of the fog, he immediately took off his mask, leaning against a wall as he breathed heavily, hopping to clear it from his system. That stuff was not good.
And his suit didn't work for that. He'd have to get one of the other ones]
Augment Glitch - Iskaulit and Blameless
[Another thing that he hadn't known about the mist when he had gone in? It could do other weird things. After spending some to recover from his trip into the mist, he had gone to Iskaulit to attempt to do research in the library. Well, that had been the intention. What actually happened was an overwhelming urge to organize everything. Moving books that had been left out back into place, moving items around, even to the point the objects had to have a certain size order on the desk.
Even back on the Blameless, it continued when he felt the same urge to organize the kitchen. This was certainly not what he had been planning when he had started this...]
[Ulaz's augment is acting up thanks to his trip in the mist so now he has a temporary compulsion to organize things. Sorry if its not an organization structure you understand...]

[If there's enough of an effort involved, anyway. What an unusual effect... also concerning, just how varied these issues seemed to be.]
Are you aware if something triggered this malfunction, or did it occur on its own?
no subject
[Could that possibly be the thing that had triggered this? Maaaaaaaaaybe]
no subject
The mist itself contains odd properties. [Fascinating to a space witch, but she much does not like having to deal with circumstances out of her control.]
It does not seem that others have spoke of that sort of side effect occurring, but there are many who have been adversely affected by it. It is likely that it is causing some form of imbalance within you, whether it is from your body's natural response to the mist or your... augment reacting to it.
[The augment itself could be causing a glitch, or trying to relegate another affect... ineffectively.]
You are also Galra, which could be another factor. [She doesn't know how, but - science. Isolating ideas.]

I suppose that could be the case that the mist done something to cause this. Given the fact that they have an entire medical division with the sole purpose of treating this, its not something that can be dismissed.
[Then she had another interesting point...]
Also possible that my race could have something to do with it. As far as we know, a Galra has yet to be exposed to it.
no subject
[Not that she thinks they would really be of much use, but they would at least have more comprehensive knowledge of why the mist was so debilitating in the first place. One would think.]
no subject
[Which was a good indicator there]
I have not checked with them. Perhaps I should to get there opinion on this issue, if it something they have noticed in others.
no subject
[With them unable to really do anything in regard to the augments themselves. Yet.]
no subject
[He's not sure if he really wants to do that, but they had more information than he did]
no subject
[Particularly in strange new territory.]
no subject
[He glances over at a stack of books, resisting the urge to straighten the one that is not in line with the others]
I take it you have an interest what they have to say?
no subject
[So of course she's curious, though she raises an eyebrow.]
Is that an offer to share your findings?
no subject
[What does it really matter to tell her if the medics here thought it was mist related or not. They did have a truce running and it was now a source of curiosity for both of them]
no subject
[Reports are much easier than normal conversation. Probably for both of them.]
no subject
[And he's going to go do that... partially so he doesn't spend more time in here trying to reorganize books]
