Wonderduck

[Shin-Ah's first experience with confetti has him completely startled. So the first thing he does when there's strange noise and suddenly things flying at him is duck and cover. Which means someone might find him just crouched holding his head while he wonders what is attacking him. He doesn't have his sword so he's not entirely sure how to fight it.

Seriously. He's never seen this stuff before. Please send help. He needs it SO BADLY.]


Iskaulit

[After the scare on the Wonderduck, Shin-Ah can be found wandering the Iskaulit. Really he's familiar with the layout so he's not actually lost. (He can see through walls, guys. He knows where he's going.) However, it probably looks like he's lost. Because Shin-Ah will be walking one way then stop and look around before randomly picking another direction.

Should he go here? What about here?

In truth, he's on his way to the forge that he saw. He's just exploring on his way there so he can know the layout of this place well to know where everything is. It just seems like a good idea right now.]

[If it's junk then why is someone selling it. Wouldn't that be a terrible idea? He thinks so anyway. It's...confusing.]

[Kadaj chuckles at that. This one's weird, and not just because of his mask.]

People throw all their trash here. They probably already do.

[Weird but amusing. Maybe he'll keep him around.]

[If people already know about the trash though... He looks around. If this is all trash then how come people are living in it and selling it?

Maybe this is just normal and this isn't trash to them.

People are still pretty confusing to him.]

I'm Kadaj.

[And there's a childish, almost cherubic way about him now, suddenly, as though someone changed the slide on a projector. He motions around at their surroundings.]

There's a place like this back on Gaia, Edge they called it, but it used to be called something else before. It's broken roads and piles of junk, but humans make houses and shops and things out of it.

[He giggles, shaking his head.]

Like rats.

Rats make homes in holes. In the ground.

[He remembers watching them a lot when he was in the cave. Because it was something to do to pass the time when he was sitting in his empty room all alone. His village hadn't wanted anything to do with him so he'd done that instead.

So he kind of knows a lot about rats these days.]

[He chuckles slightly.]

Maybe the humans should, too. It would be safer.

[twosidedsword]

Mm. But dark. And cold.

[He should know. He lived like that for a long time.]

[jenovite]

So what? [he doesn't really care about the humans that much, Shin-Ah. Sorry.]

It isn't safer. In holes.

[That's all he means. Really.]

[jenovite]

Does it matter?

[He tilts his head to the side, actually curious.]

They're human. They die.

[twosidedsword]

[He tenses some now. Almost protectively of these hypothetical people they're talking about.]

They don't want to die.

[jenovite]

It doesn't matter what they want. It's just what they are.

[twosidedsword]

[His lips draw into a line before...]

It...matters.

[Because maybe they'll all die. But they don't have to die right away or so horribly like he's seen at times. Like he's done before.]

[jenovite]

[He giggles slightly at that.]

No it doesn't. They die, and sometimes it's in pain. Sometimes it's in their sleep, but it comes for them.

[twosidedsword]

[He looks down towards the ground and speaks softly.]

Please stop.

[jenovite]

[He tilts his head to the side curiously. He can tell this one isn't human, at least he has an inkling he isn't.]

Why do you care about them?

[twosidedsword]

I want to protect them.

[He...doesn't really know why. Before Yona he never would have had a reason to. Not with how he was treated for most of his life. If there's ever a person who has a right to hate someone it's him.

But he just...doesn't.]

[jenovite]

That's stupid.

[Kadaj shakes his head, silver hair shifting across his faintly glowing eyes.]

Humans only help themselves, and they ruin things. I bet they'd hate you if they knew you weren't like them.
