It's time for a spooky candy-filled drift, Flooters! And because no Halloween is complete without a few tricks...a mini player plot! If you'd rather just have a normal mingle, feel free to ignore it and tag about as normal!

On the Iskaulit for interested parties there are a few bowls of candy gathered from all the ships. It's a random assortment! The bowls are left in high traffic areas and they can be moved about, so feel free to say your character ran into the bowl wherever you like! Even in the bathroom? Who knows! Fancy hotels do it, so why not the Fleet.

Upon consuming candy taken from the bowl however, the character will have their hair or skin temporarily change color to something not their natural shade. This is a harmless illusion spell and can last anywhere from 1 to 8 hours - player's choice! What colors? Also player's choice! Want to go mauve for the day? Sure! Blue and green? Go for it! Rainbow glitter? Why not?

This is a completely harmless spell though, so while it looks like they've changed colors, it is not a real physical change. After a few hours, the effects wear off and everything is back to normal. Happy Halloween♥

Hm, yes he is. The food quality has certainly improved over there since Taako came aboard.

[Thor doesn't go over there all the time... but he definitely takes food when he does.]

Yeah, that's normal when it comes to Taako. Though I can absolutely vouch for the food on the Heron being equally top-notch.

[Perhaps not as aesthetically creative as his, since he's the real professional, but there's something to be said of tasty simplicity in the kitchen.]

[He doesn't make a habit of gatecrashing too many ships. Even Loki's he tends to call ahead. Lest his brother get stabby about it.]

It isn't hard to fare better than what the ships provide on their own.

Yeah, home sweet home, I guess.

[Somewhat sarcastically; "home" isn't really a thing for her at this point.]

When it comes to food, it helps to have a transmutation wizard around. Or at least someone who knows a few spells. Not so many limitations when it comes to ingredients, that way.

Yeah, easier than stockpiling at every stop I suppose. That's what my ship does-- [He waves a hand] --though we don't need as much as we used to.

I've had worse fare than what the ships provide but I still wouldn't eat it if other options are around.

Well, if you've ever got a hankering for a sweet meal, feel free to visit. I already cook for the rest of the ship, one more won't make or break us.

[Well she does have that one spell that'll feed a hundred people a six-course meal, so... maybe if you're nice enough she'll treat you to that one day??]

That is pretty new. When I got here people kept telling me it's 'not usually like this', since we were stranded on a planet full of cannibals.

[A shrug.]

At least your first month likely wasn't that bad.

Yiiiiikes. Yeah, I'd take trash planet over cannibals any day of the week. You seem to have come out of it alright, unless this- [She points to her eye-] Was a side-effect.

That? No, that was before I came here. [...he shrugs.] Well, sort of. It happened at home at least.

I'm certain that's why the Atroma gave me this costume though.

I don't know much about the Atroma, but from what I've heard that's pretty in line with their sense of humour. Oh well, at least you're embracing it? They'd probably prefer if you got mad. More dramatic that way.

[Serious or not, it makes her laugh, slapping her thigh, and she takes a swig of her drink as the chuckles die out.]

Eh, anger's still good, at least! Keeps you from turning into a lump of inactivity. Guys who sit around are no fun.

I have to agree. Even in this place it happens all the time, and I can't stand it. [He shakes his head, knowing it isn't as simple as all that but hating it all the same.] I don't want to become so used to this that I stop trying to change it.
