It's time for a spooky candy-filled drift, Flooters! And because no Halloween is complete without a few tricks...a mini player plot! If you'd rather just have a normal mingle, feel free to ignore it and tag about as normal!

On the Iskaulit for interested parties there are a few bowls of candy gathered from all the ships. It's a random assortment! The bowls are left in high traffic areas and they can be moved about, so feel free to say your character ran into the bowl wherever you like! Even in the bathroom? Who knows! Fancy hotels do it, so why not the Fleet.

Upon consuming candy taken from the bowl however, the character will have their hair or skin temporarily change color to something not their natural shade. This is a harmless illusion spell and can last anywhere from 1 to 8 hours - player's choice! What colors? Also player's choice! Want to go mauve for the day? Sure! Blue and green? Go for it! Rainbow glitter? Why not?

This is a completely harmless spell though, so while it looks like they've changed colors, it is not a real physical change. After a few hours, the effects wear off and everything is back to normal. Happy Halloween♥

I don't know, this just sounds an awful lot like a stall tactic.

And that sounds like a taunt.

[ but he gestures to her bag, showing that he's willing to try his own luck. ]

I wouldn't dream of taunting a god, good sir!

[She lifts off her hat and bows with a dramatic flourish, offering her candy out to him while she's still bent in mock-deference.]

[ he pulls out a piece of candy. it flickers in his hands before vanishing. ]

[She quirks a brow at him, because that ain't how it works.]

I dream a little bigger than that. Where's your adventurous spirit?

Hmm. I think I am the wrong God for that.

[ adventurous spirit? pass. ]

Boooo, spoilsport. Next time I'll make you go first.

[She's tempted to flick a disguise spell at him directly, but she spent most of her spell slots on the candy and it's probably not wise to throw magic right in god's face. (She's not as dumb as some people in that regard. yet.)

I heard that gods had a thing for making deals. Or is that just the fey?

[She doesn't really know her lore that well; that's always been Merle's thing more than hers.]

Gods make oaths, I suppose. And on occasion, deals. The fey are a little more limited.

[ in that gods can break deals, but the fey do not. but loki isn't going to share that nugget of information. ]

[She shrugs.]

Oh well, no skin off my back if you want to stay all grim and gloomy. I like it when my life's more colourful.

[She's gonna eat another one of the squirmy-wormies, though, because the first one was fun enough even if he's not gonna play fair.]

[ certainly he dresses that way, but loki is certainly not one to lean on that. ]

General aesthetics, mostly. A bit of lore. Plus it's fun to tease.

[Her tone is incredibly non-committal. Is she lying? Is that true? Who even knows.]

No doubt, with the gods and goddesses you all tend to mingle with.

Uh-huh. Plus I did live with a cleric for a hundred years.

[A cleric who was terrible at his job and only really knew about one god in particular, but hey.]

But all lore differs to some degree. And there is danger in assumptions, especially with Gods.

[She's been trolling a big goo monster that eats gods (and everything else) for a century, and it hasn't killed her permanently yet. Hard to be scarier than that!]

Exactly! It speaks for itself. Spend too much time worrying about everything, and you'll live a boring life.
