[ The video starts with Loki out in a verandah, a few tables and chairs scattered around. he's standing, hiding something from view. He pulls out a lace handkerchief, dabbing at his eyes. ]

It seems that there are a few people that have departed lately. And since everyone is very fond of making cryptic sad statements on the network for attention, I thought I would do the same for the passengers that have left us in such . . . [ A pointed dab. ] . . . sorrow.

[ with that, he moves away, taking a seat, revealing a bunch of children with bats and a life sized Dr. Strange figure. They look at Loki eagerly, waiting for the signal and he nods in assent. With a wild cry, they all launch themselves at the statue, beating it up. It even makes realistic sounds of pain. With every tear and visible wound, candy falls out.

Loki conjures a mimosa, leaning back. This is the life. There would be one of Sam Winchester too if . . . Loki had any idea who that was. Alas. ]

Ah, so you prefer the passively asking for attention instead?

It's not about what I prefer. It's about not mocking people for how they express their feelings after losing someone.

Losing someone?

I thought they go home. Or are all people so selfish to think a departure is a loss?

Sometimes people have died back home. Or they come from other worlds, and you'll never be able to see them again.

Maybe it's a little selfish to miss someone, but I don't think it's wrong. It's a normal feeling.

[dothelokimotion]

Right or wrong isn't my concern. Nor is the sentiment people express.

[ Even if he's jealous, but what is Loki if not envy incarnate? ]

But losing sight of the reason we are here is not wise either. We're trapped. The people who leave are not. The Fleet's priorities seem a little skewed.

[monolike]

[Sorey's voice loses its annoyed edge, sinking into something a little more thoughtful.] Why wouldn't taking care of your own feelings be a priority?

Why would they be? It's hardly that important.

[ Because that just seems weird. ]

[monolike]

It's very important. [Not gonna get sucked into the argument of why though.] You made this post because of how you feel, didn't you?

If you think there's some deeper meaning at play, there really isn't. Someone I disliked is gone and I'm celebrating.

[monolike]

I'm not saying you secretly miss them or anything, but disliking someone and celebrating that they're gone doesn't seem like rational prioritizing either. Just like grieving isn't practical.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Personally, Loki is wondering why that part of his statement is being dissected and not the fact that he's letting children beat up a life sized human pinata. ]

At least it's more interesting.

That's the part I'm calling rude. [BACK TO ANNOYANCE]

And? I don't care. And I doubt the people who are grieving care of what I say.

[ It's not as though Loki said anything to them after all. ]

Do you only care because you cannot fathom doing otherwise?

["I wasn't mean to their faces," Loki says as he vagueblogs the shit out of the network] I care because I care, and you shouldn't assume people don't care what you have to say.

I think that's more tragic than anything else I've said so far.

[ Also the idea that anyone cares about Loki in any fashion is pretty laughable, try harder. ]

Besides, if you're going to grieve publicly, at least make more of it.

Express it fully. But spare me these lukewarm cries of attention. It gets old quickly.

I made undue judgments about you. I assumed you were making fun of people who grieved at all, but that wasn't it. I talked to you like I knew how you felt and what you wanted, without asking you how you felt or what you wanted first.

That's rude for me.
