Marsiva
[Lord Akeldama had woken not long before. He didn't feel quite like himself. He couldn't tell what was doing it more: the strange pain in the back of his head or the fact that he had essentially been ripped from his territory.

It was... different still somehow than it normally would have been.

He didn't necessarily feel like trying out this new gadget they had been given just yet so he stood by the large window looking into the blackness of space. He had always looked at it from the ground. This is what it looked like up close]


First Breath
[All of this moving around was not doing the vampire any good. Didn't they know that a vampire needed his territory in order to be settled. First one ship and now another. This was most inconvenient.

Hopefully, the moving between ships had stopped. He needed a few days to settle in, for his head to accept this ship has "his territory". He'd do better once that happens.

However, this other ship seemed to be more to his liking. The style wasn't quite what he'd do with his own house, but it was close enough and he wasn't going to scoff at it. So much better than that other ship.

So rather sitting alone in that tiny room they called a cabin, Lord Akeldama made his way to kitchen, sitting quietly by himself for the moment]


Isakulit
[Finally feeling more the thing, Lord Akeldama decided to go exploring this ship called "the Iskaulit". It certainly looked like there was more space there than on the other ships. He was right about that and was quite happy to go exploring, to see what sort of spaces there were available to the Fleeters.

He's probably not too subtle, dressed in plum colored evening jacket, gold waistcoat, high heeled boots, and a cravat of a different shade of purple that still seemed to compliment both the waistcoat and the jacket]

Good afternoon, fellow passengers of this thing called "the Fleet". As I understand it, we are all trapped this positively wonderful place as part of a farce. Am I correct in this assessment? Is there anything else that I should know?

There's a bit more than that. Has anyone told you about the augment malfunctions yet? Any areas you have specific questions about?

I have been told about these aug-mint-thingies, bu not that they malfunction. What happens?

[He's purposely messing up the word "augment" at this point]

It's actually pretty varied. People generally refer to them as glitches and it can be anything from your personal gravity not working anymore to feeling more energetic than usual to...literally becoming a younger version of yourself.

[If Felix doesn't look amused, that's because he isn't.]

Oh, well, those do sound terribly inconvenient. I much prefer the way I am now.

I also doubt the Atroma can even fathom how far I'd have to change in age to be younger.

[That second part definitely gets a curious look.]

Oh, my dear, a vampire never tells his age. But I have looked the same for longer than probably most people in the fleet have been alive.

[Well. That answers that question.

Felix lives on a ship with two werewolves and he's...making an effort. Not to judge people just because they're more than or different from humans. It means that at most Akeldama gets a look that's mostly one of consideration but also a little bit searching. He nods his head slightly.]

I mean. I wouldn't absolutely put it past them. But maybe you're right and that would be too far a reach.

It doesn't happen too often, though. I've only had one 'glitch' in two years.

[Ironic of course considering those werewolves were at the very least acquaintances of the vampire. He does notice that look, but he doesn't say anything about it. He's used to attracting attention as a vampire and he encourages it]

Well, that is encouraging! I can only hope that I am so lucky.

Honestly, you seem like you'll be entertaining enough to the audience without it.

[Because Felix is pretty much convinced that the glitches are anything but accidental.

...Also when he says 'audience' it's with a heavily sarcastic inflection. He doesn't think there's an audience either.]

Then I can only hope "entertaining" is a factor. Less like to suffer the inconvenience of a glitch. They sound so very troubling.

[He understands the sarcasm. He doesn't mind being the center of attention for an audience, but he wants to decide when and where]

They're not all bad. But it is a little bit disconcerting to be messed with.

I can say it is. Even just this much has done something to me.

I'm one of the pilots on the Blameless.

Ah so you are on the Blameless? Fabulous. Then you would know Biffy and his professor friend.

[That...makes sense. Vampires and werewolves. Also the clothes.]

I am, darling. I have known them for quite sometime.

[Yes, the clothes do seem indicate that they are from similar times, even though he's quite a bit more colorful than Biffy or Lyall]

That's good. It's nice to have familiar faces around.

...Assuming it's a friendly relationship.

[He's vaguely aware of the trope of vampires and werewolves not getting along.]

Well, I am more of an acquaintance of Dolly's. We have spoken in more of a professional context.

[He'd say Lyall only just tolerated him, which was probably true, but that's not one says to a stranger. If it got back to him, that would be such a scandal]

I am very good friends with dear Biffy however. I knew him before he was changed.

[That's mildly interesting, and Felix nods. But there's something else Akeldama said that's kind of a little more interesting.]

Professional context, you said? What kind of work?

He worked for B.U.R.... the Bureau of Unnatural Registry. Had quite a demanding job, but always the best at what he did. Myself and my boys assisted him a few times with investigations.
