[ The video starts with Loki out in a verandah, a few tables and chairs scattered around. he's standing, hiding something from view. He pulls out a lace handkerchief, dabbing at his eyes. ]

It seems that there are a few people that have departed lately. And since everyone is very fond of making cryptic sad statements on the network for attention, I thought I would do the same for the passengers that have left us in such . . . [ A pointed dab. ] . . . sorrow.

[ with that, he moves away, taking a seat, revealing a bunch of children with bats and a life sized Dr. Strange figure. They look at Loki eagerly, waiting for the signal and he nods in assent. With a wild cry, they all launch themselves at the statue, beating it up. It even makes realistic sounds of pain. With every tear and visible wound, candy falls out.

Loki conjures a mimosa, leaning back. This is the life. There would be one of Sam Winchester too if . . . Loki had any idea who that was. Alas. ]

"Well n-no, not yet... admittedly."

[While it isnt really a villain's place to say anything hopeful, per say, they did have something else going for them-]

"But they're sorely mistaken if they think they can hold onto control forever."

[The tenacity to never quit.]

[ Loki wonders about that. No, nothing can remain the same forever. But years have passed in this place with little to no change. ]

Perhaps. Unless there are other games at play here.

[fightorflug]

"Well if they don't want the games to change, they should stop switching the players."

[But never mind that analogy.]

"... I do agree there has to be more to it. W-we're not seeing the full picture. M-maybe instead of focusing on Atroma itself we should be analyzing the worlds that support them."

[ Loki nods. ]

I agree. I think that would offer more concrete evidence to the Atroma's goals.

[fightorflug]

"It's easy to just dismiss them as people on our travels and nothing more, b-but these things don't really work like that. There has to be some sort of agreement made with Atroma for them to agree to host us."

[How could Atroma guarentee each location wouldn't aid in their escape? It couldn't be so cut and dry!]

"They're affiliates, if nothing else."

[A pause.]

"I.. y-you're Loki, right? I've seen you-"

[He can't say where, as revealing how Castiel shared the memory containing Loki's attempted attack on the Marsiva with Thor, through a dream, would defeat the whole purpose. Still, anyone making such a bold move is someone Flug wanted to meet.]

"...around."

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki raises an eyebrow at that. ]

Have you now.

[fightorflug]

"Yes."

[Flug affirms, desperately looking for some sign of recognition in the other's eyes. He backpedals with a sigh.]

"I mean, w-we are all on the network so!.."

[dothelokimotion]

Ah.

Did you learn of me through Castiel?

[A myriad of conflicting responses flood the Scientist brain on impulse 'What? Noooo!' 'Casti-who-now?' 'Ha! R-right as if CASTIEL of all people would speak with someone like m--']

"Yes. Castiel, ah, informed me of you."

[Flug chokes out, before he could hesitate further. He almost feels a little foolish now that it was so easy to guess.]

"Is that something you get a lot?"

[ What an odd reaction. But this is an odd creature. ]

"People having heard of you through others?"

[He doesn't really act like any of the super villains Flug is aware of, but this video display is hardly behavior typical of a hero.]

"Notoriety; that sort of thing?"

I am rather well known across realities. So it doesn't particularly surprise me.

"I had wondered.."

[Certain names always did hold a certain power to them.]

"You already knew of other worlds before this, then?

I did too. The company I work for, we sell weapons across dimensions... but I still hadn't heard of Atroma until now."

I knew of their existence to some degree. The theory is rather sound.

[ hmm. ]

You sell weapons across dimensions? How?

[fightorflug]

"Through my own devices or equipment, mostly."

[A feat he has sadly been unable to replicate at this point and time.]

"T-though it helps that my boss could do it himself, given that he isn't human. Never much of a problem for him."

[ Impressive. Very few people had that power. Loki being one of the few who did. ]

Does he have a name, this boss of yours?

[fightorflug]

"Black Hat. Lord Black Hat of Black Hat Organization."

[And Flug still can't quite believe how little that name is recognized around here, compared to the multiverse he knew.]

"At least that's what he goes by. B-being older than most civilizations, I'm sure he has other names."

[dothelokimotion]

[ That is an unusual name. It sounds more human than alien in nature. Was it an Ancient? ]

What is he?

"Black Hat? H-heh who knows!"

[That is the million dollar question, isn't it? Flug can't help the incredulous laugh, if only Loki was aware of how many hours the Scientist devoted to seeking that answer; the absolute madness he endured living along side an impossible creature, that by all accounts should not possibly exist.]

"Malevolent, all powerful, immortal...Y-you can compare him to things but nothing really.. fits Mr. Black Hat just is Mr. Black Hat."

"... He'll find me."

[ huh. ]

[Flug nods, averting his eyes; some of his enthusiasm beginning to wane.]

"If anyone can, he can. It's a wonder he's taken this long."

[dothelokimotion]

[ Or the Atroma are stronger than they look. It's a good thing there aren't any Ancients around. ]

Chances are he hasn't even noticed.

[fightorflug]

[Flug blinks at that. With as crucial as his work was for the business, he couldn't even sleep let alone take months off like this! Loki must mean...]

"You're talking about the time differences; people being pulled from the same reality without noticing a companion left first? I.. had heard about that, but I didn't think we had proof?"

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki cocks an eyebrow. ]

Doesn't your situation serve as proof?

[fightorflug]

[Flug opens his mouth only to close it again, despite hiding his face beneath a shroud of paper it's rather easy to read the man's perplexed expression.]

"I-- the manor isn't really grounded in reality the way other places are. It.. It's not a good basis."

[He had thought he knew the full extent of the multiverse, but if this entire corner hasn't heard of Black Hat, it stood to reason the boss himself might have trouble finding it at first-- but Flug could never admit to such a fault.]

"I'm sure he has his reasons for the.. delay; It's not conclusive enough. Have you encountered people from your Universe? Any evidence?"
