Where Trash World Rules Are Concerned
Who: Ulaz and YOU!
Broadcast: N/A
Action: various
When: Anytime while in system
Option 1: Scrapheap
[Ulaz could be found a lot of the time at the piles of junk on this planet. With so many projects to work on and a big one being Shiro's arm so that he didn't have that problem anymore, he needed a lot of supplies. Luckily he was a big guy and not likely prone to people trying to take things from him.
It seemed to be a worth while endeavor at least. He was finding a lot of things that he could use]
Option 2: Blameless
[Some of Ulaz's supplies from scavenging were squirreled away in his room because he didn't want to leave them out. Some, however, had been temporarily moved to the lounge space on the Blameless whenever he found himself with a moment.
From previous discussions with Death over on the Caprine, he had decided to try his hand at building something for Loyalty, Justice's cat. He had taken some time during the drift to read up on the tiny felines - especially since one kept coming in trying to chew on things in his lab - and he was prepared to try a solution that might keep her mildly distracted.
So he was currently seated on the floor of the lounge trying to put together pieces to make something of a "cat tree". There were also length of rope next to him and what must have been once some carpeting, but he wasn't ready for those yet.
Help him? Hinder him? Keep him company while he works? Your call!]
Option 3: Junker Racing
[He had mentioned it to only a few people since he had been here, but Ulaz had, in his youth, been quite a daredevil. Most however, didn't really know that.
But in the course of his investigations of the planet, he found the junker racing. Ah... youth. But he couldn't seem to tear himself away from watching it...]
Closed to Lyall: Arena
[He couldn't quite be sure how of their frequent conversations circled around to it, but it had. Probably the arena had come up somewhere along the line and it had sparked the conversation. Seemed the most likely.
Ulaz had been curious for sometime about the actual physical capabilities of a werewolf, but wasn't sure if it was polite to ask a gentleman when they tried to maintain a certain air eighty-night percent of the time.
Lyall was apparently frustrated after his glitch, as beat up as he had been. Understandable.
So it had been decided they were going to face off in the arena. It was not the venue Ulaz would have thought Lyall would pick, but who was he to complain. It had intrigued him too much to worry about it for too long.
Here they were, in the arena. Ulaz could have worn his full armor, but he had decided to keep it more fair, only the suit he worry under it. It was the most superficial of protection. But it wasn't a slight against what he thought Lyall could do; the tradition of palen bol meant Galra were notorious gluttons for pain, seeing it as an opportunity for growth. He did however have one of his swords. He didn't intend to use it, but if found he did, he'd have it]
Whenever you are ready.
[Lyall would have the first move]

Justice, on the other hand, gives a thoughtful frown, though it's soft around the edges. It's kind of Ulaz to go through the trouble to make something nice for Loyalty, and it hasn't escaped Justice's notice how nice Ulaz is to Loyalty despite her frequent attempts to destroy his machines.] A cat tree. What is this cat tree?
[He sits down across from Ulaz, examining the materials on the ground curiously.]
no subject
It's a structure with different height platforms that a cat can jump to and sit watching everything. Some books suggested covering those with carpeting not only for comfort, but for scratching and wrapping the main body of the structure in rope for the same reason.
If a more basic one keeps her attention fairly well, more elaborate ones can be made and put in different parts of the ship.
[Since she wanted to roam and chew on things, the more things to distract her, the better]
no subject
[Justice nods along with the explanation, staring at the tools and materials with a frown.]
I believe that she would enjoy entertainment such as this. Perhaps it will distract her from her worse habits.
[Justice looks up at Ulaz, who is now covered in sprawling cat.] How can I help?
no subject
[Funny how Ulaz needs a distraction in order to the build the thing that will distract the cat...]
Either a hand with this or a hand with the cat. I can do some of it one handed, but not all of it.
no subject
[Justice picks up a screwdriver, his augment telling him that this somehow will be necessary.]
What part are we working on?
no subject
[So Ulaz will relinquish his tools to Justice and pet the cat]
I was working on attaching these pieces- [He indicated some flat wood pieces] to the main body of the piece. Those will platforms she can sit on to watch what is going on around her and will get her up off the floor away from the cleaning bots and Procyon.
[Granted Procyon was a big dog, but they should be able to teach him that the tree was the cat's so he wouldn't bother it or her when she was in it]
no subject
[Justice gets to work on attaching the pieces to the body. It's probably a good thing for them to get her away from the cleaning robots, because it's only a matter of time before she realizes that they don't actually hurt her and she can ride them causing destruction in her wake.]
If she is not within their reach, she is less likely to realize that she can use the cleaning robots.
no subject
Or decide they are something she can attack and damage. While the bot may not intentionally hurt her, that is still always a possibility. Or she may start trying to chew on them.
[Give her history... it is possible.
Still petting a cat here]
no subject
[If Loyalty is aware she's being talked about, she doesn't show it. She stretches out on Ulaz's lap, purring loudly as he strokes her and stretching her legs in front of her, showing off her claws and kneading the air as she enjoys herself.]
no subject
[Ulaz can't help but smile faintly at how happy this cat is with only someone petting her. He can definitely see the claws and how she is kneading the air, glad that she wasn't doing that to his clothes. Biffy would be distressed by that]
no subject
[Loyalty is a happy and easily pleased snow leopard kitten. But wait! There are two people here, and only one is petting her. How could she allow this to happen? She starts kneading her claws in Justice's direction, mewling to get his attention, but he's more concerned with putting together this cat tree.]
no subject
[Ulaz can't help a faint chuckle at the cat, watching her as she tried to get Justice's attention]
He's busy, little one.
[He picked up a small length of rope he had been using as part of his measuring guide, waving it in front of her. Let's see if she'd play with it. Since they were going to use it to wrap the tree, she should see it as something she could play with]
