Interesting that more people have been leaving than arriving lately.

Twelfth Cycle winding down, maybe?

[first time using video in the eighteen or so months he's been here. maybe a direct challenge? his 'paycheck' reflects low low ratings, if those are even real, considering he never ever does anything interesting.]

I'm a little shocked to find myself around, honestly. I'm boring. How does Atroma tally up those who leave and those who stay, anyway? I'm pretty sure some ratings high-rollers have ducked out. Randomized for the drama? Seems more like shoddy management than a deliberate choice.

It's almost like there's nobody watching after all.

I'm not sure a place like that exists. Atroma is a washed-up terraforming company, after all; look at the states of these ships. All impressive improvements have been made by passengers. The company likely doesn't have two nickels to rub together.

Probably not. I know I can't think of a show that was still any good at twelve seasons.

That's true...most usually outlive their novelty at around four or five seasons. Anything else is just dragging it out.

Guess their solution to that is the high turnover. Pretty stupid business model.

... I wonder if they even have any control of who stays and who goes after all. Just how much is out of their hands at this point since they're probably broke?

It could be automated, to a degree. Flawed ships in a flawed system. Begs the question of when it fell apart.

When I say 'Twelfth Cycle,' I'm more referring to what our hosts called us. I wasn't here for it but one of the first communications with Atroma that we have recorded on our network refers to this fleet in particular as the Twelfth Cycle.

Hmm. The number twelve holds some significance at home. It can be considered auspicious with regards to the gathering of individuals for something. Maybe we're meant to be a lucky group.

Yeah, twelve does have a lot of theological meaning back home...but does that mean jack to anybody out here in an entirely different galaxy?

Probably not. It also implies that this might have been going on for a lot longer than we're even remotely aware of. We are the twelfth group in some respect, but does this mean twelve new groups one after the other or some kind of repetition of the original cast for this strange show?

Nothing past vague mentions. One world had corporations that just remembered the name of Atroma as a terraforming company.

This is the shittiest reality show I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot considering the crap on television back home.

I'd hope we're not in between seasons. If this is reality TV, that means we'll have to be 'recast' soon.

I dunno about recasts, they'll just bring in more obnoxiously loud people to steal the spotlight. Which - by all means, I don't fuckin' want it. I'm boring.

Maybe they mean to shunt off the rest of the old cast first.

Well, it's been nearly four years now, there's a possibility. e don't really know how long a cycle is supposed to last.

Though honestly, if they're going for a big finale, I'd of expected them to up the stakes a bit more than this, high rollers still around or not.
