Option 1: Scrapheap
[Ulaz could be found a lot of the time at the piles of junk on this planet. With so many projects to work on and a big one being Shiro's arm so that he didn't have that problem anymore, he needed a lot of supplies. Luckily he was a big guy and not likely prone to people trying to take things from him.

It seemed to be a worth while endeavor at least. He was finding a lot of things that he could use]

Option 2: Blameless
[Some of Ulaz's supplies from scavenging were squirreled away in his room because he didn't want to leave them out. Some, however, had been temporarily moved to the lounge space on the Blameless whenever he found himself with a moment.

From previous discussions with Death over on the Caprine, he had decided to try his hand at building something for Loyalty, Justice's cat. He had taken some time during the drift to read up on the tiny felines - especially since one kept coming in trying to chew on things in his lab - and he was prepared to try a solution that might keep her mildly distracted.

So he was currently seated on the floor of the lounge trying to put together pieces to make something of a "cat tree". There were also length of rope next to him and what must have been once some carpeting, but he wasn't ready for those yet.

Help him? Hinder him? Keep him company while he works? Your call!]

Option 3: Junker Racing
[He had mentioned it to only a few people since he had been here, but Ulaz had, in his youth, been quite a daredevil. Most however, didn't really know that.

But in the course of his investigations of the planet, he found the junker racing. Ah... youth. But he couldn't seem to tear himself away from watching it...]

Closed to Lyall: Arena
[He couldn't quite be sure how of their frequent conversations circled around to it, but it had. Probably the arena had come up somewhere along the line and it had sparked the conversation. Seemed the most likely.

Ulaz had been curious for sometime about the actual physical capabilities of a werewolf, but wasn't sure if it was polite to ask a gentleman when they tried to maintain a certain air eighty-night percent of the time.

Lyall was apparently frustrated after his glitch, as beat up as he had been. Understandable.

So it had been decided they were going to face off in the arena. It was not the venue Ulaz would have thought Lyall would pick, but who was he to complain. It had intrigued him too much to worry about it for too long.

Here they were, in the arena. Ulaz could have worn his full armor, but he had decided to keep it more fair, only the suit he worry under it. It was the most superficial of protection. But it wasn't a slight against what he thought Lyall could do; the tradition of palen bol meant Galra were notorious gluttons for pain, seeing it as an opportunity for growth. He did however have one of his swords. He didn't intend to use it, but if found he did, he'd have it]

Whenever you are ready.

[Of course, Keith would find the races. He was intrigued at this idea of building a racer and then racing it, and it made him a little wistful for having Hunk around. Hunk would have been an amazing mechanic to help get one of these things together and racing.

Of course, that didn't mean Keith couldn't still find a crew and go racing, right? Right.

So, he was exploring the area, checking out the racers and the crews, and- okay. Sure. He might have just gotten himself enrolled in a race. In fact, he name was on that roster Ulaz happened to be looking over. And there was still time to sign up with something if Ulaz was interested. Huh... what do you know?]

[Of course Ulaz is not going to not notice Keith wandering around the race cars and crews. He also couldn't help noticing that Keith's name was present on the list of participants in the races. He is not surprised in the least by this. Keith seemed the type. Maybe they were too similar....

Ulaz stepped away from the sign, walking over to the paladin]

I see you are going to be racing.

[Keith looked up at Ulaz when he heard the other speak. He nodded.]

Yeah. [He shrugged.] It's something I'm good at, I enjoy, and, here in the Fleet, it brings in the credits, so might as well.

You ever race?

I have. It has been a long time ago.

[He sounds almost... nostalgic at the thought if Ulaz had ever sounded nostalgic before]

I was good at it though Kolivan would argue otherwise.

Oh, yeah?

[Keith smirked a little.]

Feeling up to giving it another try?

[Ulaz looked down at Keith for a long moment like he was actually thinking about it then he said]

I'm up for it if you are.

[tempredmental]

[Keith looked surprised.]

Really?

[And then... smirk.]

Alright. You're on.

[scalpelofmarmora]

[Surprised? Why surprised? This was another Blade of Marmora member after all. Maybe because they didn't know he used to be outwardly more reckless when younger]

Good. Now or later?

[Yes! He was surprised! Ulaz seemed so serious!]

Well... the race I'm in is schedule for about half an hour from now. We could find you a crew and a racer to get you signed up with by then, I'm sure, if you want to do that one. Or I can sign up for another one that's later in the day.

Good, we can see if we can find those so I can sign up for the one you are in.

[Nope, not going to waste anytime in it]

[Keith smirked.]

Awesome.

[He nodded for Ulaz to follow him, and then headed over to where they could get him signed up and paired with a crew.]

[Ulaz follows Keith over to the board, looking it over before signing up]

Have you done any of these races yet or is this the first?

[tempredmental]

The first. I mean, I've raced in a few other places since arriving in the Fleet, but yeah. It's a first for me here on this planet. I've been watching, though. [He'd actually watched a few races at each major section of track, keeping track of the lines the racers were using through the corners and along various stretches.] It's gonna be a challenge, for sure, but I think I can handle it.

[Ulaz nodded, glancing the vehicles that were lined up for the race. While only one would be the one he was driving, the rest were competition]

Did you watch any previous races? How does the course look?

[tempredmental]

Yeah, a few. [Which was kind of an understatement. He wanted to get an idea of what the track was before jumping in.] It looks pretty challenging, but I think I can handle it well enough. [Keith smirked a little.] Should be fun.

[scalpelofmarmora]

[Ulaz nodded at the assessment of the track. Despite being told that it was going to challenging, he seemed unphased in the least]

Then it will be a good test of skills. We'll have to see how I do after so long.

I suppose I should go find my crew so I can start looking over the vehicle I'll be driving.

[Keith actually seemed excited, which was rare for him. He headed off to meet up with his own crew to start preparations.

They had a bit of time, but they were soon setting up at the starting line to get ready. Keith still had a racing suit from shortly after he arrived in the Fleet. He'd gotten one while doing some ATV racing in one of the first systems he'd been at. It was a bit tight in the upper arms and shoulders now, as well as across his chest, making him put some effort into getting his full range of motion in his arms, but it would do in a pinch. He could move enough to steer.]

[Ulaz didn't have a racing suit, but his Blade suit would work in a pinch for it. Not like he had too many options. The hardest part for him was the size of the craft. Luckily it was a bit on the larger side so even though it was tight, it wasn't impossible.

He was definitely interested in seeing how much he remembered from this. And of course he was going to try and beat Keith]

[Keith would be easy to find. His racing suit was actually fairly close in design and color to his Paladin armor. He settled in, making some quick final adjustments on the controls as he waited for the count down.

Then... beep... beep... beep... boooooop! They were off!

Keith shot off the starting line at full throttle, trying to get an early lead.]

[It at least made Keith easy to spot among the other racers. So he made note of the details so that he would be able to spot Keith's racer. He did have to make adjustments in the car.

As soon as the race started, Ulaz put his foot down on the gas, getting the racer going as quickly as possibly. He's determined to not be last and to give Keith a run for his money]

[Keith shifted quickly, shooting off from the line. He was the type that liked to get an early lead and hold it. He hated being behind someone else. This particular track was dusty, too, so it helped his visibility to get up front fast instead of riding in someone else's dust.

He dodged and swerved through the field, keeping an eye out for Ulaz specifically as he did.]

[Ulaz figures out quickly the fact this track is very dry, reducing visibility for anyone behind someone. So first goal was to get in front of as many people as possible to obstruct their view and slow them down.

If Keith is keeping any eye on Ulaz, he will definitely notice Ulaz is doing the same thing, weaving in between people to get around as much as possible. For someone who hasn't raced for a while, he doesn't seem to have forgotten]

[Good. Keith was kind of excited that they had the same goal. If they both made it to the front of the field, then they could really bring this race down to just the two of them. Keith smirked, pushing his little racer just that much harder through the traffic. As newbies to the racing scene on this planet, they had both started in the back of the pack, which gave them a good challenge to start with as well. They were also moving up the ranks pretty quickly between them, so it wouldn't be long before one of them burst out in front.]

[Ulaz was aiming for that front spot of course because he could both possibly prevent others from catching up, but then he'd have a lead over Keith as well. The lead over Keith was going to be harder to come by, but he was rather quickly zipping around the other racers who also may not have been used to racing or might have cautious on the course. Ulaz was only being just cautious enough]

[Caution? What's that?

No, seriously. Keith was also being just cautious enough. Seeing the track from above and driving it were two different things entirely. But he remembered what he'd seen other racers doing, too, and was surprisingly good at managing to imitate it, even in heavy starting line traffic. They had a second lap, at least, so it was still anyone's race at this point.

At about a quarter of the way around the first lap, Keith broke free of the pack, zipping out in front of them.]
