[Biffy comes on screen with a smile as he nods his head politely. Behind him one can see his lovely looking hair salon...the Maison de la Lune.]

Good evening. Given the fact that we are now in the season of Autumn, I felt that it was time to offer a special at my salon for all who wish to partake.

[He steps aside to wave at the interior behind him. It really is very lovely. Elegant even in the simplicity of it. Biffy had really gone out of his way to make sure that the interior design is very classy indeed.]

For this month, I wish to offer a special on makeovers. This will include a hair styling, as well as a scalp massage and a facial. For those interested in cosmetics, I am pleased to say that I can provide makeup for this as well.

[He turns back to the screen.]

Maison de la Lune

[Sure enough Biffy is at his shop a lot more this month. (Please don't mind the evenings he isn't. He's probably down on the planet running with his mate.) And whenever he smells someone approach, he is there to greet them with a smell and an impeccable bow. Here in his shop he isn't a Communications Officer, he isn't an Alpha, he isn't a Lord. Here he is just the humble keeper of this salon who is ready to take care of his customer.

So it is with that bow that he will look up, that twinkle in his pretty blue eyes.]

Good evening. May I offer you some tea and you can tell me how I may serve you this evening?

[Aha, there's the smile of someone who likes to gush. Taako sits and politely folds his hands in his lap as he listens - definitely the gushing of someone totally smitten. It's cute, really, but not something Taako can really empathize with. He's never been close enough to anyone to talk like this.]

Well, congratulations on the engagement, my man. If you need someone to do catering once we're on a world that isn't a bunch of trash, you just let me know.

[Because catering a werewolf wedding? Fuck yeah that would be awesome on his resume.]

So~ How did you meet?

I sometimes had to interact with the local werewolf pack when I was still human and he was the Beta for the pack. So I ended up interacting with him a great deal. It wasn't anything special really and honestly I was somewhat attached to someone else at the time.

[As for the catering...]

I would be glad to have someone take care of our catering though. Do you mind if I request some more unique dishes for my mate and myself? Everything else can be whatever you see fit. It's simply that Lyall and I do best with raw meat.

Turned out pretty special in the end though, huh? How'd you go from Werewolf Liaison to head of the pack though? That seems like a story.

[Especially since he just mentioned being human up until then.]

And if it's your special day, I'll of course work with you to create a menu that suits your tastes. Raw meat dishes are...a new one, sure, but I can work with it.

It's a long story and perhaps not one to talk about when we've only just met. However, some decisions had to be made that meant I had to become a werewolf. Recently the pack Alpha had to step down and I took his place.

[Which is the most polite way of saying that he was almost killed and had the choice over becoming a vampire stolen from him to become a werewolf instead and that the pack Alpha started going mad and had to retire to keep that from happening and so Biffy took over the pack and...

Yeah. Not a conversation to be had with someone you just met.

The last of the hair is now dry and curled and Biffy's clever fingers are now working on pinning it back for the time being.]

May I have you lean back please? I'd like to do more for your facial before I finish with your hair so I don't make a mess of the work.

[Mm, sounds like a story indeed, but if Biffy doesn't want to talk details, he isn't one to push. He knows if the roles were reversed? He wouldn't have even said as much as Biffy had. So he simply does as requested and leans back a little.

This has honestly been the nicest day he's had here, minus the ever present fear of having a werewolf right there. But he's befriended bugbears, so why not werewolves? Biffy seems nicer and less inclined to suplex his ass into a cheering crowd at the drop of a hat, too. ]

Then onto pleasanter topics - if the next planet is nicer than this one? What would your ideal ceremony be like? I'm always down to gossip wedding deets.

My ideal with the conditions we have here?

[After all he can't have his ideal wedding. The rest of his pack isn't here. His son isn't here. Akeldama isn't here. There are so many that can't come to the wedding.]

A small but intimate ceremony surrounded by nature. A formal affair to show our elegance but with something of a relaxed atmosphere so that everyone knows this is a celebration.

[He starts gently massaging a scrub onto Taako's face as he talks.]

I would love to see a banquet for all my guests to eat at and perhaps even beautiful lights all around to fill the night air. I feel it would add something of a magical atmosphere to everything. Really it would just be our closest friends from the Fleet there as well as anyone helping us. I would like to be able to have even more details solidified such as cloth and materials but alas we must make do with what we can find instead.

[So outdoor formal? Yeah, that sounds about right for a pair of werewolves. He isn't a wedding planner by any means, but if it's a matter of materials? Well, he could help with that if he was so inclined. He waits until there's a lull in the facial scrub to talk.]

Depending on the type of cloth and given enough time, transmutation can get you what you want easy enough.

How many guests are you planning on?

[He pauses in what he's doing to blink down at him.]

Before I answer...transmutation?

Mmhm - using magic to transform one thing to another. Do they not have magic where you're from?

We do not. My first knowledge of magic has been here so I'm afraid I'm still adjusting to the notion. I ask your forgiveness for that should I ask particularly silly questions due to my current state of ignorance.

[He bows his head politely before continuing.]

Will it always require one item to be turned into another? And does it change completely?

[Weird. They have werewolves but no magic? How did werewolves come about then?]

Well, normally I charge for magic lessons, but seeing how you're giving me a nice treatment, I can give you a discount for your first few questions, I suppose.

There are many schools of magic, but for transmutation? Yes to your questions, but it depends on the spell you use. Some shape the material, some change it from one thing into another, some store power within an object to be used at another time.

[He laughs as he takes a warm and damp cloth to start cleaning the scrub off of his face. Once it's all clean he starts to apply a clay mask.]

I will keep that in mind about you charging. You have my gratitude for the discount though.

That is quite fascinating though. So for what you were speaking of would that mean changing it from one thing to another then?

[He relaxes into the mask and smiles.]

Mmhmm. It's my specialization - transmutation. That and conjuration. It's how my ship has actual food and not that protein junk they provide.

One of the first questions I asked when I arrived here was if there was any meat to be had. I wasn't about to live on that vile concoction they seem to want us to eat.

[He frowns and then shakes his head.]

It's good you can keep your ship away from that.

[Oh, right, yeah that would be - that would be really bad for a werewolf. No meat? Yeah, not a good thing.]

How have you been faring on that front? There a lot of hunting and fishing available on these planets?

Of course. There are those that make sure to go hunting each time we find a planet with that available. And my captain is always good about keeping that well stocked for Lyall and myself.

[Finishing with the mask, he snaps open a fan and gently starts to dry the mask with it. Just so the elf won't have to sit there for positively ages for this to be finished.]

Thank goodness for good patrons, huh?

[Means he'll be able to at least do some fishing somewhere. Hunting he might leave to others though and just pay them for the meat. That would certainly lighten the load on his magic consumption day by day. It isn't that it's hard to do so much transmutation, but it does take it out of him.

Taako hums thoughtfully at that and then relaxes into the mask.]

What ship are you on?

The Blameless. I've been there for a number of months now.

[Months, huh...? So still one of the newer additions to the Fleet. Four years and two years seem to be among the longest running of the captives.]

Any tips for a newly kidnapped soul to survive this place?

Make yourself comfortable. And be ready for glitches. There's little to be done about them aside for waiting for them to end.

Mm yeah that "glitches" thing? What are those exactly? I've been hearing rumors but they seem to be all over the place.

It appears the augments we have are not without flaw. At times they have the potential to do things called glitches. At these times odd things can take place when it comes to your body. For example I have found myself trapped in wolf form and unable to change back. A friend of mine once found himself with a fish tail for a time. I have also seen bodies and minds reverted to the time of childhood as well.

[Well, that explains Loki. So these augments could change their body and mind that completely, huh? That's a bit freaky ]

And on the running theme of "this place sucks donkey balls," I'm guessing there's no way to prevent the glitches from happening, right?

Not to my knowledge. There appears to be no way to prepare for them either.

Faaaaantastic.

[Taako sighs and he can feel the mask setting. It's a little disappointing that no one here has figured out the glitches yet, considering how long they've all been here.]

So just to get it all straight: I could just turn into a kid at any moment without rhyme or reason?
