[ The Blue Fish has unlocked achievement: Ironically, a Pilot! Ironically, considering it's probably still a bit dinged and dented from the recent attack, when they ...didn't have one.

But no matter! The point is mingling, and also painting. This has nothing to do with anyone calling the ship's interior boring, naturally, that is total coincidence. The cats will be helping by walking through spilled paint at every opportunity, rolling around in said spilled paint at also every opportunity, and biting Achilles' tendons.

I find...it doesn't really matter why someone is chosen. People in my world often say it was God who chooses the people who can use Innocence. Or that it was a matter of fate. And maybe that's true, or maybe there's another explanation that's less grand. I don't know really. Nor do I care.

What actually matters, is why you choose to use the keyblade. And what you choose to do now. For even if a power outside yourself gave you that keyblade for whatever reason, you're the only one who can make your own path.

It's funny, she honestly hadn't thought on that too much. What she would choose to do, outside of just generally fighting Xehanort and his would be clones. That could be just from a lack of information, but it was something worth thinking about, when she had the chance. But she knew why she would fight, and perhaps she was due for a reminder of that.]

You're right. I'm not sure what's going to happen next, but I know I'm going to do the best I can. It's funny, because the Keyblade's given me the chance to finally help, even though I had no idea I could use it.

I'm not sure what its criteria is, either, but I think you have a point. It's up to us to make the best of what we're given. Thanks for reminding me of that, Allen.

The Heartless have, yes, but they're not the only threat. There's a war coming, one we can't avoid. A man named Xehanort is trying to... well, I'm not entirely sure of everything that's going on, but he's trying to recreate a war that happened a long time ago that split up the worlds into what they are now. He needs thirteen people of Darkness and seven of Light for it to work. I'm one of the seven of Light, but we don't have enough people yet, and who knows when Xehanort will strike next. We barely averted a disaster just before I got here. We have to try and stop him before it's too late.

[He listens. 13 darknesses...that sound like the Noah, if he's sticking to the analogy. And the seven are the keyblade wielders...?]

[He makes a face]

Your side isn't...planning on gathering only seven for their side, are they?

You know, I'm not sure what the plan is yet. I had just gotten there and was getting briefed when I got pulled here. Same as Riku, so I don't think even he knows.

[It's a good idea, really. Just gather more forces of Light and screw Xehanort's plans.]

Of course, finding the people to fight for our side is a little easier said than done. We don't even have the seven needed.
