001 video and action
Who: Akeldama and you!
Broadcast: Yep!
Action: Marsiva, First Breath, and Iskaulit
When: Beginning of November
Marsiva
[Lord Akeldama had woken not long before. He didn't feel quite like himself. He couldn't tell what was doing it more: the strange pain in the back of his head or the fact that he had essentially been ripped from his territory.
It was... different still somehow than it normally would have been.
He didn't necessarily feel like trying out this new gadget they had been given just yet so he stood by the large window looking into the blackness of space. He had always looked at it from the ground. This is what it looked like up close]
First Breath
[All of this moving around was not doing the vampire any good. Didn't they know that a vampire needed his territory in order to be settled. First one ship and now another. This was most inconvenient.
Hopefully, the moving between ships had stopped. He needed a few days to settle in, for his head to accept this ship has "his territory". He'd do better once that happens.
However, this other ship seemed to be more to his liking. The style wasn't quite what he'd do with his own house, but it was close enough and he wasn't going to scoff at it. So much better than that other ship.
So rather sitting alone in that tiny room they called a cabin, Lord Akeldama made his way to kitchen, sitting quietly by himself for the moment]
Isakulit
[Finally feeling more the thing, Lord Akeldama decided to go exploring this ship called "the Iskaulit". It certainly looked like there was more space there than on the other ships. He was right about that and was quite happy to go exploring, to see what sort of spaces there were available to the Fleeters.
He's probably not too subtle, dressed in plum colored evening jacket, gold waistcoat, high heeled boots, and a cravat of a different shade of purple that still seemed to compliment both the waistcoat and the jacket]
Broadcast
[Lord Akeldama has found himself a rather pleasing looking spot to make his post. It wouldn't do to have it look poorly behind him after]
Good afternoon, fellow passengers of this thing called "the Fleet". As I understand it, we are all trapped this positively wonderful place as part of a farce. Am I correct in this assessment? Is there anything else that I should know?

Iskaulit
Not a lot of people are nocturnal here, though, so it's a given they will bump into each other at some point when Lyall decides to go for an evening of sitting quietly in one of the watering holes so he can listen to conversations.
But as usual, Lyall, will at least attempt to not engage and leave it at a nod of greetings.
He doesn't have much hope that it will stay at that.]
Iskaulit
Dolly, darling, how are you this evening?
[He's not being as loud as he normally would, almost as if he was aware Lyall was listening in and trying not to make his presence too obvious. Given that he's a gossip monger, he's definitely wanting to listen in too.
If he didn't have manners, he would have sat down with Lyall without being asked, but at least he wouldn't presume the werewolf is not waiting to meet someone]
no subject
Well enough, my Lord. And yourself?
[He is a bit curious as to how a vampire will adapt to space from a scientific point of view, but it seems rude to ask. Besides, if he could expect any one vampire to adapt quickly to new circumstances, Lord Akeldama would be the one.]
no subject
Doing well, my dear. Doing well. Day by day, it becomes more familiar.
[Well, that's the answer. He's less flustered than when they first ran into each other]
no subject
I am glad to hear it.
[And by now, he assumes that you know who gave him that ring, so...]
I do believe Biffy has told you of our... circumstances.
no subject
I still don't know how long it will take to form that attachment with it. I have never had to make a traveling vessel my territory.
[The Iskaulit, as a "public" space, doesn't seem to be interfering with forming a tether. He's weary of traveling to another crew ship at the moment, not wanting to test the strength of it]
Yes, he has, Dolly dear. Which is why chose to come over when I saw you.
[As always he's hard to read, but at least he doesn't seem angry]
no subject
Have a seat, my Lord. It is hardly a conversation to be had standing.
no subject
I'm sure I don't need to remind you that Biffy was my drone for quite some time. He is happy with you. I can see it and he told me as much. I cannot express how pleased I am that he is happy. After his metamorphosis, I honestly wasn't sure if he would be.
[Nope this is not an angry talk at all. Lyall can be relieved about that]
no subject
It did take him quite some time, my Lord, but he... grew into himself.
He has told me as well, and to be honest, I think it has taken me a longer time to come around than it has him. We were... separated for a while at some point, and it did strain things a little, but I believe they have been resolved.
[As the shiny ring on Lyall's fingers does attest.]
I still don't have any excuse for what I did to the two of you. I simply did what I thought was best at the time, and at first it was little consolation, I know that.
no subject
He laced his long white fingers together as Lyall spoke]
Yes... that night. I don't need to tell you I am a man who likes to be in control of positively everything. That week was not one of those moments. I'm sure you know the principles of a vampire swarming. I had finally regained myself only to find out...
[He paused for a long moment]
I do not hate werewolves so much as all of that. But...
[He's trying hard not to use the phrase that Biffy was his. They both knew that had been the case, but that argument had solved nothing at the time and now he had to move beyond that. Biffy is a werewolf and had grown to be happy in the pack with time that he didn't have]
It is the job of a vampire to protect his drones. I wasn't the one who had to make that choice, could make the choice. I don't envy you making that decision, Dolly.
[It had been a little over a month since Biffy had been changed and he had of course in private replayed the events of that dreadful week over in his head, looking for the flaw in his own careful plans so he could prevent it again. He had of course thought on his words where he had said Biffy would have been better to die. Neither werewolf nor dead would have been an option to spare them from his temper. There would have been no winning that]
no subject
[But unfortunately, Lyall had had his hands full with a sloshed Alpha, a pack that needed to be held together and BUR.]
I cannot claim to be able to understand what pain that brought the both of you.
[But of course, someone with Lord Akldama's intellect knows that this was the best way to avoid a vampire civil war int he heart of London between its two most powerful rove.]
no subject
[He glanced pointedly at the ring on Lyall's finger. But, he's not angry about that. There is something that is keeping him from being angry about it]
I do know why it happened, both for why Walsingham targeted my dear Biffy and why you and the earl did what you did. It pains me more that I didn't see it coming.
I said at the time, I am a rove so that I may do what I want. Far be it for me to stop someone else. If Biffy is happy... that's what is important. It would give me to no pleasure to know he was miserable for the rest of his unusually long life.
[The idea of someone pining away for someone else was an interesting story, but impractical in real life especially where supernaturals were concerned]
And if he is happy with you, who am I to object.
no subject
But truly, if that's the only slightly acerbic thing that the vampire rove throws his way regarding the whole matter, it is, truly, honestly, a very cheap price to pay.
Biffy truly has the power of a magician, to be able to cow such powerful supernatural beings - himself being one notwithstanding.]
I will spare you the condescension of giving you my thanks, my Lord. But I do appreciate it nonetheless.
I know he has probably extended the offer, and it is... an unusual arrangement of course, but if he has offered his help to have you settle down, then you have mine as well.
no subject
Yes, he was handful. At least Lyall can count his blessings that he doesn't have to be the one to deal with Lord Akeldama alone. He at least has Biffy as a buffer. Biffy at least knows how to reel him in]
I am beginning to settle, my dear Dolly. Spending some time on my ship has helped and others have been most kind as to provide information.
[Given that he liked information, this is good for him]
As you suspected, Biffy has offered and I do appreciate the offer for your assistance, darling. If I require it, I will let you know. You always do have a good stock of situations.
no subject
[He does tend to think a lot more like a vampire than like a werewolf for certain things, that is true.]
I assume you have been informed of our current situation with regards to clothing. Hopefully our next stopover will be a bit more civilized and allow you to furnish your quarters and closets more adequately.
no subject
I have been so informed. It is such a shame.
[He sighed dramatically]
I do hope so. I am entirely unused having almost nothing in my closet. I am also unused to the small size of the closet.
[Little does he know, it could be smaller]
no subject
[Lyall, while always dressed impeccably, has never really had that problem. He is conten with small spaces, and while reasonably wealthy himself and sparing no expenses on the cut of his clothing, he's always preferred durable and forgettable to absolutely fashionable. Both for personal taste and for practical reasons. He will always dress adequately, as befits his status, and unlike his Alpha and the vampire rove, he is not a nobleman.]
There are... opportunities to expand one's quarters. And I do blieve, once you get sufficient funds, that you might even be able to commandeer your own private space on the Iskaulit. Most people do it for business, but as long as it is paid for I believe yu could so what you want with it.
no subject
He tapped his chin with one finger as he considered it]
Oh, now there is an idea, Dolly darling. I can look at the possibility of purchasing space for them later. At least partially use it to supplement the meager closet space. It would be a shame to not have them handy in the evening, but I can't afford to be picky if I want them to stay in good condition.
no subject
Our ships can be enlarged somewhat, but nowhere near your standards, I am afraid.
[Because Akeldaa has more clothes than a good number of people put together, to be honest.]
no subject
There is already a small hanging closet, but it will barely be enough space.
[Such are the laments of a fashion forward vampire]
I do hope I will have time to get something before you two pick your date.
[Yep, Biffy's already promised him an invitation to the wedding]
no subject
We have not set the date yet, so I believe we should at least get to a new system before that happens. This place is just...
[Allow him to scrunch his nose, Akeldama. This would offend anyone's sensibilities and Lyall's nose is especially sharp even among werewolves.]
no subject
[He will ignore the obvious sign of disgust. Based on what he's heard, he felt it was justified enough to ignore]
no subject
[The stench was so bad even you would have agreed it was unbearable.]
no subject
How long has it been since you arrived, Dolly?
[He says this contemplatively, lacing his fingers together]
