[Rose doesn't have much experience with being a leader, even if she has experience working with them directly. Experience that has shaped her ideas on how to handle...certain matters.]

Do whatever you want. As long as you don't get us killed, I don't care.

"..Seriously?"

[He quirks a brow. That took a lot less convincing than expected. So much for needing to convey sincerity.]

"On the contrary, keeping us alive will be my top priority! Atroma may control our flight path, but for all intents and purposes this vessel is ours! Hehe, I say we make the most of it. For example:"

[He unrolls one of his many blueprints, this one detailing the floor plans of the ship.]

“The central corridor that runs through Red Fish leaves us more exposed than other vessel layouts, this could be a disadvantage when being pursued by a threat but we could improve security with a few new containment measures, such as extra hydraulic doors to deter oncoming threats that sneak on board.”

[Half of this she doesn't follow, and the other half she agrees with. If nothing else, there's some small amount of comfort in knowing that the pilot is invested in keeping the ship theirs, and making upgrades to their security systems.]

[On the other hand, she doesn't trust him as far as she can throw him.]

So, we upgrade the doors. That's your big idea?

[It's not a bad idea, of course.]

[Was it the laugh? It was the evil laughter, wasn't it? Well good! He works hard being ominous. Especially with so little at his disposal here!]

"Oh not just doors! I have plenty that could improve our might and security!"

[With that he unrolls several more blueprints, each more detailed and varied from the last. Hat-shaped Robots, laser-shooting turrets, an unfinished power glove, an improved brewing system to keep the coffee fresh longer, as well as several detailed schematics analyzing Atroma tech such as the guns located in security and notes about the ship's outer defense systems.]

"Though I figure the mega death turbo flares probably aren't suited to this type of environment."

[Rose shakes her head. Really, what else should she have expected? She should have known she couldn't catch a break.]

I'm not sure what a "mega turbo death flare" is, but it sounds like it'd get us killed just as soon as it would kill anyone else.

[Cough Ultima Weapon cough.]

"Were anyone but me working it, sure!"

[But no one else is an amazing, all inspiring, incredibly smart genius like he is, right Rose? Ri--... Yeah she isn't reacting like a client would at all.]

"These are, of course, preliminary concepts."

[He huffs, rolling a few blueprints back up. No one here appreciates his destructive streak! He misses working for villains.]

"If you have other ideas, I might look into them as well."

[Anybody who says "Were it anybody but me working it" is somebody that should never be operating something called a Turbo Death Laser, of this Rose is sure.]

Stronger weapons. Simpler, stronger weapons.

"Simple I can do."

[It isn't always as enjoyable, but he can't fault someone for putting efficiency over theatrics.]

"Let's put it this way. What sort of threats or problems should we be working to protect ourselves from. This ship has seen combat before?"

[I mean, we do have decorative bloodstains and all.]
