Naturally, this merits a frustrated growl, but no matter. She doesn't need a sword or shield to do some damage if she must to get out of...wherever this place is.]

[She scans the room with a little more scrutiny with a scowl before she notices the communicator and picks it up. Enjoy your new view of the ceiling, network, while she looks the device over in her hands because she doesn't understand why she has some vague sense of familiarity with it without ever having seen it before in her life. It's at least something to take her mind off the fact she has absolutely no idea how she got here in the first place.]

[the response takes a few minutes to show up... since it occurs to him that he doesn't actually know much about it, despite spending the last sixteen years of his life there. he's never really had to think about this before.]

it's an island. politically divided between the north and the republic. some mountains, mostly flat. mild weather.

what kind of monsters live in your world?

There are demons from the Fade. Until recently, they only managed to enter our world through possessions or being summoned by mages. Darkspawn manage to find their way out from underground. Most are only in very small groups, but there have been Blights when they have amassed armies with an archdemon commanding them.

Beyond that, there are various beasts, but not all I would consider monsters.

I only know of vampires. they are monsters, returned from the dead, that drain the blood from the living. I hunt them before they can hurt people

Are there many that hunt vampires?

very few. they don't live long.

A hazard of the prey you seek, I'm assuming?

yes. nearly impossible to hunt, for most.

none here, though. just strange magic and unanswered questions.

But if one were here?

i'd find them. evaluate the threat.

either warn others or take care of it myself. there are a number of people here far more powerful than me who could neutralize them. vampires' strength is first in anonymity, then in numbers. they would not find either easily, here.

And how would you evaluate the threat exactly?

depends. a lot of factors.
