September Blue Fish Mingle
Who: Blue Fish crew, friends, pets, and anyone who wants to come
Broadcast: maybe?
Action: Definitely on the Blue Fish
When: After 9/11 when they're in drift
So, those boxes....turns out if you open them, you get trouble. Isn't that great?! But, the Blue Fish was smart enough to not deal with that.
Not that they're going to get off scott free, since they have friends on other ships. And, well, a lot of them are from Thedas.

Quarters
In the meantime, Alistair's going to get a lot of slobber on his face as Kiter licks him. And of course Kiter's standing over him, all but pinning him, so uh... good luck with that, Al.]
no subject
He wasn't really ready for the tackle and being pinned to the bed, though the licks were expected. He'd used that maneuver once on Riona himself, so it's just par for the course he suspects. And instead of giving the beast a hard time, he sighs happily and pets him with a soft laugh.]
You know, you could start by telling me where your Mistress and that damn leopard are first, Kiter.
no subject
Kiter chuffs a little, tail still wagging as he just sits there a moment and waits. It shouldn't be long now-
Footsteps approach the door, and Riona's voice shortly follows:]
Kiter, what is it?
[There she is. Kiter barks again, leaping off of Alistair, just in time for Riona to open the door. She looks a little frazzled, hair unkempt as it hangs off her face from the half-assed bun she put it in this morning. It's clear she's a bit tired, enough so that it doesn't register immediately what's going on until she's fully inside the room and realizes Alistair is sitting up.
Her eyes widen. The image of his current appearance hits her like a charging ogre. His younger appearance that he'd had these past months - damn well near a year now - took her back to easier days, but it'd always felt a little strange. Disjointed. Like she had one foot in the past and one in the present. But seeing him like this brings it all back: all the years that passed, all they went through, the moment she parted from him in what very likely could be the last time... It steals her breath away, all those memories flooding in and reminding her of just how long it's been since she's seen him like this.
And that's not even getting into the worry that's been brewing in the back of her mind since he fell asleep and aged: what does he remember? Does he know she left? Will she finally be forced to talk about it?
... she's been staring at him in shock for too long, she realizes a little belatedly.]
You're awake.
[She breathes the words out as she hurries over to him.] How are you feeling?
no subject
Even with her messy hair and normal clothes, she's beautiful.
When she comes over to the bed, instead of answering her right away, he pulls her into his arms and holds her, burying his face in the crook of her neck.]
I suppose that I've been gone for a while, but I've missed you, love.
no subject
You've been asleep a few weeks. I've missed you too, dear.
[She punctuates her statement with a kiss to his temple.]
no subject
Besides, he'd only just been back in Denerim before he woke up here.]
A few weeks, hm? I suppose that would be rather distressing. Of course, I've been away from you for months now.
[He pulls back a bit to look at her in the face.]
Did you know that Sten is now the Arishok?
no subject
A few weeks, yes, though clearly it's been much longer for you.
[She meets his gaze, smile soft. When he mentions Sten being Arishok, relief floods her, though it's quickly followed by a pang of sadness. If he's mentioning that, then it means he's returned from, or is about to return from his quest to find Marric. Which means, he knows what happened. It's not the conversation she's been dreading, but it still won't be easy.]
I did. Our friend is moving up in the world of the Qun. He helped you, didn't he? And apparently you two had a go at each other as well.
no subject
[He can see the way her eyes relax when he talks about their former companion and he wonders just what it is that he's still missing. It has to be rather bad if she's so worried about it and he's just not ready to push her on that crap with what happened with finding Maric.]
Yes, he helped. There was an overdue exchange of words and some blows, but he finally came to see reason. I believe it's more notable to mention that I spent months in the company of Isabela once more and she didn't really try to proposition me the entire time. Not fully anyway.
no subject
[Yeah, see how much she's laughing? Maker, she can't wait until she gets her hands around Atroma's scrawny little neck(s).
Yes good, don't question it, Al. Everything is just. Freaking. Fine. Really, it is! (no, no it's not...)]
Inconceivable. You're as handsome as ever. Perhaps she was a mite less willing given your position. Though, she never struck me as the type to be too worried about that...
no subject
[He'll help. Definitely.
Oh, he's going to question it. Just not right now.]
Well, it turns out she'd come up on the wrong side of the Qunari during her time in Kirkwall and wanted to avoid being taken in by the Barasaad. So, she was a little preoccupied during our time together.
Plus, I think Varric was watching her for some reason.
no subject
Well, she's said to have spent a lot of time with Hawke during her stay in Kirkwall, and we all know Hawke's history with the Qunari. And given that Isabela's a pirate, I'm sure she's ticked them off somehow.
[It's not hard to do where the Qunari are concerned.
Riona looks over and notices Kiter sitting there patiently, tongue hanging out happily. In her shock of seeing Alistair awake, she forgot about her poor dog.]
Thank you, Kiter. [She reaches over and scratches his ears.] How about you go find the cat and bring him here? With how much he's been sitting on Alistair, waiting for him to wake up, I'm sure he'll want to come in.
[Kiter barks in affirmative before dashing off and out the door, in hunt for the cat.]

You know, I almost miss the days when I was a little flattered to know that a Fereldan became the Champion of a Marcher city.
[He was so fucking naive when he arrived on the Fleet. Not as much as he had been at the beginning of the Blight at Ostagar, but still a child in comparison to what he knows now. Can they go back to those days before shit all sucked?]
I suppose Doglord has been a right terror while I was indisposed. He didn't seem to mind things too much when I was a Mabari, from what I remember. [He smiles over at her, but he doesn't realize that it's definitely a bit more radiant than should be.] Now that we're alone....
no subject
It was a surprising achievement for certain, though I wonder what Hawke would have to say about it now. I never thought to ask Marian or Wolfe while they were here.
[Given how it all went down, she's not sure if it'd be couched in the most flattering terms.]
I've certainly gotten an education in dealing with cats, but I am absolutely dumping him back on you with no shame or qualms about it. [Friggin' cat.]
[Riona finds herself a little cottonheaded suddenly. He's always had a killer smile, but something about it is just making her feel like a giddy teenager. She huffs out a little laugh as she brushes her nose with his, arms wrapping around his neck.] Yessssssss...?
no subject
I didn't either. [He almost suggests they ask Anders about the circumstances before throwing that out of the window. He's not sure he wants to talk to his wife's friend right now. He's still hurting over the news about Wynne.]
Yes, well, it was a crash course for me at the beginning as well, if you'll remember. But I will gladly take possession of the little terror when he deigns to show up again.
[When she wraps herself around him coyly like that, he's mood improves and his smile returns quickly before kissing her briefly.]
I've missed you. Isabela might be fun company in a pinch, but I much prefer you, you know.
no subject
Yes, but you're the one who adopted him and thus took it on willingly. It certainly surprised me.
[You're a terrible doglord, Alistair.
Ah well, he's a damn good husband so she hardly minds. She returns his kiss in kind. Even though it's been just a month, she really missed this. Missed him.]
I missed you, too. I'm flattered by your comparison. Isabela's hard to beat, as we both know. [While she sometimes misses that boyish, innocent charm of his, she still absolutely loves the more refined, almost roguish charm it's grown into. And right now, it's absolutely irresistible. She leans down and kisses him; it's passionate and just a shade hungry. When she pulls back, her lips hover just above his.] ...are you quite tired or hungry at the moment? [She's asking for Totally Innocent Reasons.]
no subject
I hate to break it to you, dear, but cats adopt their humans, not the other way around. He began stalking me and never left. I just gave up.
[Not that he doesn't like his cat. His cat is an asshole and every group needs an adorable asshole. Isn't that why they kept Shale around?
He can tell just how much she's missed him because of the way she's kissing him and latched onto him. After nearly nine months of mostly happy times interspersed with a healthy diet of sex, over a month apart must have felt like an eternity to her. His months without her has definitely felt like forever. Maker, it's almost like when he first arrived, young and ready for her.
He smiles very pointedly at her totally innocent question and places his hands on her still beautiful ass to pull her forward in his lap.]
I think I'm absolutely starving, my love. Can't you tell?
gonna slap a NSFW on this; these two can't reunite without boning each other apparently
She's gone for much longer stretches without him. A month was paltry in comparison. But all the same, she did miss him. And it was different, being able to see him but not able to wake him up. Fearing that she would wake up and he'd be gone. They did it to Robb and Jeyne. She wouldn't put it past Atroma to do it to her, too.
But today, she lucks out, and instead gets to keep kissing him senseless. As he pulls her in with that damnable smile of his, she grinds down against him. A tease and hint for what's to come.]
Never hurts to ask. So then. [She grins wickedly as she lifts a hand to run her fingers through his hair.] Shall I help you sat that hunger?
Well, they're *married*. Sex is part of the contract, yes?
At that smile, he reaches a hand up to rest around her waist. She'll probably need the bracing later as he slips his other hand into the band of her pants and under her underwear. He's not at all surprised to find out she's already turned on; it helps him slide a few fingers into her body and he thrusts them as far as they'll go.]
I think I still owe you a few hours of shouting my name. I've been without you for too long.
something like that
Well, he's certainly not beating around the bush with this. Riona stutters out a gasp as his fingers slide into her and thrust. It's second nature to swivel her hips to meet it, driving him in deeper.]
A few hours? [There's such confidence behind the words, and given how long she's been without, and he's been without, well... he damn well might manage that.] Are you trying to drive me to a coma? [Not that she sounds the least bit upset with it.]
