So. While we all sit here, waiting for whatever fresh bullshit Atroma drops on us next, I thought we might have a little bit of fun, that we haven't done in a while. Lets have ourselves a little game of Never Have I Ever. It'll get you to know one another and let me in on your secrets, because I have to get my kicks somewhere. The idea is, you give a statement, if that statement is true for anyone, they don't take a drink, if it isn't, then they drink.

Basically, the less messed up your life is, the more wasted you're probably going to get.

You can do it over video, or you can come and drink at the bar. If you're underage and believe in rules, you can have slushies. You can have it in blue flavour or blue flavour. I'll even start. [AHEM] Never Have I Ever stolen a car.

Definitely a different type of warfare. On Khoros, one typically does not prepare to wage war unless they believe they can win- but with some difficulty. Choosing an opponent you are overly capable of annihilating without effort is just as pointless as attacking one you are completely incapable of defeating.

There is no real need for deception, just proper mobilization and deployment of the forces available. If a commander wishes to give themselves any sort of advantage, it is far more praiseworthy to simply outmaneuver their opponent than win through trickery.

A battle to me isn't about glory. A battle has a purpose - to defend. We don't wage war where I am from, or go seeking it. We get into battles because we need to defend ourselves from those who would seek to do us harm. I fight to ensure we defend what we need to defend and that as many survive as possible. Praise isn't even a consideration.

That sounds painfully boring. For Tetramands, it is how we gain influence and expand our territory. On Khoros, at least.

The rest of the galaxy is more than willing to stay out of our affairs, and we are content to stay out of theirs. Though I do know several Tetramands strike out as mercenaries as an alternative path to power- typically an unsuccessful one. Personal renown off planet rarely results in any meaningful power or influence on the surface.

[Looma can't help but drift off in thought for a moment here. Because really, try as she might, she really can't think of a time it wasn't the case. And to her knowledge, there isn't a record left in existence that says when everything went straight to open warfare, or what it was like beforehand. It's been a while]

Honestly I do not know how long. But the Tetramand Houses have been divided and at war for at least the last few millennia. Mine has been the most successful, but even we have yet to spread our rule across all of Khoros.
