[Nami is only briefly on the Bloodsport this morning, on a direct course between her own room and Sam's, hauling most of his leftover belongings into Captain's quarters.  Then she's in the cargo bay, hugging Biri.  No, stupid bird, you can't come with her.  This mist is not for you.

Then she's checking into a hotel planetside and doing her level best to get drunk, before giving thought to some reckless treasure hunting, because why not?

There is no announcement that Sam is no longer here.  She figures it's probably obvious.]

Okay, not everything.

Other than a suit? A small filtration system for a ship. [Small for a filtration system. Kind of large to be carrying around a planet, but.] Also an oxygen tank, and food, and a bottle of... I'm not certain what it's a bottle of, but it is alcohol.

[Yeah, the small filtration system makes her look twice at what he's lugging with him.]

Well, the alcohol is definitely necessary. [Dryly. But she's not kidding.] You, uh. Need a hand carrying that stuff?

I thought that you might understand.

[He pauses and thinks of brushing off the offer, but he is struggling to carry everything.]

If you have a hand to spare, you could take either the alcohol or the oxygen. One is glass and both are flammable, so they would be my least favorite things to drop.

Well, I'll always volunteer to take booze.

[She holds out a hand. Honestly she'll just take whatever's easier to lift off the pile he's struggling with.]

Birthday present from Thor. He warns it might not have anything, but I don't have anything better to do today. Thought I might as well check.

So casual about going on a treasure hunt in mist that allegedly drives people insane. I admire that.

Well, I guess I don't much care about that part today.

But in all seriousness, I'm a first class navigator. I've steered my way into more crazy things.

[He just nods by way of acknowledging that lack of concern because hard same.]

I generally find myself steering my way out of crazy things. It seems that, between us, we have both directions covered.

Then there's nothing to worry about, right? I guess if worse comes to worse, we'll end up sharing quality time on the Marsiva thinking we're both idiots.

[She says it lightly, but Nami has no intention of ever turning back up on that ship at all if she can help it.]

That doesn't sound so bad... not that two remarkably competent navigators such as you and I truly need to worry about the worst happening.

[He almost believes himself.]

Do you have a shuttle? I'm not confident that any of the Tourist's shuttles are up to an adventure like this.

I do, but I doubt it's any better than the Tourist's. I'm trying to see if I can hire something in town.

I have credits that I would contribute to that, although I won't be of much use with the hiring. I'm very good at getting bad deals.

[For the first time today, her small grin is genuine.]

Luckily, I excel at getting incredible deals.

[Seriously, shopkeepers hate seeing her walk in the door.]

You excel at most things, I'm not surprised.
