[One afternoon Manji opens up his communicator.] Kogarasumaru! [He speaks with confidence that he probably shouldn't have.] You remember our fight, right? Well, I'm ready if you are. Shall I meet you at your dojo or somewhere on this junk of a planet? [Thanks to this thread Manji has a fight to pick. He could just call Kogarasumaru out privately, but he hasn't figured out how to do that just yet.]

[You know what else Manji can do that's really dumb? Try driving a car in a junker race with one arm. How hard can driving a car be when the most advance transportation you've ever driven was a horse?

And-- opps, yup. He's just crashed. In a spectacular fashion. Good thing he's immortal? Still, he may need a hand out of that wreckage.]

I never said it would be fast. Besides, I don't really need to keep count. When I get there the worms will just go. The old crone promised me that once I kill those evil men that the worms will leave. She may be a bitch, but she keeps her promises.

[Unless something changes his heart along the way. But he doesn't mention that. Such lessons are for Manji to learn on his own if they come up rather than to be told about.]

Yeah. Although I wish I had changed that to mostly evil men. Finding truly evil people was a lot harder that I was expecting.

Don't suppose you know of any? [This is Manji's attempt at a joke. He knows the answer is going to be no. Or at least no one here.]

The only ones I ever saw are all dead now.

[He's lived a very long time...]

[Manji chuckles in a slightly devilish way.] Yeah. I bet they all would be. I would be insulted losing to you if they weren't. [He gives his fingers a bit of a wiggle and then starts forming a fist off and on. Full movement already fully restored.]

Rather than having defeated them, I witnessed their deaths. A shame you could not use your task to help find the creatures myself and my children fight. They are true evil.

Creatures, huh? [Manji rubs at his chin for a moment. He wasn't the religious type and wasn't sure how much he had believed in demons and monsters until he came to the fleet and met real demons and creatures like living swords.] I did tell her I would kill a thousand evil men. I wonder if creatures would count or not.

Heh. Knowing that bitch likely not. She'd want to keep my suffering going for as long as possible.

It would not be a punishment if it were something so easily accomplished.

Yeah, well, doesn't mean I have to like the punishment. Or think it's fair. [It was pretty fair.]

It seems rather fair. Particularly since it's somewhat self inflicted.

That is the part I referred to. [He knows what he's talking about, young man.]

Well you shouldn't call it self inflicted! None of this is my fault in the end. [No, Kogarasumaru didn't say it was his fault, but Manji just wants to make sure everyone knows things are never his fault.]
