Who: Allura & YOU!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: SS Tourist
When: August 10th - 15th
[ broadcast ★ video ★ 08/10 ]
[ The feed opens up on a bed with one new passenger. Except she's asleep and turning on the bed, which really makes bad television. She mumbles something to herself and dozes right back off, at least for a few more minutes. But when she finally does rouse, she stretches and yawns. It should look very ladylike but she might have some drool dried at the corner of her mouth.
Except it becomes very apparent to her right away that this isn't where she should be. Allura flails and jumps from the bed. ]
What--where is this? Where am I!?
[ Has she been...taken captive? But by whom? She rounds the room, casting a suspicious eye to her surroundings. But something catches her eye which brings her closer to the camera... ]
[ action ★ ss tourist bridge ★ 08/12 ]
[ Well, that was sufficiently embarrassing. Allura grits her teeth as she marches out of the room she awoke in. HS Marsiva? To have anyone play host and keep an ever watchful, ever prying gaze is unsettling, to say the least. She also rather doesn't fancy being some sort of captive or wayward traveler. There is much left to accomplish where she should be.
Fists clenched at her sides, she marches onward to find a different deck. When one of the automatic doors slides open, she nearly collides with the person on the other side. She's angry.
And then suddenly no longer on the Marsiva. Enveloped in a pool of light, Allura feels herself move in and out of time in space in the span of a few seconds. What was once a corridor is now the bridge of an entirely different ship--
SS Tourist.
She should be happy about the confetti that comes with her arrival, but really.
Allura is unimpressed. ]
Quiznak, I am already very tired of this!
[ action ★ ss tourist kitchen ★ 08/15 ]
[ The past few days on the SS Tourist ave been enlightening in a number of ways, and frustrating in many others. She tries to keep herself in high spirits and take things one day at a time, but she has yet to make much progress in returning to the Castle.
Food is important, however, but Allura is unfamiliar with much of the cuisine on the ship. She kind of misses her food goo.
She squints as she leans forward to read some of the menu offerings. ]
..."PB Sandwich"? What is that?

..."PB Sandwich"? What is that?

It's one of the strangest situations I've ever been in. There are records here with my name attached, that clearly I've written but have no recollection of ever making.
no subject
That is extremely unnerving...I haven't gone to see what remnants I might have left and I'm not sure if I want to.
[ Still, she manages a somewhat sardonic smile. ]
It seems that we have a lot in common.
no subject
At least the me of the past provided some useful information about our stay here. Not that it makes it any less unsettling.
[If it's worthwhile information, Leia supports looking it up. If it's not... well, that's what friends are for.]
Meeting the others on board is, I'd say, one of the few positives here.
[Which is to say, she agrees.]
no subject
[ If so, very smart, Allura thinks. She should see if she's done the same... ]
I would be interested to hear more about the universe that you came from.
no subject
[It's an effective report, really. She may not like the augment, but she likes even less the results of trying to remove it.]
But as for the galaxy I'm from, it's one where, aside from the kidnapping, interplanetary travel on this scale is relatively common.
no subject
[ Perhaps she could learn from it as well. ]
Oh? Were you a frequent traveller, then?
no subject
You could say that. Between the Senate and attending celebrations thrown by other families of the Elder Houses, on top of traveling for vacation, I've traveled quite a bit in my life.
[Well there was also the rebellion too, but that's something Leia's not yet willing to bring herself to talk about with someone she's just met. It's second nature to keep rebellion information quiet, only shared with those who are already in the know.]
no subject
...This is all extremely helpful. Thank you very much.
[ Though her curiosity is further piqued by a few key words. ]
Oh, are you a politician?
no subject
[Am, was, will be once everything is done if she's even still alive when the fighting ends. It's all the same thing. She still does what's essentially politics work for the Alliance anyway.]
I represented my home planet of Alderaan in the Senate for a time.
no subject
[ She does sound very interested in the topic. ]
no subject
[Well, it was considered the imperial senate before it was dissolved, but it's close enough. Technically it was galaxy-wide, even if it achieved very little.]
Is there something similar in your galaxy?
no subject
no subject
[Because if she can't be back home directly helping her galaxy at the moment, working on plans for once the Empire is gone and helping others with their own galactic improvement is a good second option.]
I've got more than a few ideas for improvement in a galactic congress.

no subject
[Something that seems further away the more she thinks about it, back home. But that's a secondary focus to the far more urgent and immediate threat of the Empire itself.]
But that doesn't mean it's a goal we should abandon.
no subject
Goodness, that sounds like something my father would have said...
no subject
[It's probably even a lecture Leia's received more than once during her youth, so it's been drilled into her work ethic at this point.]
Perhaps it's something constant among fathers, no matter what galaxy they're from.
no subject
You may be right. I know that mine would have found this place to be both troubling and exciting at the same time. Yours as well?
no subject
[Their cultures, how their governments were run, what they thought as individuals. Anything like that, Leia would guess.]
But I think he'd spend just as much time poorly hiding that he misses my mother.
no subject
It is difficult to be without those we care about for any length of time.
no subject
Especially when they're all dead]It is. As easy as it is to tease, I can't say I don't understand his feelings.
