[Action] Second Emblem
Who: Lucina and you
Broadcast: No
Action: SS Heron and the Iskaulit
When: Month of September
The Heron - OTA
[Now that she's been on the ship for a while, she no longer relies on her mask. It doesn't matter anymore. Her ship mates know who she is. Her limited amount of associates know who she is. So does the audience that watches this "entertainment show."
And the fanmail is getting ridiculous. In fact, she's going through a few of them right now in the ship's lounge, trying to figure out what to do with them.]
Why would.... I am not answering questions about my personal life here or back home!
Iskaulit's dojo - Private to Sora and Morgan
[After her conversation with Sora over the devices, Lucina has realized how much she's been neglecting her own training since her arrival. Yes, she's gone out and done more than one job on the planets and systems they've visited. Yes, she's been working with Messer a bit here and there to train one another with other weapons they weren't familiar with. However, it's just not the same.
So, when Sora asked her to possibly train him on how to soften some blows to keep humans alive, she jumped on the option. It had to be better than just sitting around and doing nothing. The dojo is the best place to do this. And, well, why wouldn't she invite Morgan? He's better at making friends than she is and she's sure that they'd get along. Not that Morgan doesn't get along with everyone he's met.
Here she is, waiting patiently for them to arrive to start a training session. Well, as patiently as she can while using one of the bows she got months ago to shoot arrows into a training dummy.]
Iskaulit - OTA
[She's no cook, but the food on the ships isn't exactly what she would call good. As it is, she tries to find as much time as she can with. There are three establishments that serve food and drink, she knows, but she's yet to visit any of them. Her purpose is to rectify that with frequent trips to the Iskaulit for something other than training.
So, expect to see long blue hair everywhere as she explores more fully. She makes many stops at Málum, Space Bar, and The Melting Pot to figure out which atmosphere she likes best. When she's not in those places, she can be found in the library that once belonged to someone capable of using magic if the books are any indication. Or near the unused theater. Or maybe you find her in the dojo, practicing with her sword or bow.]

[He makes his way over there as quickly as he can, although he gets distracted once or twice on the way and arrives a little late as a result. By the time he gets there, Lucina's already filled a dummy with arrows.]
Whoa! You're getting really good. Have you been practicing?
omg so late sorry
When he shows up at the dojo he's all smiles and bouncing with energy.
That doesn't mean he's any good at being on time though, and he runs into the dojo a little bit later than he should be.]
Hi! Sorry I'm late!
Not as late as me!
Well, I had the opportunity to use it during one of the ship runs a system or so ago. I'm still not sure how Noire and Virion do nothing but use bows in battle.
[She's still waiting for another to show up and.... a lot of noise precedes the other boy's entrance.]
It's fine. Sora, yes? I'm Lucina and this is my brother Morgan.
no subject
I can't wait to see what we're doing today.
/crashes in two days late with starbucks.
It all comes down to the use of tactics! Archers aren't very useful if they're alone, but if they're acting in a support role...
[Mid-sentence, he's interrupted as someone crashes through the door. Hello, new best friend.]
Sora, huh? It's nice to meet you, too!
[And he turns back to Lucina.]
You've got something lined up for today, right?
no subject
Well, aside from introducing the two of you, I was hoping that you would be willing to stand in with Sora for a sword fight so that I can assess his skill level easier.
[She goes over to the corner where her coat is resting upon a few wooden practice swords before she hands them out.]
Although, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I should have called Libra over to do some healing just in case.
no subject
Can we use wooden swords? That's what my friends and I used when we were kids.
no subject
[He hasn't had the chance to prep this area for traps yet, so Sora is safe.]
I think wooden swords are our best bet. [Morgan happily takes a sword from the pile.] I figured you'd come prepared.
no subject
[He's had the same sort of training she has by their Uncle Frederick. This is something he should know as easily as breathing.]
And of course I brought wooden swords for practice. Mother would have my hide if she knew I put you up against an unknown person to train with a real weapon before taking stock of their fighting style.
no subject
[Sora seems pretty amused by them interacting and is ready to get started. He goes to grab a sword too, and bounces a bit as he walks, bent up energy shining through.]
no subject
[He recites it easily from memory. He's done the work looking at the books, but he's also had it literally beat into him after more than one training exercise gone awry.]
[Morgan happily takes his sword, and readies his battle stance on the other side of the arena.]
Alright, let's do this!
no subject
Sora, on the other hand, is a complete mystery.]
Go for it, and don't worry. If you're injured, I'll just make sure that you can walk in the morning.
Whenever you're ready.
no subject
[Sora asks thoughtfully as he moves to his own side. His battle pose is low, ready to lash out or guard quickly.]
The Heron
Hey! Wow, people sure want to know about you, huh?
[ She smiles fondly as she takes a seat nearby and sets her books aside. Carol, for her part, has not even acknowledged whether or not she's gotten any fan mail, let alone looked at it. Some things she'd rather not know. ]
no subject
I figured it was pointless if people were surveying me all the time. There were some here who have seen me without it. Besides, unknown elements have seen my face. Why not the rest of you?
[She turns her attention back to the letters and growls.]
Why do they think that I'd bother to answer some of these impertinent questions?
no subject
In an effort to correct this gap--because she doesn't feel comfortable at all not knowing her surroundings like the back of her hand--Leia has decided to explore more on her own, to figure out what's where and who can usually be found in these spots.
It's on one of these trips that she comes across someone she recognizes from the last system, hanging out in front of a room that doesn't appear to get much use at all. If any.]
What did this used to be?
no subject
It's sad.
She looks up to see a familiar face and sighs.]
I believe it was a theater, but I don't know that anyone's used it.
no subject
She looks over the empty room before returning her attention back to Lucina.]
If anyone has, it's been a long time since then. Is theater just not popular on the Fleet?
no subject
[It's something that Lucina would want to see rectified, but she can sort of see why as well.]
I see many of my ship mates reading or watching those video things when on the ship and finding entertainment on the planets when we dock. I guess being used as players against our will has dampened any inspiring thespians.
no subject
[As sad as it is, it makes sense. She's not so fond of the whole unwilling reality show participant aspect of these ships, either.]
But I wonder if there's not a different way we could use the theater. It's really just begging for us to put it to use.
no subject
[She looks over the stage and steps into the room, a hand resting on the back of one of the plush chairs.]
I doubt anyone wants to hire me to act, but I wonder if there are more artistically inclined people that would be willing to indulge us.
[Her face lights up almost comically.]
There is a group of singers here. Perhaps we can start with them?
no subject
There are? I wasn't aware.
[But Lucina's bright optimism about the singers possibly being interested is almost infectious, in a way, so Leia wants to know more.]
Who are they?
no subject
[They don't need to.]
Kaname Buccaneer is the only one I know, but she's recently had two friends from her home show up. They're part of a music group back there and extremely popular. I believe it because I've had the chance to hear Kaname sing herself. She's rather talented.
no subject
She's a friend of yours, then, I take it?
no subject
She is. I met her from a friend of her home world, but she is worth knowing.
no subject
What's she like, if I can ask?
library
The library isn't a busy place, even during drifts, so Felix can make rather infrequent trips to the common ship to straighten and re-shelve anything that has been messed up in his absence. Scooping up a few abandoned tomes, he walks into the stacks and encounters Lucina examining the books]
Do you need help finding anything?
no subject
So, being in a room filled with so many books is a little wonderful. She's not as bad as Laurent or Miriel, but she likes to learn. When she hears a voice, she hastily returns the book in her hand to the shelf, trying not to seem like a small child caught taking sweets from the kitchen before dinner.]
A-ah. N-no! I... I didn't know this belonged to anyone. I was just looking around.
no subject
And you're perfectly free to do so. This may be my library, but if I didn't want anyone looking through it, I wouldn't have put it out in the open on the common ship for just anyone to poke their noses in. My private collection not withstanding.
no subject
I...I suppose so. I wasn't looking for anything particular. I figured it was time to get to know exactly what was on this ship. The ones assigned to us are small and can only hold so much, right?
no subject
True. And at least we're afforded a place to spread out to. The fleet did not always have that much. We've been quick to fill the space. People are liquid that way.
no subject
How long have you been aboard the Fleet? I haven't searched the devices' archives as far back as I'd hoped but I didn't know that this ship wasn't originally part.
