[Thor hates this planet, honestly. It's like a worse version of Sakaar, somehow, and he wasn't fond of that place to start with. The only upside Thor can see to Baruut so far is that he wasn't immediately captured and enslaved in a fighting arena.

Kind of a back-handed compliment.

But after his stint on the Marsiva and then spending a week looking after a shockingly young Loki, Thor's ready to put that baggage in the backseat and go look around anyway. He has a couple of items he's on the lookout for. It becomes quickly apparent though that finding a decent item is the harder task. The low quality of most wares annoys him and it's not uncommon to find him standing in front of a stall keeper, shaking an item at them and being loudly indignant.]

Yes, I know that it has clear sight, but if it only sees in green then what's the point of it as an eye?

[Is that an eyeball in his hand? .........yep. Unfortunate.]

b. watch for falling debris

[You're out in the junkyards proper, minding your own business. Doing whatever it is you decided to venture into canyons of rubbish to do. A distant yelp and a thud rings out somewhere above you - and you barely have time to look up before a body comes smashing down into the junk a few metres away, sending scrap metal and plastic spraying everywhere.

The 'body' turns out to be a very alarmed, very dazed junkyard thief. They scramble to their feet and run away shrieking, not looking back at you or in the direction they fell from. Should you decide to look up though, you'll see Thor pop up over the top of a hill-sized pile of rubbish a fair distance away. He waves to you and calls out:]

You should be mindful where you step! There are thieves about.

Not for a while. I did with Jane, once or twice.

[To his credit, he manages not to feel too morose about it. Thor lifts his hand into the air and holds it there, waiting.]

And I've carried other people during battle.

[Natasha takes his hand like it's a challenge.]

[He grins then, eager to see what she makes of it. With Natasha gripping his offered hand, Thor turns his thoughts to raising the other and calling for the hammer.]

Doubting me already? I can't let that go unchallenged.

[They don't have to wait long - within a few seconds there's a ringing sound approaching at speed. Before there's much time to think of what that could be, the hammer's handle is smacking into his open palm.

Natasha would have seen it before. On the fields of Wakanda.]

All right, you'd best hold on with both hands.

[Natasha gives the hammer a quick, uncertain look. She does recognize it. And it's not a great memory.

The hesitation is a fraction of a second, though. No backing off now; she reaches for him and holds on tight.]

Let's get this trip moving.

[Thor chalks that moment up to nothing more than unfamiliarity. He'd told her about getting a different hammer, after all, but neglected to describe it much. Instead he focuses on the task at hand. He grips her hand tightly before raising the hammer up--

--and they're off like a shot, arrowing straight up into the air a few dozen feet within seconds.]

[Well! Not much to do now but hold on tight and trust Thor to know what he's doing and where he's going.]

[Thankfully for Natasha, the canyons aren't so far off. It's still a decent ten minute trip, whipping through the air at great speed. Stormbreaker isn't nearly so rocky to fly with as Mjolnir was; there's no need to throw the thing and get pulled along in its wake. As soon as the yellow-orange canyons appear below them, Thor's changing trajectory downwards.

They come to the same kind of running halt that paragliders have, Thor slowing their speed and righting them to land feet-first on the rocky ground. He makes sure Natasha's not going to fall over before he unwraps his arm from around her.]

How was that?

[She gets her feet, finding her balance almost immediately. She's good like that.

Thor's a good friend though, making sure she's got her footing before he lets her go.]

[He laughs, setting the hammer's head on the ground and leaning on the handle.]
