Well, I do love food. [Putting a couple of bags of snack food in the cabinet.] Pets? [She looks over as if expecting one of the slugs or Remy's cats or maybe even Seeker, but she's pretty sure she would have noticed the young direwolf.]

Oh, I think that's fruit.

Well, food is a necessary part of any life form's existence.

[At Kitty's answer, Mikumo's frown grows.]

I've never seen a fruit like that. Did you at least ask the vendor for a sample before you purchased it?

That sounds like a wise and thoughtful thing to have done. I did not do that wise and thoughtful thing. I don't fear fuzzy fruit. Just think of it like a really plush kiwi. Want to try it?

[Mikumo opens her mouth to say something. And then promptly closes it.

What... This woman is the captain, so, maybe, JUST MAYBE, she shouldn't say the first thing that pops into her mind. However, she is curious.]

I've no idea what a kiwi is, but I'll try it if you do too.

[Kitty does look curious about what she just missed out on.]

Sure. I can even go first. Just get Kurt if I turn polka dot or something. [She looks at the fruit thoughtfully, not sure how to proceed. Cutting it does feel kind of wrong, but a nice clean split down the middle is probably the way to go, right?] No kiwis back home? What kind of fruit do you have? [Nothing like knowing the fruit of many worlds.]

[She doesn't want to know that she just almost got a lecture about responsibility from the girl who routinely ditched her guard while on undercover missions. She has no room to do so.]

He's our lab support, yes?
