[Vash's knew a pattern when he saw one. He set his communicator off to the side to make sure he didn't bump it in his scramble to deal with whatever insane item the Atroma was going to throw at him for his birthday this year. Still close enough to call for help if it was needed, but he was not going to have an accidental broadcast this year!

Which is why when his communicator starts to broadcast on it's own this year there's a clear view of Vash and Kitty already kissing each other in the Twin Roses's cargo bay. The two captains of the ship don't notice at all that their private moment is being broadcasted out to the whole fleet. Vash almost doesn't even notice when a small colorful bouncy ball suddenly falls out of the sky and bounces off of his spiky head.

It's enough to give him a bit of a pause. The second time one falls onto his head he knows it's not just a fluke.] Wha- [Looking up Vash takes just enough time to dorkishly scream and throw himself over Kitty as cascade of bright and colorful bouncy balls suddenly come raining down into the cargo bay.

The best thing about your ~~girlfriend~~ casual partner being a mutant means that Kitty phases the pair safely as the balls start to bounce and ricochet around the room. A banner that reads: HAPPY 136TH BIRTHDAY drifts down among the chaos. Soon after a bouncy ball with the Floot Loop logo smashes into the communicator and it tumbles to the floor. Turning off in the process.

But don't you worry! Vash will be back a bit later on his own looking grumpily into the camera as he shows the colorful mess on the floor of the cargo bay. Kitty and the banner now gone.] Anyone want a free bouncy ball or hundred? Come clean them off my floor and they're yours.

[Why no. He has no clue that all that got broadcast! Want to clue the birthday boy in?]

(OOC: I am back from my sudden hiatus! Vash will be the one mostly answering on this post, but if you really want Kitty to respond please say so! Sorry for suddenly needing to vanish for about a month. I will be getting back to everyone who has tagged Vash and Manji

[Freya is just staring at the screen.]

Yes. I want one or two. How do I get where you are?

I'm on the Twin Roses. In the cargo bay. Come on over and you can have any that you pick up.

Cool. I'm still new at this whole 'getting around thing'.

I can give you our drifting coordinates. One moment. [After a bit of time the SS Twin Roses coordinates will be texted through.]

If you're a pilot your shuttle should be fine to come over on, but if you're not a pilot and worried about flying I could come get you and bring you over.

I am an engineer.

[She points at the screen.]

Who has stubbornly flown once and managed not to crash. [Freya pauses.] I can probably figure it out again though if you don't see me in 30 minutes then I'd very much like you'd to come and find me because I might be lost.

[Vash can't help but to laugh in a good nature sort pf way.] Well, alright then! The auto pilot should help you get here fine, but I promise to come find you if it takes longer than thirty minutes.

[Freya flashes him a pearly white smile before disconnecting the com link. It takes her about 25 minutes to get the little shuttle docked onto his ship and then less than 30 seconds for her to find him. Seeing the ship from the outside made the layout a little obvious though maybe that's just because she's an engineer? Freya isn't sure how she knows it but that's fine.

She's pretty good at accepting things as they are.

As she approaches, Vash will be greeted by a very short and curvy blond with long messy hair and no shoes. It isn't that Freya dislikes shoes but they get in her way more than they help her so unless she's going to a new planet, the shoes are often left behind.]

Hiya.

[A pause.]

What's your name again?

[Vash looks just like his icons. A tall man with blonde hair that sticks up in defiance of gravity. Dressed in a bright red duster, heavy looking boots, and black gloves on his hands.

He smiles brightly as Freya joins him in the cargo bay. He holds out a hand for her to shake.] I'm Vash. Welcome to the Twin Roses - Miss...?

Freya. Just Freya. Don't start putting Miss or whatever or I'll start feeling old.

[She sticks out her tongue at Vash as she takes his hand and then starts to look around him.] So, bouncy balls?

As long as you don't start calling me Mr I think that can be arranged Freya.

[He takes a sweeping motion around the cargo bay. Stray bouncy balls are around the floor, on top of crates, even in some of the plant beds that they keep in the bay, and under anything they could fit under.] Take your pick. Feel free to take as many as you want.

It's not the absolutely worst sponsor gift I've gotten, but I think besides the cat it's been the most active.

I'm going to probably destroy or lose them so I was planing to fill up my pockets.

[Her pants has a lot of small pockets. She'll be pulling bouncy balls out of them for months.]

I don't know about that. I think the point is to be entertaining? Bouncy balls are definitely entertaining. [Freya begins to scoop up some of the balls, glancing up at Vash she as spoke.]

What cat thing?

Go for it. I don't want any of them. [He's already set aside a few. Thinking it might be fun to give a few away to any children he comes across on the next planet, but he certainly didn't need any more.]

A cat-cat. I was gifted a cat on a planet. She might still be around here somewhere. So don't be surprise if you see a black cat dart out of no where while you're collecting. She does that sometimes.

I would be a little surprised.

[Freya speaks as she collects bouncy balls and slips them into her many many pockets.]

Cat's don't usually like me. [Since she smells like a wolf.] In fact, they're usually very scared of me. So I don't think we'll see him while I'm here. [Unless it's a cat with no instinct and the desire to save its human.]

[Or they could be like Vash's cats that gives no fucks. She is comfy in a spot she's found up on a crate and no dog smelling human is going to make her move. She won't be coming out and there aren't any bouncy balls near her, but she is around to be found if Freya really wanted to.]

Then best stay away from my cat. I don't think she likes me very much either and tends to tell me by using her claws.

[Freya will love to meet cats that give no fucks. She feels like she's missed out of the love-hate relationship that comes from having a pet due to the fact that all animals treated her like a predator.]

I am honestly not to worried about it.

I heal fast.

[Once her pockets are filled with bouncy balls. Freya turns towards Vash with a warm smile.] And thanks. This is either going to piss everyone off or be the greatest stupid-est thing I've done all week. [Freya often reaches to new levels of stupid for her antics.]

By the way, give me the 411 about you. I don't really know most people around here. You been here awhile? Work anywhere? Got a girl friend? [A pause.] Or boy friend. Any other pets. How you manage to get your hair up In that ridiculous shape. Astro sign if that's your thing. You know, stuff.

[She'll more or less answer the same questions when he's done, if he wants her too, but she's curious.]

I'm going to guess it will end up being a little bit of both. Or at least that's true for me. My greatest things end up pissing everyone off. [He laughs intending what he said to be a joke.

He holds up his hands in mock surrender at the onslaught of questions.] Whoa! Let me see if I can answer all that.

I've been here for nearly four years. Or the start of this "cycle" as the Atroma calls it. I work in the kitchen at the Space Bar. [Purposely skipping that girl friend question and acting like he just simply "forgot" it.] I just have the one cat, but Remy has three other cats. There's a dire wolf and slug as well. I feel like we get a new animal every couple months. The hair is held up with hair gel. And..... I don't think I have an astro sign?

What is an astro sign?

[She had notice how he skipped over the girlfriend question and hopes that its a topic she can tease him about later. Freya has a weakness for being able to tease people. It's fun and sometimes she's a horrible horrible person.]

Astrology. Some people believe in it. If not, don't worry about it.

[She waves a hand dismissing the question.]

Space Bar sounds cool though. I don't think I've been there yet. Oh. I've meet a dire wolf. I have a thing with wolves.... but they don't always like me. Maybe animals from different worlds are weird. [She's getting off topic.]

You should stop by sometime. We have some good milkshakes as well if beer isn't your thing.

Speaking of your thing. I hardly know you. So what's your astrology sign? What's your favorite colour? What do you think of donuts? Are wolves your favorite animal? [He can do this rapid question thing too.]

I am a Sagittarius. I was born December 8th and I am 26 or 27 years old. I honestly don't remember without counting. [Being in space doesn't really help that either.] My favorite color changes daily. Right now it's purple. I love donuts. And wolves are definitely my favorite animal.

My home town was called Forest Groove which means nothing to anyone but I think that sounds awesome.

I enjoy finger painting when I get sad.

I like the name Forest Groove. Sounds like a pretty nice place to live! [He's a nature loving kind of guy.]

I have to admit, I haven't done any finger painting since I was a kid. Haven't really even thought about it, but I could see why you would want to do that when you're feeling sad. Hard to feel sad when you have a bunch of colours to play with.

I think so too. [Because nature is awesome.]

And yeah. [Freya's smile widens.] Being sad sucks and finger painting is awesome. It's also the best way to express feelings because anyone looking at it would just see smudges but you can see a whole world of emotions.

Do you finger paint a lot? I hope if you do it's partly just for fun.

Not that often but also not just when I'm sad.

I don't know if there is finger painting in space.

[She's never had to think about that before.]

OH! If you can find some finger paint you should try it in zero gravity!
