Who: Taako and alllll y'all
Broadcast: Yes
Action: First Breath
When: 11/7
[Taako's not wearing his costume today, but considering what he is wearing? People might not be able to tell the difference. He's lying on his bed on the First Breath, the wall behind him carpeted in mismatched beaded curtains and hung with shawls of various colors and patterns. He's wrapped up in a giant rainbow colored feather boa and a shimmery white shirt with his wizard hat decked out in rainbow ribbons and stars - it's a huge mess and he doesn't look like he cares.]
Sooo question for all of you nerds out there: anyone out there have experience with dimensional or planar magic or travel?
Because besides the party - which was totally great - this "drift" thing is boring the shit out of me. I thought about blowing something up just to break up the monotony, but I figured learning something might be a smidge more useful.
[But only a smidge.]

[..........ah
well now she's made herself sad.]

/drives that knife in a little more]Pfft, like I could forget you with how much of a pain in the ass you'd be trying to be a spooky ghost. I hope you're better at it than the other guy.
no subject
...Well, I'd at least know that showing up every few months at most and running off almost immediately is no way to haunt somebody. I'd stick around for the long game, for sure.
no subject
[Us. Him and Mags and Merle - who aren't here. Fuck. Taako rolls his eyes to keep from letting that get to him.]
no subject
Oooh, how about a prophecy on cookies? Like a word puzzle, can you piece it together before one of you scarfs them all down? My money's on nope.
no subject
[What a lovable moron. Mostly.]
You know he ate a relic, right? Did that get passed around as a company memo?
no subject
That's the sort of memo that would be top priority in our group. Like a front page headline of a newspaper. "You would not believe what happened in the Miller lab!" He's lucky his stomach wasn't turned to tourmaline.
[She can't even count the number of times "guess what he did now" was said during the 100 years they traveled together. Magnus rushes in- and some things never change.]
no subject
[Magnus was seriously a neverending source of wtfery and amusement.
...Gods, he missed that chucklefuck.]
no subject
[And a proper meatshield, ideally. Every wizard needs one of those.]
no subject
no subject
[She agrees, but this is probably toeing the line of knowing too much already, so she's not going to let slip that she knows Magnus as well as he does- better than, at this point, with their century lost.]
Hmm... looks like we'll have to keep a close eye out. My captain's got potential for the meathead requirement, but I don't know him well enough to make a decision on the rest yet.
no subject
[What was his name??? He'd seen him from the distance - he's kind of hard to miss - but Taako did his best not to get caught whenever he was sneaking about on the Heron.]
no subject
no subject
[Iron Bull, huh? What an appropriate fucking name if he's ever heard one]
How's he as a captain?
no subject
[He's no Cap'nport, but y'know.]
I kind of get the feeling that "captain" around here is more of a formality title. It's not like there's much captaining to do, and I don't follow his orders or anything.
no subject
Yeah no doubt. Not much "captaining" to do around here and not everyone takes it as seriously as some. [Jim takes it very seriously, for example. He really should lighten up.]
Does he even give orders? Are there even any worth giving?
no subject
[And if he tried, well, there's ways around that sort of thing.]
no subject
What ship rules are there? Don't blow each other out the airlock for funsies?
no subject

[He hasn't really run into that many demons in his line of work, but it's bound to happen eventually.]
Maybe the big guy's got a demonphobia and he doesn't want anyone to know.
no subject
no subject
He was young, he knows that much. 15? 17? Maybe 20 years old? Not that big yet.]
Pfft, way too fast for Taako that's for sure. Fuuuuuuck that place.
no subject
[Considering how they'd been learning magic side by side, they'd have been summoning double-demons as weenie children. They would be sooooo dead, without the perk of a Starblaster revival.]
I don't even know how the mechanics of that would work. Demons don't just spontaneously pop up like daisies.
no subject
Maybe they're like... [Snrk] Like... Maybe they're--
[Fck nope, he's going to lose it. He wheezes and disappears from view of the camera, flopping onto the bed to muffle his laughter. The mental image of demons just popping up wearing daisy hats is too much for him.]
no subject
Oh noooo, look, I cast a spell and here they come! It's the curse of the Heron's captain!
[And then she turns her comm to face the opposite wall, where a pair of daisy-topped demons are crawling up out of the floor, limbs flailing, groaning "maaaaagic~" like zombies and reaching towards the camera.]
