Tried To Catch The Fog, But I Mist
Who: Ulaz and YOU
Broadcast: none at the moment
Action: Planet side, Iskaulit, Blameless
When: July
Bird Watching - Planet Side
[Ulaz had decided to explore this world. This one seemed particularly interesting. Especially after having one where all they cared about was competition... even with some of the stupidest thing. This one... seemed to fall into a different technological bracket entirely which intrigued him.
After not long, he discovered this game that they seemed play here, magnaball. Played using birds as mounts. He wouldn't try to play it himself - he was larger than the mounts these birds were used to so he wouldn't attempt it - but he had decided to watch at least a few of the games, standing near the back of arena where it was played. He had no problem with this vantage point, seeing that he was taller]
To The Mist and Back - Planet Side
[It was inevitable. Ulaz was going to check out the mist. He had his Blade of Marmora suit which was safe for space so it was worth the risk to try it. He did however pay attention to what the locals said the signs and symptoms of being effected by the mist were, taking them deeply to heart before he put on his mask and headed out. Of course alone. What else would he possible think of to do?
A short distance out into the mist and he was still doing well. He made sure to keep track of how far he was and how dense the fog was at that current point. Still it wasn't too dense.
Then he hit a patch of heavy fog and he felt it. Pretty much feeling exactly what he had been told about. He was too far into the mist and his suit could no longer hold it off. As quickly as he could, he turned and ran back for the city, knowing that he had to get out of there since his suit was compromised.
It seemed like it took far longer to get back than it had taken to get out, but finally out of the fog, he immediately took off his mask, leaning against a wall as he breathed heavily, hopping to clear it from his system. That stuff was not good.
And his suit didn't work for that. He'd have to get one of the other ones]
Augment Glitch - Iskaulit and Blameless
[Another thing that he hadn't known about the mist when he had gone in? It could do other weird things. After spending some to recover from his trip into the mist, he had gone to Iskaulit to attempt to do research in the library. Well, that had been the intention. What actually happened was an overwhelming urge to organize everything. Moving books that had been left out back into place, moving items around, even to the point the objects had to have a certain size order on the desk.
Even back on the Blameless, it continued when he felt the same urge to organize the kitchen. This was certainly not what he had been planning when he had started this...]
[Ulaz's augment is acting up thanks to his trip in the mist so now he has a temporary compulsion to organize things. Sorry if its not an organization structure you understand...]

Augment glitch
He's just coming into the kitchen to make tea and stops at the door.]
... I was sure I cleaned up this morning.
no subject
Speaking of which, he was currently trying to figure out where something needed to go]
Did you?
no subject
[He takes a few steps inside. Cautiously.]
Why the sudden need for reorganizing?
[After all, Biffy had organized the space, which means it was as organized as it would hope to be... but apparently not.]
no subject
When I got back from exploring the mist, I felt like I needed to do this. I don't know why; it just suddenly came over me.

Ulaz. Organizing his...er...the ship's kitchen! He worked so hard to organize that! To make it look flawless and beautiful for them! Each little detail noted!]
Mr. Ulaz, what on earth are you doing?
no subject
Reorganizing.
no subject
[He slowly lifts a brow at him as he's getting ready to chase him right out of this kitchen.]
no subject
[Yes, please, chase him out of the kitchen. That would probably be amusing for anyone watching this]

Bird Watching
He spotted Ulaz through the crowd and smiled softly, making his way over to the friendly purple giant. ]
Must be nice, having a good seat from just about anywhere.
[ Because you're tall, Ulaz. ]
no subject
He easily spotted as Kirk came over to him and offered a friendly nod and a faint, barely there, smile]
I do. I can't complain about it. It's easier than trying to find seating.
What do you think of this sport?
no subject
[ It reminded Kirk a bit of an anti-grav sport he had played once, though the stakes had been quite a bit higher and made it harder to enjoy at the time. He was pleased to see the barely there smile, moving to stand beside him, though Ulaz still had at least a foot on him. ]
It's fascinating, and very daring. It's the kind of sport that would make super stars back home.
no subject
It is. Any sport that adds the element of falling some distance is and it takes people who both trust their animal and has very little fear of the sport. I don't think I've seen one that involved birds before.

...huh.]
Ulaz? You've been here in the kitchen all along?
no subject
All along? No. I went out to exploring and I have come back. Since then I've felt this urge to organize.
[Maybe Shiro will realize what is going on?]
no subject
To organize not just your lab? Hasn't Biffy been keeping up the kitchen?
no subject
Sandalio took care of the kitchen; normally he wouldn't have touched the kitchen. Today though...]
Has he? Ever since I got back from the mist, I feel like things need to be organized.
[And the kitchen was unfortunately here. He's currently looking around trying to figure out where to put a pot]

Yeah? It looks all right to me, but I can help fix it if you need.

glitch / Iskaulit
So it is that she's tucked off on one of the corner couches with a few books--a dim corner, she was used to low-light reading, when in walks Ulaz, and... well, he doesn't seem to notice her, more focused on the shelves, as far as she can tell, so she simply... observes, with a minor flicker of curiosity. ]
no subject
Today was different though. He seemed more... out of control than she had probably ever seen out of him. Like he was more or less being compelled into his odd ritual of moving stuff around, including lining things up as perfectly as possible. Including making sure a stack of books of perfectly lined up]
no subject
But it's hard not to notice even from the corner of her eye that odd behavior. From what she knew of his habits this seemed unusual; certainly not productive, this library had been organized and reorganized by other people since the time she had arrived here, so what difference did it make, really?
She idly wondered how long he intended to keep at it, or if he even realized he had an audience for his antics. Would he run out of determination to organize first, or would he be compelled to change up the new system he had organized? She lets him keep at it for a while, before idly using some of her magic to levitate a couple of the books in one pile over to another while his back was turned.]

Wh-who are you? Are you part of the fleet?!
[He shouted in what he hoped was a firm voice.]
no subject
Of course he wasn't the only one running out of time. As he was trying to head back towards the boundary of the mist, he came across someone wearing one of the suits from the fleet... and pointing a gun of some sort at him. Now, he probably could have dodged it, but he doubts of those suits were better than his... and he was having problems. So this other person needed to get out too.
And of course he's wearing his mask and can't remove it]
I am a member of the fleet. I am the lab support on Blameless.
no subject
He vaguely remembered a brightly colored shirt and a very tall purple alien wearing it.]
--Ulaz?
[He hesitantly replied. He didn't lower his gun yet, but kept it pointing at him waiting for a confirmation.]
