Honestly, I don't know. It's just hard. I just spent over a year waiting and hoping Winn would come back or I'd find a way to be with him. And I know he'd understand. He'd probably be jealous and weird with it, but he'd understand. I just really didn't want to let him down or hurt anyone who came after for the crime of not being him. I still don't. It's still hard. Still complicated. But I'm also kind of moving on because...what else do you do?

Honestly it's easier when you break up or someone dies, let's be real.

[She sighs.] It really is. So much easier if you can hate them for a little while. Maybe even have some revenge sex with someone else because of it. [Like a mature adult. Tyki was a mistake, but for awhile he was definitely her favorite mistake.]

And I mean, like you said, Ava knows what she's in for with me.

[She nods.] Also, if she doesn't come here she'll never know because you won't remember anything that happens here. At least that's the going theory. So, even if she comes here and everything goes terribly when you both get home neither of you will remember it.

Okay, now we're speaking my language.

It's good there's an upside to it. [She reaches into one of her bags and pulls out a little bag of nuts to snack on, taking a few before holding it out to Sara in case she wants some. They're a sweet and spicy mix.] I don't love the idea myself.

Hey, these are good.

And is it ideal? Probably not. Do I like the idea of acting with few consequences when my entire life is made up of thinking of the ridiculous number of consequences I cause on a minute-to-minute basis? Yeah, kind of.

Nutritional and fun. [She smiles.]

Yeah, I could see the appeal there. If I get sent home and don't remember everything I die immediately. Granted, if I do remember I probably still die a couple years later. [Unless she can stop what Kurt told her.] Or I get lucky and save the world because I'll remember it still needs saving.

Fair enough. I see the not-appeal of that. What about catching a ride with anyone else? Live it up in an alternate universe?

Mmm...That was the dream with Winn. And Reid before that back in Marina. I don't have a lot of faith in dreams coming true. People don't even get to choose if they come or go and we start thinking about going with them like that's going to work out.

Well, it's been done before, so maybe someone will figure it out here.

Traveling between parallel universes. Cisco and Barry figured it out.

Oh. Yeah, in theory it's possible, but neither of them figured it out from here where they had a thing in their brain stem setting new limits for them. And if Winn had remembered me maybe he could have found a way back too, but...here I am.

I'm just saying it's theoretically possible.

Maybe. But I've been torturing myself with that kind of hope more than anything else, so I'll pass on it.

My family. My sister, actually. Laurel. For the longest time the only thing I wanted was to see her again. Then I realized that it was best if everyone just thought I had died. Part of me still isn't sure that wouldn't have been for the best.

What part are you thinking might have been best? Them still thinking you're dead or actually being dead?

Listen, I like you Kitty. But I don't know if we're there yet.

I can pretty much certainly say it'd be better if she were still alive, though.
