[One afternoon Manji opens up his communicator.] Kogarasumaru! [He speaks with confidence that he probably shouldn't have.] You remember our fight, right? Well, I'm ready if you are. Shall I meet you at your dojo or somewhere on this junk of a planet? [Thanks to this thread Manji has a fight to pick. He could just call Kogarasumaru out privately, but he hasn't figured out how to do that just yet.]

Action: Junker Racing

[You know what else Manji can do that's really dumb? Try driving a car in a junker race with one arm. How hard can driving a car be when the most advance transportation you've ever driven was a horse?

And-- opps, yup. He's just crashed. In a spectacular fashion. Good thing he's immortal? Still, he may need a hand out of that wreckage.]

[Manji quickly rolls away and leaps up to his feet again. Before he even gets to his feet Manji has pulled out another another sword from his kimono. One that splits into two blades that connect in a circle before connecting into the hilt.] Getting a little more serious now, are you?

[He taunts with a smirk, but the taunt is more to give him a second to catch his breath.]

[Ulaz actually lets Manji get to his feet and even pull out the second sword. It wasn't so different than his own blade, a bit skinnier than his own. It would be trickier than the original, but he's unconcerned]

Why shouldn't I? I can take it as seriously I want to.

[He realizes its a ploy to waste time so he gives it a moment before he attacks again]

Because if you don't fight seriously with me you might end up bleeding. [He's got his breath again so Manji comes back in swinging. Only as he comes in running he suddenly kicks, not to kick Ulaz, but to kick off his sandal. It will go flying straight for Ulaz's face. Manji is using this as a distraction as he's hoping to find an opening when Ulaz deflects the sandal or in that brief moment while he's blinded by the footwear that Manji will be able to sneak in an attack.]

That is still up for debate.

[Well, Manji... you might not be expecting this, but Ulaz is going to do a back flip to avoid that sandal. Literally just dropping backwards before it hits him in the face. Once his feet are on the ground again, he uses the moment to push him forward, towards Manji]

[Manji grins when Ulaz back flips to avoid his sandal. Getting into the fight a bit more and because of it Manji doesn't back down. Bringing up his weapon to meet Ulaz with all the strength his one arm can muster. He refuses to be pushed backwards.]

[Ulaz leans into it, using his weight to push against the sword that Manji blocked with. He's not playing around, but he also hasn't gone into his full strength. He is, yes, attempting to push Manji backward]

[Manji's arm and leg muscles bulge with the effort of keeping Ulaz back. His teeth grind and he growls low in his throat giving this everything hes got, but he just can't put the same power behind what he would have done with both arms. He can just start to feel his feet slide back in the dirt and his toes curl in a unless attempt to stop himself.

Then suddenly, out of frustration and without any real thought, Manji slams his head forward in an attempt to headbutt Ulaz.

[Ulaz can see how he is straining against the attempt to keep from sliding back. He completely understands why. As much as Manji wanted to say he could do everything, having only one arm made it very difficult.

He's not surprised when Manji attempts to dislodge him with a headbutt. He does attempt to tilt his head to the side to avoid the hit.

ooc: Up to you if the hit connects with his head]

[Manji has spent many a fight with people trying to avoid his head so he's ready when Ulaz tries to move his head out of the way. ~~And to give him at least one cool move in this post of failure.~~ He's ready for the moment that their heads collide and when the loud thump accompanied with a blossom of pain erupts Manji pushes back and away from their locked blades.

He's a bit dizzy himself from the impact, but he won't let that stop him. Quickly coming back in once more with another quick strike coming in from the side.]

[Yep, that was Manji's head colliding with his even despite his attempt to move away. He had thought he might have been avoided so he is definitely surprised and shocked when the blow connects with a thud. He hadn't been wearing his mask up or it might have blocked some of that. He stumbles backwards a few steps from the impact.

He may be stunned, but he is still going to swing his blade around to intercept the strike. He might have tried for his short sword, but he - rightly - doesn't trust himself to be able to draw it and move it so soon]

[Manji knows for sure now that he can't overpower Ulaz so he starts going for speed yet again. Slashing and stabbing in a fury of blow, but he can't really keep the speed up. Soon he's huffing and puffing. Giving Ulaz more and more openings the more tired he gets.]

[Even briefly stunned, Ulaz can block those attempts to strike him, which does allow him to recover. Manji started out fast, but he was fading just as quickly. With an opening available, Ulaz moved to hit. He kept his control so he could pull back after only drawing blood, but not enough to cause serious injury]

[He's too tired and isn't fast enough to stop Ulaz this time.] SHIT! [He sounds more annoyed then hurt when the other man is the first to draw blood.

Manji backs off after the blood has been spilled. His chest heaving as gets his breath back.] To first blood then? Or shall we keep going. Because I can do this all day. [Liar.]

[He can tell that's bold lie, but he's not going to call him on it]

To first blood. Perhaps another time when I am your first challenge of the day, we can spar again.

Yeah, cause then I'll kick your ass. [He says it with a smile and without any real malice. He's just having a bit of fun now.] But I'll admit it. You're not too bad.

Good, I look forward to it. [He really does look forward to someone being able to beat him] And you aren't bad yourself.

Thanks. Although next time don't go easy on me just 'cause I only have the one arm. I can take it.

But I like your blade. That is a very interesting blade. How does it change shape like that? Is it springs or somethin'?

I won't.

[Ulaz shows him the blade, making sure to keep a grip on it] It is luxite, an interesting element in our world. It reacts to our nature as Galra and when we have learned how our particular blade works, we can change it at will.

[As a demonstration, Ulaz's blade collapses to the size of a dagger only moments later increasing in size and changing shape again]

[Manji doesn't even try to hide how impressed he looks as he watches the blade change in size and shape. He is very impressed! But there is one thing that's bugging him.] So, I guess it only works for Galra blood or somethin' like that, huh?

[Not that he was really going to steal it. You just never know who's going to get killed one day or sent home. Why not treat yourself to a new weapon if that happens?]

Yes. Only someone with Galra blood can use it to its full potential.

[It was still a useful dagger not converted, but it would never be anything more to someone who wasn't at least part Galra]

Luxite is a very interesting material.

That's disappointing. [For him.] Wish I had a blade like that one. Certainly would come in handy now and then.

Not disappointing for me. [It ensures thieves can't use it to its potential. Even other Blade of Marmora members can't use his sword] It does. Of course I only know of luxite changing its shape, but never for a non-Galra. Doesn't mean there aren't others.

Maybe we'll come across some eventually. You let me know if you hear about something like that which works for humans.

[But he was tired. So very tired now.] Thank for the fight. I think I'm going to go wash up.

If I hear about something that works for humans, I will inform you of it. And I would wish to see it in action.

[Manji is going to go back to where he's been staying and sleep. For like... a week.]
