Queue me up, I'm the twelve on your table
Who: Starstruck crew and visitors!
Broadcast: Not unless you want to
Action: SS Starstruck
When: Second half of April?
[The Starstruck is kind of in tatters these days, and that's not just the ship we're talking about. The repairs are going slowly and it seems half the crew is ready to kill each other. Or something.
Whether you're a part of the crew, visiting, or here to help with the pile of repairs, step lightly!]

Three is annoying when only one of them really works at any given time.
Right now he's in the remains of the kitchen standing over a large bowl of water. His hands are poised over it, making this motion and that while the water follows his whims. He hasn't quite gotten it floating or making forms yet but this is another way to let himself recuperate: focusing on the very powers his body is assimilating. ]
C'mon... C'mon, you stupid water! Just fucking—follow along! Why is this so hard?
[ Because you don't know kung fu, Aaron. ]
BACKDATED to that after the "ino" post
He's seen the whole crew in passing, of course, but that was different from full on meeting them. And so who was this one again...?]
Is everything alright in here? I've heard quite a lot of yelling.
no subject
Aaron whips around and raises an arm to point, to yell, to do something—but it's the one person on the ship he's hardly seen around and the words catch in his throat along with a host of other things tripping him up from such a small, unexpected happening. That moment of gawking turns into a glare. ]
No, it's not. Get out.
no subject
If everything is not alright, as a crew member, I can't help but feel responsibility. [His hands lower, slowly, when the point has been made.]
I don't believe we've formally met, either. My name is Oren.
no subject
That's not how this crew works, idiot. There's nothing you can do, anyway!
no subject
[He dares a step forward, but it's small, relaxed, and he turns to look down at the floor. He's casual about all of this, really, the yelling not seeming to do much to bother him. He's too interested for that.]
But I can listen. Or provide a distraction, perhaps.
no subject
Do you have any powers? That'd be a distraction.
no subject
Unfortunately, no. [He lies smoothly enough, shrugging.] Though I've had many compliments that made me feel as such.
[It's a joke.]
Are "powers" normal for you?
no subject
[ For all the aggravation, exaggeration and gesticulation... he's not actually far off from the truth here. It's so scarily rare to not have a power where he's from that it's just as strange and frightening to be surrounded by so many people without. ]
no subject
[He pockets his hands, taking another couple of steps forward. He's curious now.]
So does that mean you do, as well?
no subject
Yes, it does. I do. Everyone has a power except all of you freaks!
no subject
[Nevermind that he's hiding something here. He steps closer, interest written across his face like an innocent eagerness.] What sort of ability do you have?
no subject
[ Aaron watches like a hawk and he tilts partways away for the movement. He doesn't like it when other people work the offensive. After everything he's said and done in the hopes of getting other powers, admitting he shapeshifts isn't an option. It often isn't. ]
Teleportation.
no subject
Really? Could I see you try it out? I've never witnessed something like 'powers' before.
no subject
Before you ask, no. I'm not gonna take you places. Get your own damn power if you want to use it.
no subject
It's a delayed five seconds later that he turns, slowly, and claps his hands together once like he's just seen something amazing.
This was something to keep in mind, certainly.]
Magnificent! I have no interest in such selfish things, my friend, but I do wonder-- does it hurt? Better yet, are abilities such as that able to be so easily obtained?
no subject
Back home, if you've got enough cash, you could buy a swap. But that's for people who actually have a power.
no subject
[What a cruel society that would be, and yet just like any other.]
no subject
[ It's simply said. There isn't much more to say. Those without powers are at an extreme disadvantage and they're only somewhat less rare than those with multiple powers. At least they aren't hunted down and stolen away from their families at a young age to be turned into a special agent over it. ]
But what do you expect? It's fucking useless if you don't have a power.
no subject
[What a little shit. But he still smiles, looking calmly down at the ground as Enkythos settles. He's talked him down, for now.]
That's admirable.
no subject
[ It's said condescending, untrusting of such a freely given compliment when he's being a dick. He knows he's being a dick. That doesn't mean he ever regrets it. ]
Best part? It's not that saps like you can't have one, it's that you don't get one. Because.
no subject
[Ah, condescension. He smiles simply at it, taking a few steps closer, even with Aaron up higher than him. He looks casual, like he's idly strolling despite all of the insults.]
That is how the world works. Some are born into greatness, and others... Well, I'm certain you know. [He stops now, arms crossed over his chest.] Despite that, we are crewmates, you understand. I've given my name, so what's yours?
no subject
Aaron. And hey, don't worry, you're among friends here. Buncha powerless people everywhere you look.
no subject
[He's just messing around, making it as clear as possible that he is. It's humor! Good fun!]
no subject
[ Not like even Aaron could make things worse there. ]
