That's the most lackluster entrance I've ever had to make. There wasn't a single explosion involved.

[She sounds amused and annoyed at the same time, but her face is just a curious half-smile as she looks around.]

This doesn't remind me of the medical ships or Elysion at all. [A few steps forward and she starts to categorize what she sees.] I wonder what's in all these rooms.

[Sorry, crew mates. Mikumo will probably be going through everything that isn't soldered down.]

Remy and Kurt. I think I will avoid the implosions for now, but it's good to know who to go to for pyrotechnics in the future.

[Mikumo considers giving a fake name but it isn't worth the effort. If this really isn't the Globular System, no one knows her and she's fine with that. Mercat with fish and all that jazz.]

[Well, not if she's going to say it like that! Kitty is pretty interested in powered people though and how that presents itself in other worlds. She especially relates if it makes people the misfits (or the hunted, etc.) of their world.

There's no recognition when Kitty hears the name, but she nods. The great name secrecy has ended. It is a time for peace.] Likewise, Mikumo.

Want something to drink? Coffee's ready, but we also have water, tea, or drinks flavored orange, green, or blue. [Yes, of course, green is a flavor. Blue too.]

[Well, there aren't many people who could put Mikumo's powers to use now besides herself, and she really has no reason to do so. Should that change in the future, only time will tell.]

I'm not a big fan of caffeinated drinks. [She tilts her head to the side, really emphasizing the weight of her hair as if it were nothing.] Do you have milk?

We have powdered dairy substitute. Just add water? [She can't imagine that sounds very good, but space, man.]

Powdered substitute? Is that even palatable?

It's not so bad if you're just baking or cooking it into something else. It's a little gritty if you just drink it though. I've had worse, but I'm also from a post apocalyptic hellscape so take that for what you will.

Oh, well, I suppose that makes sense.

[Not that she cooks.]

But I'm not sure that I approve of not having fresh milk readily available. I suppose I will just have to lodge a complaint with our keepers.

Yes. You should definitely fill out a complaint form and put it in their suggestions box. Kidnappers are always very concerned about our wishes.

[She will attempt to be actually helpful too.] You could probably get milk below. I don't really know their large mammal situation, but they might have something. [In fact, attitude aside she will check for herself next time she's below and in the future. It hadn't really been something on her radar to grab before.]

[Kitty's sarcasm gets a brief smile from Mikumo. She'll still complain, but at least she know has a good idea about what sort of person this ship's captain is.]

I did see that we are docked above a planet, but is it actually inhabited? There appears to be a strange mist all around it.

It is. If you take one of the shuttles down you'll want to head toward a population center as far away from the mist as you can. Get a gas mask to be on the safe side. All the reports I've heard about it have been...weird. [She hasn't explored it herself. She's not that bored.]

How weird? That can be rather subjective, you know.

I walk through walls. I have a decently high bar for weird. It makes you hallucinate your fears. [Could be weirder.]

[That is enough to wipe any sort of amusement off of Mikumo's face.]

[Seeing the expression shift Kitty rebukes herself slightly. She doesn't know Mikumo well at all yet. She could stand to be a little...less herself and more thoughtful.]

Good. But it also seems like more densely populated areas are safe. Staying on the ship too long can be kind of rough too.

I somehow doubt it. It's hard to find attentive audiences in the middle of lush forests.
