♫ Video; Action
Who: Mikumo Guynemer and you
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Twin Roses
When: July 6th, after the shuffle
Action ♫ Twin Roses
[Confetti, pudding cups and some little attempt at music.]
That's the most lackluster entrance I've ever had to make. There wasn't a single explosion involved.
[She sounds amused and annoyed at the same time, but her face is just a curious half-smile as she looks around.]
This doesn't remind me of the medical ships or Elysion at all. [A few steps forward and she starts to categorize what she sees.] I wonder what's in all these rooms.
[Sorry, crew mates. Mikumo will probably be going through everything that isn't soldered down.]
Video ♫ To Everyone
Is everything around here so cramped? It feels like there's no air. No winds. Where do you go to breathe?

....well, that's certainly the most amazing head of hair she's seen. Makie watches with curiosity as Mikumo enters the lounge area, a handful of darts held loosely in one hand.]
A new arrival?
[This "going through everything that isn't soldered down" thing is a common reaction. Sup, I'm a pale lady in a kimono.]
no subject
Mikumo turns at the soft voice and gives a sort of half-smile that makes her look like she's got a juicy secret. Before she starts purusing the eclectic book collection.]
I suppose this sort of thing must be normal if you're not even really bothering to question me.
[She turns around abruptly, one hand poised on her hip and her hair whipping around dangerously.]
Perhaps you can tell me more about this place.
no subject
What would you like to know?
no subject
Mikumo lets her hand drop from her hip as she watches and evaluates the other woman a bit critically before giving an actual smile.]
I want to know about this ship. The hallway is a little narrow, but it seems to have a lot of space in the actual rooms. I've seen through the windows that there are other ships.
Are they easily accessed? Are they filled with others like yourself?
[She'll start small. Sort of.]

Kaname!
[Okay, so, she's delighted to see her friend here and opted to show it.]
I take it that this is nowhere in the Globular system.

It's hard to explain, but it's been about nine months since I was back home, so it's really good to see you again.
[She spares a smile before getting down to business.]
First question: What's the last thing you recall before arriving?
no subject
Nine months? Is there a time distortion?
[It's not entirely impossible, but she's just seen Kaname, so that's the only explanation she can reasonably conceive. Not that it's easy to digest. But then their lives aren't exactly easy either.]
Joining you, Reina and Makina back on Ragna while Freyja flew off with her new boyfriend.

I usually go down to the planets, if they're friendly. Sometimes even if they aren't. It's hard to be worse than living in a metal cage.
no subject
Hm, so there is access to planets. That's less worrying.
[Maybe then she can get some fresh air, a breeze on her face, feel the moonlight on her skin again.]
Being on the ship doesn't bother me, but it is rather smaller than I'm used to.
no subject
Occasionally, yes. Right now the Fleet is docked in a system. Afterwards, we'll go into drift.
[Not everything is trying to kill her yet, so this system is off to a good start.]
If it's the size that bothers you, there's also a bigger central ship in the Fleet. A metal cage is a metal cage, but the Iskaulit is much more tolerable.
no subject
Drift seems like such a pretty word for traveling through space idly. A larger ship is good though. Room to stretch my legs is welcome. But, I suppose that means I will be spending as much time on the planets as possible.
[Mikumo gives the other girl a sharp smile.]
And a little freedom is worth it.

Which is why his trademark red jacket and the body armor her wears underneath are thrown onto the bed as he relaxes for a moment. He still has his jeans on, but that means all the scars on his upper torso are in full view.
He hears the door being open and in a quick moment of panic starts to jump up from the bed he was sitting on.] Wai--! [And that's all he gets out before he bangs his toe on the stand he has next to the bed. He jumps on one foot and grabs his now throbbing toes on the other foot in his hands.] Ow! Ow! Ow!
[Hi. Meet one of your captains.]
no subject
She has a moment to see the scars as he stands before he hurts himself and starts to hop around like a fool. In a way, she's reminded of the mercats of Ragna, doing tricks and entertaining the people for fish. Too bad she's low on fish.]
Is this how you greet people on this ship? With strange dances and darts?
no subject

How quaint.]
Hm, that's never really been a problem before now. I've only been kidnapped once. Well, I suppose this is the second time.
[And she's not talking about that first time.]

That looks like it would hurt. Neck aches for days. [She's seen purple hair before in Marina at least. What was her name? Cordelia? Cornelia? Cor...felia? Something. And her sister with the pink hair had a tremendous amount, but she's pretty sure this is the most "extra" hair she's ever seen.]
no subject
A part of her half-expects to see Arad or Ernest as she walks along.
The other girl's voice is a bit sudden, but she's fine with it cutting into her "practice".]
After a while, you sort of get used to it. Especially with all the singing and dancing and fighting I have to do.
no subject
Strange number of people here who dance and fight. [Thinking of herself and Natasha. She has a lot to learn about idols.]
I'm Kitty. The captain. [Someone doesn't bother including Vash in that.] Did you get confettied here or are you visiting?
no subject
Dancing and fighting can be intertwined. That hardly surprises me. Anyone who can dance usually is fairly agile in battle.
[Besides, it helps to be able to turn on a dime when someone is shooting at you from a fighter jet, okay?]
Ah, I had a very lackluster welcome with a tiny cup of what I can assume was pudding. I was disappointed there was no explosion, honestly.

[She's had the chance to take a look out of the windows of the ship at least. Space is always space: stars, suns, planets, asteroids. Familiar.]
And what is the name of this strange system we're in the middle of? It seems a little lonely.
video;
There's a pretty big starship in the Fleet. There's a lot of room on it. Uh...the Iskaulit.
no subject
So I've heard, but it's not the same as being on a planet. I've been told that we also land on worlds from time to time. So, that's a little comforting.
no subject
[ Not that he's done a lot of thinking on the matter. ]
There's some pretty big places on the big ship, though.
