[Lord Akeldama had woken not long before. He didn't feel quite like himself. He couldn't tell what was doing it more: the strange pain in the back of his head or the fact that he had essentially been ripped from his territory.

It was... different still somehow than it normally would have been.

He didn't necessarily feel like trying out this new gadget they had been given just yet so he stood by the large window looking into the blackness of space. He had always looked at it from the ground. This is what it looked like up close]

First Breath
[All of this moving around was not doing the vampire any good. Didn't they know that a vampire needed his territory in order to be settled. First one ship and now another. This was most inconvenient.

Hopefully, the moving between ships had stopped. He needed a few days to settle in, for his head to accept this ship has "his territory". He'd do better once that happens.

However, this other ship seemed to be more to his liking. The style wasn't quite what he'd do with his own house, but it was close enough and he wasn't going to scoff at it. So much better than that other ship.

So rather sitting alone in that tiny room they called a cabin, Lord Akeldama made his way to kitchen, sitting quietly by himself for the moment]

Isakulit
[Finally feeling more the thing, Lord Akeldama decided to go exploring this ship called "the Iskaulit". It certainly looked like there was more space there than on the other ships. He was right about that and was quite happy to go exploring, to see what sort of spaces there were available to the Fleeters.

He's probably not too subtle, dressed in plum colored evening jacket, gold waistcoat, high heeled boots, and a cravat of a different shade of purple that still seemed to compliment both the waistcoat and the jacket]

[Lord Akeldama has found himself a rather pleasing looking spot to make his post. It wouldn't do to have it look poorly behind him after]

Good afternoon, fellow passengers of this thing called "the Fleet". As I understand it, we are all trapped this positively wonderful place as part of a farce. Am I correct in this assessment? Is there anything else that I should know?

Oh, that is a shame. It would have been perfect to pick up things from there.

[He'd never ask Biffy for clothes. Biffy was always perfectly dressed, but his colors were far more sedate. Besides, it wasn't right to borrow someone else's clothes except in dire need and Lord Akeldama didn't consider this that time]

That would be marvelous! I would like to see them!

When you have a moment, please come by my salon. I will make certain they are out and ready for you to inspect.

I will be there as soon as I possibly can.

[And of course he is. He's unused to having work, but he's still very efficient about it. So he arrives at Biffy's salon well before closing time since it would be rude otherwise. When he does arrive, he peeks inside, tapping against the door frame like he's knocking]

Anybody home~?

[Biffy looks over with a smile from where he's been busying himself with rearranging some bottles to look more appealing for his customers. Giving a little bow, he waves for the vampire to come in.]

Welcome. I'm glad you could make it, my Lord.

Of course, my dearest fluff.

[He had rather liked using that turn of phrase for Biffy before so he was going to use it again]

I will always come if I say I am. Are you doing well?

[Civility first, business second]

Of course. May I offer you tea to drink while I fetch the items?

[Because of course he has to be a good host! And a good host always offers tea to his guest.]

Tea would be greatly appreciated.

[He goes to one of the chairs to sit, knowing that Biffy will make the tea the way he likes it]

I've been positively excited to see what you found.

[It doesn't take long before he comes back with a pot and a cup. Of course the fresh smell of lemon fills the air as he sets it down for Dama. It has to sit another moment or so but he knows that will be time for him to fetch the items.]

If you will give me just one moment, my Lord.

[And he will patiently wait. He knows tea takes time. He'd much rather have it perfect than immediately. He'll enjoy the ambiance and the smell of lemon for the time being]

By all means, take your time. You are the one gracious enough to offer.

[Rushing the host, especially when something is being offered as a gift, is bad form]

[He smiles and bows his head politely before going to fetch a few boxes. It takes a couple trips since a gentleman NEVER carries a great deal at once, even if he is like himself and can easily manage the task. Before he sits so he can show the items, he pours the tea and makes sure that Akeldama gets a touch of lemon in his before handing him the cup.]

Shall we begin?

[Lord Akeldama just waits patiently, alternating between surveying Biffy's salon from his seated position to watching the young werewolf bring in the boxes. He was well aware he could have carried them all in at once without a problem. It was oddly pleasing that Biffy still held the standards of a gentleman, even after apparently 20 years with werewolves. To be fair though, if Lyall hadn't been swayed by Lord Maccon's more rough and tumble lifestyle, it was unlikely Biffy would either.

As Biffy moves to the boxes he might have laced his fingers together in anticipation... but he's holding a cup of tea now so he's not going to do that]

Yes, my dear, let's.

[Almost like its a conspiracy of some sort]

[The first thing he brings out is a rather delightful looking clock. He's quite fond of it but it simply doesn't go with anything he's done for decorations. Here in his salon or on the Blameless. Yet he does feel it quite suits his former master.]

This is the first piece. It even has the delightful necessity of needing to be wound up each night.

[With how advanced everything is here sometimes it's just nice to have something that is familiar.]

[Biffy does know Lord Akeldama well and when he shows him the clock, the vampire's face lights up. Clearly he likes it too]

What a charming find that is. You really do have fine taste. Not that I ever doubted you did.

[At least giving it to the vampire means that it will be displayed proudly and be well taken care of]

And it still needs to be wound up? Marvelous! You know, I'm sure the ones on the ships are well and good, always correct, but there is something for one like that. I'm sure it would be easier if I learned how to use the ones on the ship, but really... who has the time?

[He was really reaching for that clock pun there... But he takes a sip of tea after he says it, as straight-faced as he normally is]

[He smiles brightly. Of course he'd known the style of the clock was perfect but he does so appreciate the validation.

And he actually chuckles at the pun. Because at least Akeldama's are amusing.]

I couldn't agree more, my Lord. Here is the next.

[Very carefully he unpacks a lamp.]

I have some oil for it as well.

[Good, it wasn't lost on Biffy, his clock joke. It would have been terrible if it was.

He lowers his cup again to look at the next item presented. A very nice lamp]

Isn't that fantastic? Shame I didn't have the chance to see this world. I've only seen two pieces and they are wonderful.

[They will definitely help with making his cabin seem more like home]

You would have quite enjoyed it. It was perhaps a little more muted for your tastes but as you can see here there was plenty to purchase.

[He leans down to fetch the next prize for the vampire.]

And here are these. I feel they would quite suit you, my Lord.

To be honest, most people in London dressed too muted for my taste.

[Including Biffy and most of the drones though Tizzy and his obsession with yellow was almost on point if he had only varied it some. At least they were impeccably dressed otherwise and it wasn't their life to stand out too much]

Those are precious. I do like those. They suit me quite well indeed.

[So far not a bad one of the lot. At least Biffy knows his tastes well]

I had rather thought you might like them.

[It's been some time since he properly lived in that household but he remembers Akeldama's tastes so well. It's hard to forget them.]

Are you ready for the last?

[He hasn't forgotten. These are all things that Lord Akeldama would have and the vampire is very excited. Almost like a school boy on Christmas]

Of course. I'm anxious to see!

[The last one takes a little more effort to get each part carefully out. Why? Because as it turns out it's a tea set.]

No gentleman should be without a proper tea set for personal and guest use.

[It's pretty obvious within the first few pieces what Biffy is setting up, but he waits patiently, drinking his own tea and watching each new piece be set up. It's a full set, he is pleased to see and so fashionable at that. He can certainly provide a proper cup of tea with that]

Of course, one does need a tea set. It could not be properly functioning household with one. It's just perfect. We will have to use it sometime when you come to visit.

I would be honored if you were to serve me tea when I have the opportunity to visit, my Lord.

[It would simply be wonderful. Because he really would like to be friends with this vampire. As odd as it might be for a werewolf and vampire to do so. And, he feels like it will help heal old wounds as well if they do this.]

Once I am settled and I have obtained some decent tea, we will arrange that.

[He knows more than anyone how weird it is for vampires and werewolves to be friends. As two predators with differing social structures, they were frequently at odds. But Biffy had asked to be friends and even if he can't have Biffy be a vampire with him, some part of him loathes the idea of simply losing him all together]

Proper tea can be difficult to come by here. Should you require a small lending of it until you can get your own please do not hesitate to ask.

[Though, he knows that Akeldama likely won't. Even though they plan to be friends, they are still werewolf and vampire. They will try to avoid owing each other favors as much as possible.]

Of course, of course. I'll be sure to ask if I require any.

[Nope, he probably won't. Social niceties aside, it's not something either side likes by nature, owing a debt of any sort to the other. Gifts were one thing, lending another.

Not that he really drank tea much on his own anyway. He preferred champagne if he was going to drink anything not his normal food source, but tea was better for socializing]
