So, a certain idol had a birthday on the 17th, but she never really keeps track of it. Sadly, it's left up to the likes of Kaname to make sure that someone knows how old the other members of Walküre are. As such, now that they're in the new system, plans have been made, things done, people invited via word of mouth.

Anyone who wants to wish Mikumo a Happy Birthday should come to the Melting Pot on the Iskaulit at 7pm tonight. Oh yeah.

She laughs at his awkwardness. It's just as cute as it was the first time. No wonder Kaname liked him so much. "Oh, no, I insist."

What if it's poisoned, Prompto? Would you want her to die on her own birthday.

"Well, it's true that getting into trouble can be fun, but someone has to be the responsible one."

There's going to be a problem if Messer is making poisoned birthday cakes. Here, let him cut off a little piece and taste-test it.

She wants to reach out and pinch his cheeks for some reason, but she refrains. However, if Messer is making poisoned cakes, then they should really be checking on the Atroma. And probably stopping them completely.

"What do you mean you used to? Kaname's right there from what I can tell."

He chuckles, carefully setting the bit of cake down after one bite.

"Yeah, I guess she does keep me from doing anything too stupid."

No frothing at the mouth, no shouts of pain, no funny faces of disgust. Okay.

"Well, you know what that means, right? It's time for a trip somewhere as one big, happy family."

"Oh." He's not quite connecting how Kaname being the responsible half of their pair equates to a family trip. But okay. "That sounds fun. I could lend Kaname my camera so she can take some good photos."

Of course he did a good job. It's Messer.

"You would be coming as well, Prompto. You are dating Kaname, after all."

"Oh. I didn't, um, I didn't think that... Oh." He suddenly feels warm and squishy. "Okay. Yeah. That'd be fun. We should plan something soon."

"We should. And Messer should come as well."

Messer is part of this dysfunctional family too.

"Oh! And the blue haired girl that you all hang out with! I'm surprised she's not here, actually. I thought Kaname invited everyone she knew."

"Only makes sense."

He figured Messer would be included, no matter what. Some day, he will figure out how to have a conversation with the guy.

"Mmm? ... Lucina?" He looks around some with a shrug. "Maybe she's just late."

It's good to see that Prompto isn't letting Messer really get to him. It's a point in his favor.

"Is that her name? Pretty. Do you know her well?"

Kaname has reassured him that he has nothing to worry about.

"Not super well. We went on a life-threatening adventure, though. She's cool."

"Ah, the best way to find out if someone is a good person: get into dangerous situations and don't die."

She's only half-kidding, since the job that Walküre does is so dangerous.

"She must be nice if all three of you like her." Might be doubtful if she likes Mikumo, considering she knows that she is an acquired taste for most people.

"The not dying part is that part I like best."

He nods. "She's got my stamp of approval. And if Kaname likes her, that's good enough for me."

"I highly doubt you're the only one, Prompto."

She'd rather not die either, but it's a risk of living.

"Well, Kaname tends to like a great deal of people. However, her judgment is usually sound. I suppose I will have to like her by proxy."
