Broadcast / Action to anyone on the Marsiva
[Veronica wakes with a distinct feeling of wrongness. The camera zooms in as blue eyes open, a frown already on her face. She sits up slowly, the covers falling off and pooling at her hips to reveal she's in standard Garrison uniform, the typical attire of an officer. Rubbing at her face, she looks to the side to spot her glasses and quickly jams them on.

Her frown deepens.] Where...am I...?

[Veronica slides out of bed, to find her shoes tucked neatly beside the bed. Frowning at them, she goes barefoot for now, instead running down the hallway and feeling cold metal under her feet.]

Hello? Is anyone there?

Action - Iskaulit & Blue Fish
[Veronica can be found wandering the Iskaulit and the S.S. Blue Fish restlessly. She's a hot mess of emotions, unsure how to deal with everything that is going on right now, and her first priority is just to become familiar with her surroundings. Most everything she would be interested in is on the Iskaulit, it seems, so this is where she starts.

She'll most often be pacing, but if you're lucky, you might catch her frowning and poking at her communicator, trying to make it function in some way like what she's used to. She wants more information, maybe this can help.]

[It's just a normal day of browsing the network, seeing if there are any new arrivals. And it seems that there are. One in particular, though, catches his eye--

V-VERONICA?!

[Lance hasn't seen a member of his family for years now. He has no idea how they're getting along, or what's happening back on Earth. Though Earth was their next destination, he still hadn't expected to see her like this. Not here, and yet, her face is unmistakable.]

[itsyagirl]

[Woah, what? Veronica stops in her tracks, skidding a bit in the ship at the sound of her brother's voice coming from...her pants? She frowns as she pulls out the communicator, surprised to see Lance's face on the other side.]

Lance. [She lets out a sigh of relief, sinking down to sit on the ground.] It's good to see a familiar face. Do you know what's going on? I just woke up somewhere...not where I went to bed.

[the_tailor]

You're...this is... You... Is it really you, hermana?

[Though not obvious through the camera, Lance can feel himself very nearly tremble. It's her. His sister. The sibling he was closest to. His best friend growing up. His family.

His chest aches.]

[itsyagirl]

[Veronica frowns, confused by the reaction. Did something happen? Has she been missing or something?]

Of...course it is. Who else would I be? [A short pause.] ...Why are you acting so weird?

[the_tailor]

What do you mean, acting so weird?! How are you so calm right now seeing me? Veronica, it's been...it's been...I can't even figure out how long at this point!

[Something is definitely up, but he doesn't get what just yet.]

[itsyagirl]

What are you talking about? [She's getting seriously worried now, brow furrowing.] I literally said goodnight to you last night. You were complaining about Kosmo getting slobber in your hair.

[the_tailor]

The last time you said goodnight to me was over the phone a few days before I... before the whole Voltron thing happened! Veronica, I haven't seen you in years! And who's Kosmo?

[Lance is getting Very Worried as well.]

[itsyagirl]

What? No, that isn't possible... You know! Keith's space wolf!

[What is going on? She shakes her head slowly.] Please don't tell me I dreamed all of this.

[the_tailor]

Keith's space wolf has a name? But he hasn't even...

[There's a long pause as the puzzle pieces begin to slot into space. Why she seems to already know Keith's space wolf. Why she's apparently just seen Lance. Why she looks even older than he would have expected her to.]

Veronica... We've been taken here from different times. You... You're further along than I am. You're from my future. I'm from your past.

[itsyagirl]

[She can see in his face that Lance is starting to put the pieces together, and she waits. Veronica is still confused and worried, unsure how all of this could even be possible. She knows she couldn't have dreamed Voltron. Hell, she still has scars from her attempt to get Lance to the base.

Lance's solution, however, only confuses her more, and Veronica can't help but scoff.]

Oh, come on. I'm from your future? Lance, that isn't possible.

[the_tailor]

It's very possible. This place? It's weird. Defies all logic and explanation, and coming from someone who got launched into space to fight an intergalactic war piloting a giant sentient robot cat, that's saying something. It... It takes people from different worlds, different universes, even. And different times. Like, right now, Allura's not caught up with me, so to speak. The last thing she remembers before being here is something that happened a while back for me.

[Sigh.]

So it's the same thing with us. But... That... That means we see each other again.

[And his expression starts to turn hopeful.]

[itsyagirl]

That... [Lance seems really convinced. Veronica knows his tells better than probably anyone else, and he's not lying. Why would he, about something so convoluted?

Well, she supposes, if her whole world has turned upside down once, who's to say it can't do it again?]

What is this place? [Her voice is softer now.] How did we get here?

[the_tailor]

We're on a fleet of spaceships that kind of...drift from planet to planet. Apparently, we were brought here by some mysterious pain in the asses called the Atroma, but we don't know a ton about them or how exactly they're able to pluck us from different worlds and times. And, uh.

[And the weird part.]

Apparently we're on some weird space reality show.

[itsyagirl]

Okay, so we've been kidnapped by aliens, basically.

[She's staying calm for the most part. She's not typically one to panic in a crisis, though she's certainly alarmed. At least Lance is here, and he seems unhurt.

The second bit, though, she narrows her eyes.]

...You're kidding.

[the_tailor]

In a nutshell, yeah. And unfortunately, I'm not kidding. We don't know exactly who our audience is, but apparently our lives are being broadcast for entertainment. You kind of get used to it after a while, weirdly enough.

[He tries not to think about it that much.]

[itsyagirl]

[For a long moment, she's just silent, processing that.

Then abruptly she lets out a sharp bark of laughter.]

...Okay. That's...that's a new one. So where are you? How do I get to you?

[She'll try to cope with this later.]

[the_tailor]

I'm on the Huntress. Unfortunately, we can't see each other face to face until...tomorrow-ish? They usually move the new people onto the actual proper ships on Saturdays. Until then, you're stuck on the Marsiva with whoever else is new.

[Honestly, his head is still spinning from actually seeing her again.]

Sis, you have no idea...how long it's been for me since I've seen you. I'm still not back to Earth, back home.

[itsyagirl]

Oh. [There's disappointment in her voice and she doesn't bother hiding it. It would feel safer to have Lance at her back, and vice-versa.] I guess I can wait.

[She manages a faint smile at that.] I guess you get a sneak peek here, then.

[the_tailor]

Guess so. You know you're going to be getting the biggest hug you've ever gotten from me, you know that? We're talking Hunk style hugs here.

[itsyagirl]

Hunk style? [That makes her laugh softly. Poor Lance. She remembers how much he'd clung to everyone when he'd first seen them, and there wasn't a dry eye among the clan.]

Just try not to break any bones, okay? I know you've put on some muscle saving the universe.

[the_tailor]

Please, like you can ever forget Hunk's hugs. [He chuckles. God...he misses his best friend.] I'll try not to, but I've been putting on even more muscle since I got here, so be prepared.

[Sort of? Kind of? He's been training a ton more, though he hasn't technically bulked up that much.]
