[Hey, it's everyone's favourite demon. Or...at least a demon that some people have a positive opinion on. Same difference. Queen's Another One Bites The Dust plays in the background as he gives the camera a grin.]

So. While we all sit here, waiting for whatever fresh bullshit Atroma drops on us next, I thought we might have a little bit of fun, that we haven't done in a while. Lets have ourselves a little game of Never Have I Ever. It'll get you to know one another and let me in on your secrets, because I have to get my kicks somewhere. The idea is, you give a statement, if that statement is true for anyone, they don't take a drink, if it isn't, then they drink.

Basically, the less messed up your life is, the more wasted you're probably going to get.

You can do it over video, or you can come and drink at the bar. If you're underage and believe in rules, you can have slushies. You can have it in blue flavour or blue flavour. I'll even start. [AHEM] Never Have I Ever stolen a car.

[He takes a drink from the wine glass that's suddenly appeared in front of him. Was it always there?]

Are you an ancient type, or just a vintage hipster?

[ she smiles back ]

See, everyone keeps trying to make the rivalry a thing. Is it a thing? I think the more the merrier.

Ancient. I've existed before time was really a thing so don't ask me to put an age on that.

In public, yes, it's a thing. But between us, it absolutely isn't. Just part of the fun. Drums up business for us both nicely.

One of those, then. Definitely outside of my area of expertise.

[ she takes a sip ]

Well, lucky for me I never felt the need to pick sides.

One of those indeed. Demon, in fact.

[He casts her a wry smile. ]

That's the kind of thinking I like. Picking sides is just a horribly messy process, and half the time there's almost no difference between the two at all. Perpetual fence-sitting, that's the way to go.

[ her mood shifts. her polite veneer stays but her mouth tightens slightly and her eyes harden, taking him in ]

What kind of demon are we talking about? The bodily-possession, world-conquering variety?

[He catches the change, it's one he's well used to. He doesn't seem perturbed by it at all. ]

I can possess bodies, if I want- but that seems a bit of a pointless endeavour. I like the one I currently have. As for world-conquering? That's a lot of effort for nothing. You think I'd be sitting here, running a bar if I was at all interested in conquering worlds?

[ she relaxes slightly, picks up the easygoing posture again, but her eyes stay sharp ]

A lazy demon. I can dig it.

[He points a fingergun in her direction. ]

Got it in one. I've been around far too long to put much effort in fucking around humanity. Believe it or not I'm on your side

[ she isn't doubting him, per se, she just also isn't sure it's worth the time to hash out ]

Sorry about the skepticism. I just had a whole run-in with the world-conquering kind before I got here, and it was exhausting.

[He gives a shrug, to show no hard feelings.]

It's fine. Your sort of demon are much more normal than...well, me. Honestly, most of the other demons from my world are sociopaths at worst and heartless voids at best. I'm used to it.

But you're not a sociopathic heartless void? Who knew there could be such depth?

[ her tone is playful again ]

[He lets out a heh.]

I know right? Full range of emotions and everything, go me.

There are plenty of humans who are not quite so lucky. It is less fun than you might imagine.

What, not having the full range of emotions? Yeah, from what I've seen that's not a fun time for you guys.

Generally not. I would not recommend it.

[ has she been drinking? she probably needs a refill by this point ]

Did you want to keep playing that game, or is it kind of pointless for you?

Honestly, it's just a more entertaining way of learning more about the people here. Though I can get drunk, if I so choose.

Now that is a power worth having. Being able to get drunk or not drunk at will.

It's served me very well, over the centuries. That and the instant sobering up. No hangovers.

I'd say I'd sell my soul over that but I just got it back. I'll live with the hangovers.

Trust me, you really don't want to sell it anyway. The stock market on souls is awful, you'd get ripped off.

Yeahhhh. I'm not sure it'd be worth much even without inflation.

You'd be surprised how many people I talk to here say that. Or assume they're immediately heading to Hell.

I'm not sure I need to assume things, but when I died it was more of a nothingness.
