Hello everyone. I'm Sora. [He pauses for a moment, as he has to shove aside the urge to introduce Goofy and Donald too. They aren't here with him. He's in this by himself for now. At least there are good people here too.]

I just arrived. I was assigned to the Bishop's security team. Which, uh, I don't think they need a ton of help in that area... [I mean, have you seen the person in charge of Bishop's security?]

But I still want to make sure I do my best to help my crew! The, uh, chip in my head [He talks about it like he still isn't sure what it is or what it does or if he should be worried about it] gives me the basics I need, but any pointers you have to share would be awesome.

Any tips to survive out here in general too. Let me hear them!

[Mantis makes a noise of understanding. He'd feel equally vulnerable without his own abilities.]

Well, you have a crew that is more than capable of keeping you alive regardless of what these planets might try and send our way. If you ask politely, you might find someone willing to help you learn to use a new weapon.

Oh! That's a good point! I could try out another sword while I figure out how to get the Keyblade to work again...

[His head does a slight tilt to one side.]

Swords are very old fashioned, but if that's the kind of blade you prefer... I never had to learn to use such methods of self-defense.

What other kinds of weapons do you think I should learn?

A shield? Being a good swordsman is hardly any good if you don't know how to keep off an attack. If you're smart enough to swing a sword, that won't be difficult.

[His face brightens because a shield makes him think of Goofy and that feels reassuring.]

Yeah! I could do that!

[Ugh. So chipper. Mantis narrows his eyes at the saccharine image of Sora's face.]

Iron Bull might be a good person to start with. He's the type to try and meet everyone after a while. How you will actually find a shield is another matter. Most of these planets are fairly advanced beyond the days of knights and samurai.

[Sora really doesn't want to talk about Iron Bull right now, so he focuses on the suggested about weapons.]

Advanced weapons huh? Well, if I'm going to be protecting people, I should really learn them all, shouldn't I?

[He notices, but doesn't think much of it. Bull can be a bit much for the average sort.]

Guns of various sorts, at least. I learned how to handle a few of them after a couple of mishaps involving the ship. I can show you where to find them on the ship.
