[The video opens with Ulaz sitting in the kitchen of the Blameless. Beside him, a rather large package that some may realize is the package one received on their birthday. He's already opened it and looked through it]

Clearly even on a day that was picked to be a "birthday" for me a few months ago, the Atroma take this as a fact. I found this box this morning. Some of the things in here would be quite useful. Others... I'm not sure why I have them.

[But still he wants to show others what were in this box. There's a mug and a book that he seemed rather happy about. Also a doctor's lab coat which is CLEARLY too small for Ulaz. There's also a board game which receives a comment of "I don't know what this is supposed to be". And then finally... the mice which he looks incredulously at]

What am I supposed to do with these?

[Ulaz can be found on the kitchen in the Blameless, still with his box of "goodies". After making the announcement, he decided to take a break and make some tea. A good way to spend a birthday.

Now only if there was someone around...]

[In this video, Ulaz is sitting in his lab with Shiro's dog Procyon pacing around nearby. Ulaz reached out a hand to help try to calm the anxious dog]

It seems that the captain of the Blameless has temporarily gone missing. And I am unable to reach others from my world as well. I've heard about it happening, but wasn't sure I'd see it.

In the meantime, as first mate, I'll be in charge of the Blameless. Hopefully this will not last long.

Then I think I shall have to decide on a date. It will be like having one of my children celebrating with me.

[Cue Ulaz being surprised]

One of your children?

[Had he just said what Ulaz thought he said?]

Of course. I have felt that I have come to view you as one of mine since I feel such pride when you show so much interest in learning my culture.

[That surprised expression continues for a moment longer before it changes to a faint smile. Most beings in the Fleet were significantly younger than him and he was aware of that. But there was something oddly... nice hearing what Kogarasumaru had said. He considered him more than just a friend; he considered him family, something he hadn't had in a long time]

Thank you. I have not received a compliment like that... in so long.

[The look that he gives him is one of fondness. He can really see what this means to Ulaz and that fact is touching.]

When I think of a day, I will let you know, my child. Then you will be able to know in advance.

[He would remember it so that he could do something to celebrate with the sword]

That is perhaps as it should be. I believe such a day is meant to be a joyous occasion.

I hope to be able to celebrate more with others from my world. They were the ones to come up with the idea of celebrating a day for me.

Do they plan to throw a party for you? I have heard this is something some do.

I am not aware of one. Of course Shiro was not aware of the party that Keith and Lance planned for him on his birthday.
